Unfortunately I would not recommend Idaho Express Detail. I hired them to remove a stain in my headliner which I was warned would be tough - and they were not able to get it out. Bummer, but fine. I was warned. Now for the detail. The car was already pretty clean. After my detailer was packed up and ready to go, I did a walk through and ultimately he had to go get his vacuum and supplies back out. He missed cleaning the inside of the window of the panoramic sunroof (entire top of the car), dust in some vents, the seat tracks under one of the four chair hand't been cleaned. The inside of the center console wasn't cleaned (and was emptied prior to arrival), sections in the trunk were not cleaned out. When I pointed out some grass/dirt on the furthest backseat/trunk I was told it's really hard to clean. Well... that's the job. I clean it with a roller. He didn't have one. When I asked why the gunk in some holes in the perforated seats wasn't cleaned he said he didn't have a tool for that so I got him a toothpick. Competitors are more expensive but send two people and spend the same amount of time. I heard they even remove the seats to clean. Spend the extra money and get it really clean! read more

After meeting to see condition of my truck I was given an estimate of up to $1200 for full detail, paint correction, and ceramic coating. The price was an estimate based if one stage or two stage paint correction would be needed to get all swirl marks and scratches out. I agreed to drop off my truck and pick up the next morning. I was called later saying due to it getting dark and lack of light at shop the interior was unable to be completed. The morning of the pick up was a huge disappointment. Scratches were still visible in light, bed of truck dirty, running boards dirty, marks on interior, rims still dirty, engine compartment dirty. I was told only a single stage paint correction was used. Long story short, detailer did not do the job we agreed on and left with a half a$$ job! There are two owner / operators of this business and our experience working with one of them, Jordan, was top notch both for the good customer service business practices and for the excellent quality of the detailing of our MDX. Since moving to Boise area in 2014 and in the "before days" of covid19 business interruptions we had our SUV detailed annually at a local dealer where they did a great job. But in 2020 that came to a halt and we also put a lot of 'dirt and grime' outside and in miles on the car with frequent trips back and forth to Central Oregon to care for an ill family member between late 2019 and mid 2021. So starting with a vehicle that had not been detailed in over two years, Jordan did a fantastic job and it was so convenient to have this done right in our garage. There are four levels of detailing and a menu of the work done in each can be found at their web site along with pricing for various vehicle sizes. I made an appointment for today June 9th to have a recently purchased used car detailed both inside and out; price quoted to me was $125. The guy shows up on time, looks at the car & we talk about what I wanted. He then tells me I probably spoke to Jordan and Jordan gave me the wrong price. The price now is $180. I cancelled the service. I live in a senior apartment building & many of us need this type of service & were excited that someone in our area could come here & detail our cars.
