This car wash is 100% hand wash so no scratches on your car and the lady the customer service is great. She said if I held onto my receipt that I could use my receipt amount which was $27 towards my membership. And then I would only have to pay next time eight dollars because I'm going to be out of town. I didn't want to get the membership right then because I'm going out of town for work and it wouldn't be useful. I told them I would get a membership when I get back into town they really get the bugs off! I highly recommend and I will definitely be back here. My husband is very particular about how is truck is washed and only trusts J's Ultimate Hand Car wash. With is last truck, it was older and wasn't so worried about the paint being scratched but with our newer truck, that's a whole different story. He only trusts these folks with his baby. My husband pays the monthly wash deal. It pays itself after a couple washes a month. We hit this place at least once a week. Gotta keep the truck looking pretty, especially since it's white. We stopped in today for our weekly wash. As usual, staff that greeted us at the pay station was nice. Got us on our way. The employees in the wash tunnel did a great job washing the sides and getting any excess dirt off. The people drying off the cars are some of the hardest working people! They all do such an amazing job! From the tires to the window seals, they make sure there are no water droplets on it. I appreciate my husband always tipping them nicely for their hard work. They deserve it! There's another car wash right by us that hand washes cars too. But it's hard to take that chance for convenience when you know J's consistently does such a great job. Been going here for about 2 years I think. There's a woman who takes the wash order at the gate who is rude every single time & we've just had enough. Even when I signed up for a membership she was rude. Not long ago I cancelled my membership due to being out of town a lot. I went in today and she asked if I wanted to renew it, I said not today, then she again, acted rude. We won't be returning and we will recommend against going here. We won't be treated that way, especially when we're giving you our money... I run a business myself and that would be an automatic fire. Hire some people who represent your company with respect and integrity. Withhold it. *My mother stated she stopped going here years ago as well, as her watches were stolen from her car when they were cleaning the inside. Yikes. They need an overhaul. read more

After a huge windstorm, almost everyone's car in the treasure valley had dirt splattered all over them. Afraid that going through a traditional car wash would scratch the paint - we opted for a hand wash at J's. You go like a normal car wash tunnel but inside are a couple of people who wash you car by hand. Although, it is not a 100% hand wash- there is a section of the car wash that is mechanical. We got the J's premium exterior car wash, so we didn't get any vacuuming or interior cleaning done. There was a huge line when we went because of the previously mentioned windstorm, but they are very efficient here at J's and the line of cars went through pretty quickly! I really like the attention given to the outside area work done by the workers. Let me say this to all of you reading these reviews: GIVE THESE WORKERS TIPS. I am astounded at the number of customers (I'd say 95% of them in the 5-6 years I've gone here) who don't tip. Why not? They are taking care of something you obviously care about. Workers remember things like who tips, trust me. The service I get from those I've worked with before, especially when the work was excellent, is much better when you have expressed your appreciation for their good service by tipping well. Minimum tip is $5 and $10 is better since three employees usually work on your vehicle. If you have a truck, you'd better tip. I have a smaller car and i know it doesn't take as much work as an F-150. I usually see if workers who have done a good job for me before are outside. If so, I met the manager directing traffic know at I request their service. Some of the workers have not been as good with detail. I get the inside/outside care wash and cleaning. Otherwise I'll just wash my car at home. The inside work (which isn't detailing so don't expect that) is such a nice touch and something i usually don't like to do. I'll keep going here for that service. As long as i have a say on who does the outside work, I'm happy. read more

I do not recommend this $18.00 for a exterior only wash. On one occasion I was required to drive out of the roller wash over several rollers and around and back thru because the attendant did not turn the manual soap switch when I entered. ( I saw that happen again today to someone else) Today as I received my rinse the Mgr who stands outside and directs traffic decided to walk into the wash bay as I exited. As I drove to where the sign's indicated exterior dry a Latino Woman began waving her arms at me to go somewhere else ( which it turns out was two bays away ). I had to reverse back into the next car coming off of the rollers and try to make some sense of it all. I am sure the woman would have taken responsibility for her actions if she caused damage to my vehicle. Ya Right ! J's place is disorganization in concert. read more

2 year member and have watched the quality decline while the prices go up. The ability to get a hand car wash without the brutal tiller style abrasive car wash options are lacking in the Boise area. The hand wash simply is a quick gloss o er he wi does and a few body panels, leaving many potions of the car dirty not to mention the rags they use are also dirty Kevin f streaks and clear coat scratches. I used to love this car wash. However, when I visited this week, their prices had doubled! I figured I'd give it a try and hope the service would match the price. I'm disappointed sm to say it didn't. The employees spent quite a bit of time on my car, and I'm very happy with the vacuum job. That said, there were tar deposits all over the side panels, no one even tried to wipe the spotty wax off the windshield, and the mirrors and inside of the windshield are now covered in a streaky, oily film. Overall J's did a good job, though they are kind of disorganized. After going through the car wash and parking at the bay I was told I would be alerted when they were done cleaning the interior. Never happened. I finally wandered back out to the bay and saw my vehicle parked near a gas pump at the adjacent gas station with the driver's door open. I asked one of the employees working the bay if they'd finished cleaning my car and it was indicated that it had been sitting there for some time. Guess the lesson is not to go lounge inside the lobby and expect to be told when your car is ready. Next time (if there is one) I'll wait outside and watch for my car to be moved from the bay. They did a pretty good job, but not great for the price. Better than doing it myself though and the fact that they clean the interior is a big bonus. read more

They are ridiculously expensive. For a basic car wash and interior, costs $30. What a money suck they have going. Most I ever paid for a full service car wash before this was in L.A. and it was $15. They did a below average job, the beater portion of the car wash left black beater marks on the drivers side door (This is a new car and has never been washed before) and the roof of the car was only half way washed - it's still dirty. Today was the first time I tried this car wash. It's the only hand wash around so I had high hopes. I was very disappointed in the job they did. It cost $40 for my truck and when I got home and looked at it closely there were still dirty spots all over the truck. Also they only did the tire dressing on one side. I do not recommend this place. The outside of my car looked great, hence the three stars, but the inside of my car was still rather dirty. It was vacuumed but my dashboard was still dusty, my doors and center console needed a wipe down, and the insides of my windows were still very dirty. I ended up buying wipes to clean it myself which was a huge shame after paying $25 for what they call a "Premium" inside and out wash. They also asked me what scent I would like my car and I responded with my option only to drive away with my nose assaulted by one of the other scent options that I had not chosen and I do not like the scent of. So to recap: I had to re-clean my car interior and air out the bad smell in my car following services. Definitely NOT worth $25. I'm sadly disappointed. read more

Well for what you pay for a car wash here, you would expect top notch cleans. That is not the case. I've paid 1/3rd of the price for better car washes. They left bugs all over my car. Interior looked rush through as there was still dirt in the floors and seats. Unfortunately, this is the only full service (interior and exterior) car was that I am aware of in town. I've been coming to J's for a year now. The quality of service has definitely declined. Sloppy workmanship and employees with a bad attitude. Many of the employees will press you for a tip (which I always give unless I don't have cash) If you don't give them a tip they will stink eye you and turn around and cuss you in Spanish to their coworkers. Well I speak Spanish and I understand every word. I might add that only the Spanish speaking employees act this way. Get your employees in check. Pretty disappointing. Bought the Ultimate package for $35 and even tipped the workers $5 assuming the appropriate work had been donehe headlights still had bug guts on them, car had water spots, and the workers didn't even touch the hood. That was just the exterior. The interior looked like someone had hastily wiped the the doors and dash and washed the rubber mats. Nothing else had been touched. There were dust and dirt smudges still all over the vehicle in different spots. If someone is paying for the highest package you offer, shouldn't you at least do what you advertise? Nothing was dressed or detailed as promised. Will not be coming back here. read more

They care about their work and do a very good job! I visited last week with my SUV and which had not been washed in months due to Covid. I was very surprised at how safe / efficient and professional they were in making sure the vehicle was cleaned as promised. They are the top of my list now for car washes in the dntn area of Boise. Go give them a try! The only reason they didn't get a 5 star rating is that I am super picky about car cleaning and don't think any car wash set up would score a 5 from me. I paid for the ultimate car wash (priciest on the menu) which is to include a vacuum, dust dash and center console and a mat clean. They sprayed my mats off but didn't actually clean them so they are still dirty. They failed to clean/dust the center console area and also failed to vacuum my front car seats. I have come to J's multiple times and normally this service takes 30-45 minutes, but today it took maybe 10. I didn't get a chance to check my car over since I went there on my lunch break and had to get back to the office. Extremely disappointed considering I paid for these services. read more

You really don't get the quality for the price. They let the car sit and you get water marks. The rags are damp and they don't get all the water off the car. They would rather talk than jump over and help. When they put the mats back I. My car they are wet. Been there three times and not really happy for the price. They always do a great job and are fast. If my car had not been in a while sometimes you had to drive it thru the wash twice. Almost all experiences were positive. Only a couple of times did I find something they missed in 4 years of going there. Employees are nice and do a good job. I love that it's all done by hand. Packages range from $12-$30. If you want a full detail you have to make an appointment ahead of time. A bit of wait on the weekends to be expected. Worth it if you have a car you want to keep looking clean. They left my car very dirty, it wasn't just one spot or one area, it was all over. My rubber floor mats were dirty, under the seats wasn't vacuumed, my dash was still dusty, my windshield and other car windows were left very streaky, random spots of the exterior of my car were still dirty, water marks everywhere and at the front of my car, you could still see the dead bug guts. They took maybe 10 mins of not less. It also wasn't busy so I don't understand why it wasn't done better. I just feel robbed because $35 is A LOT for a car wash, for such crappy quality. read more

My car was dirty, not muddy and needed to be cleaned inside and out. Found this business and drover there today. There was some sticker shock $30 minimum to clean the car inside and out. Decided to try it out and was pleasantly surprised. I have a bulldog and she goes in the back seat. Of course, there is dog hair and I was not expecting the detailer to get it out. Only because, it takes a long time and I get it. It took a while to get my car back, but the detailer did a great a job and I wish I would have gotten her name. Also, wished I had more cash to give her for a tip, but I will come back again. There is not much in the way of getting something to eat or drink, but there is a gas station next door with a mini mart in case you need something. read more
