After purchasing their Groupon deal, it took quite a while to actually get someone to come to my house, and they had to cancel once (with a little less than 24 hour notice.) The woman who finally came to clean was on time and polite. My bathroom was a mess and she did a good job (it was a LOT of work), but my house had a strong smell of chemical cleaner that lingered for 2 or 3 days. This was despite having the bathroom fan on, and double sliding doors open in the next room. I realized later than I never heard the water run, and the floor had a bit of residue, so I don't think anything got rinsed. After she left, I noticed the towel bar and light fixture hadn't been cleaned, nor had the walls been wiped down. She also didn't have a mop or anything, so I think she might have just sprayed and wiped the floor. Overall, not a bad deal, but I definitely didn't get the "hotel clean" I was hoping for, nor did I get the "mountain freshness" they promote on their site. I will look elsewhere for ongoing cleaning services. read more

I purchased their Groupon for two 2-hr cleanings. After over a month of attempting to contact this company, I finally had my first cleaning scheduled. I paid an extra $20 for an extra hour on this first cleaning, to make 3 hrs total. The woman showed up, I showed her the rooms to concentrate on, and left to run errands. After 2.5 hours I returned and the woman stated that she had completed everything (my house is 2200 sq ft). She took my extra $20 and left 30 minutes early. Upon inspecting my house, it was evident that she actually hadn't cleaned. After a recent bathroom remodel, my house has been left with extra dust; my entire bedroom, floors, baseboards, ceiling fan, etc. still had an obvious layer of dust on them; my bathroom counter still had construction dust covering it; the hardwood hadn't been touched; these were the areas that I had asked her to focus on. (I have a picture of the dust/scraps on the bathroom floor that I swept up after she left; nothing was mopped.) I called the company and they promptly sent out another woman to inspect the house. She agreed that it was not cleaned to their standards. She then went on that they often need to send their newer, in-training employees to these "coupon promotions" because they can't take away their better employees from their regular cleanings; she stated that they often ask the customer to stay in the house so that we can be sure that the areas are cleaned to our liking. (They never asked me to stay, and besides, I am not interested in training their employees.) They offered to have the same woman come back for an extra 30 minutes to finish the dusting that she hadn't completed. There is no possible way she could finish what she hadn't done in a mere 30 minutes. I declined this. Their compensation was that on my next cleaning they would send someone different and add an extra 30 minutes - this was after she had the nerve to argue with me that they actually only owed me 17 minutes, which was absolutely inaccurate. There was absolutely no compensation for the 2.5 hrs of cleaning that I did not receive. At this point, I have paid them $95 and feel that I've received nothing. I'm not sure what exactly this woman was doing in my house for 2.5 hours, but if this is who they have chosen to represent their company then I prefer not to even have this company back in my house. read more

This cleaning company deserves 0 stars! I used this company with a coupon that my realtor gave me for a 4 hour cleaning for $99. They showed up 30 minutes late and spent only 3 hours cleaning. The ladies also lied to their boss about having to wait around for me to show up to pay them making them late for their next job. None of that was disclosed to me, neither was the fact that a 2 person cleaning crew would only be there for 2 hours total, so 4 between the two of them. They claimed that the house was very dirty as they were not even able to clean half of it in the 3 hours that they were there. My house was actually in pretty good condition. All the walls had recently been painted and new carpet had been installed just a few days prior. The kitchen had recently been remodeled as well, so there was not much that they had to do, just the bathrooms and the hardwood floors, but they didn't even get those finished. Their boss claimed to have explained all this to me upon scheduling, however none of this info was disclosed. This cleaning company is completely horrible, they do a crappy job, and they basically lie to their boss who also lied to us after speaking with them in regards to the crap job that was done. I am never going to use this company again, and my realtor will no longer refer anyone to them as well. read more

Like others who have reviewed this company, it took me months to schedule a cleaning, and the cleaning that was done was not done well. I emailed the company several times and made numerous phone calls (sometimes three in a day) before I was able to schedule an appointment. Finally, I was able to get an appointment scheduled three months after first contacting the company. I had purchased a Living Social for four hours of cleaning - one kitchen, two bathrooms, and five other rooms of my choice. I live in a two bedrooms/two bathroom townhouse that is about 1700 square feet. The bathroom downstairs was recently remodeled, and is rarely used, so it did not require much cleaning. The kitchen was also recently remodeled with new countertops, a new stove top, a new sink, new backsplash (all installed days before), and cleaned and painted cabinets, so the kitchen was already sparkling. I did not need the second bedroom cleaned, as we are expecting a baby and the room is not currently being used. I met the woman who came to clean and I showed her the two bathrooms that needed cleaning and asked her to focus on the floors, which were filthy. I had to leave and go to work (the woman was nice but chatty, and I was late to work). She did a decent job on the floors, but I am not sure what else she cleaned in the four hours. I suppose she wiped the kitchen counters because she had moved some items on the counter (such as the glass jar filled with dish soap) and did not return them to their original places. The bathroom upstairs almost looked worse than before. There were spots on the mirrors and the glass shelves, there was a leaf in the shower (which was not there before), and a white blob on the countertop (which was not there before and appeared to be cleaning product). It took me less than five minutes to wipe down the mirrors, the countertop, and the sinks to make them look clean, so I am not sure why it could not be done in the four hours allotted. Overall, I was not satisfied with this company. I suppose you get what you pay for. But even taking into account that it was a Living Social deal, I cannot say I got what I paid for. read more

After purchasing a Groupon deal, I contacted Idaho Mountain Cleaning, and had a very quick response from them to schedule my first cleaning. I was very happy with the first cleaning, so I decided to schedule cleanings on a monthly basis. I just had my second cleaning by Sarah, and am extremely happy with it. She was on time and worked so hard to make my house look beautiful. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a cleaning. She is prompt, efficient, and very friendly. I will definitely continue having Sarah clean my home. She is awesome!! read more

My daughter bought a 2 hour cleaning from Idaho Mountain Cleaning Services through Groupon as a gift to me for my birthday. That was in November 2013. I still have not been able to contact anyone to set up an appointment. I have left several messages and no response. I will tell my daughter to get her $ back. read more

Please note the bad reviews on both Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. I have yet to find a good review of this company. Unfortunately, we I bought this Groupon at the end of August 2013. I had not done my homework (also a lesson about using Groupon). I emailed as this instructed and then followed up with multiple calls and couldn't reach anyone and never had a phone call returned. Finally, 9/25/13 I got a hold of Gary, who scheduled a cleaning the very next day at 4 pm. However, by 4:20 pm no one had arrived. I called to see if they were coming and Gary called the cleaner who said she couldn't make it. He said they would reschedule an appointment for me right away but then I called at least 10 times after 9/27 when I got my work schedule and not once did I receive a call back. I finally got a call back at the end of October after calling and leaving multiple messages asking for a refund and that I was dissatisfied. I also tried emailing them and they did email back saying they wouldn't object to giving me a refund, yet it is now Nov. 14th and I still do not have one. Ever since the email saying they would give me a refund, I called 7 more times and left messages and emailed twice and no response. read more
