Don't bother. They were recommended by my insurance, so I decided to take my car there. Soon after, I got a call saying my taillight couldn't be repaired because they believed it wasn't part of the accident. I told them several times that it definitely was -- the scratch on the taillight wasn't there before. They hung up on me. Later, I got a call saying I needed to pick up my car, and when I asked again about the taillight, they said they never repaired it. From the accident claim to the finished repairs was 2 weeks and the 1 year old car looks brand new again. This place was okay. I had a vandalism occur -- someone drove down our neighborhood and shot our cars with a BB gun or air rifle. They got my driver side back panel. I considered not getting it fixed because it was so small and not really noticeable, but unfortunately, the paint started to peel and the car started to rust. This place was suggested by me by my insurance, and it's near one of the places I work. The scheduling was fine... when I got there, the receptionist was medium-friendly... it wasn't until we interacted for a few minutes before she actually was friendly. I really liked the text message updates about my car... but what I didn't like was that I got 3 different dates for when my car would be finished. I brought it in on a Monday, and they called me and said it would be done either Wednesday or Thursday, but the text messages told me it would be done on Friday. Now, I didn't mind if they kept it until Friday, I knew there was a possibility of a lot of work. My only thing was that I'm a huge planner... and it gave me anxiety not knowing when my car would be done. Then they texted me on Thursday, about 3 minutes before they closed and said that my car was done. Fortunately, they were able to help me out a bit after-hours to get my car completed and so I could do a night time pick up, so that was really good. When I re-evaluated my car, I noticed a sizeable scratch on my driver side door. I contacted them and sent them photos of it, but they wanted me to bring it in... it's kinda hard to do when you work full time and live in Denver. So I'm just going to leave it, but I'm not super happy. They did do a good job about fixing that terrible dent though, so at least there's that. read more

I would advise anyone to be on their toes when dealing with this shop as they are not fully transparent and try to take short cuts whenever possible. Heather tried telling me to pick up my vehicle while they waited for another part to come in and then I could bring it back because they didn't have room on their lot to store my vehicle and the insurance company supposedly would not cover my rental anymore. I responded by letting her know that I could not give her MONEY for an incomplete job and that's when she changed her tune and they all the sudden had room on their lot and an extension on my rental... LOL how ironic ;-) read more

Do not take your vehicle for any type of repair to Ideal Carstar in Littleton. They have no direct line to anyone at the company and the representatives are unresponsive on issues that come up during the estimate and repair process. They also are not approved by certain auto manufacturers to perform repairs on vehicles they accept. Go elsewhere and save yourself the headache. read more

Got rear ended. Brought my 2019 vw Jetta in to get fixed because the other persons insurance company was paying for it. They called me a couple days later saying there were additional scratches on bumper and wheel well that they could fix for $104 since they're already doing the other work on the bumper. I was very clear about whether the $104 was just to fix the scratches on the bumper or all the scratches including on the wheel well. They said it all would be fixed. Came to pick up the vehicle and they only fixed the scratches on the bumper and left the other ones. So they only partially fixed it. When I called them about it the estimator totally changed his story and tried to say we agreed on just fixing the bumper. And tried to convince me that I was mistaken. Why would I pay to get the damage only partially fixed. I know I was very clear while talking to him about it. I will not use this company again, and I will make sure to not refer anyone to them. The front office people are nice, but Carstar as a whole is SHADY! read more

Highly disappointed in their handling of simple logistics. I had an appointment setup for months to repair hail damage, and when I arrived they didn't have parts available (my car needs a roof replacement, which they hadn't even ordered). Additionally they forgot to arrange my rental car, despite me calling earlier in the week to confirm. So after turning in my car, Enterprise had no reservation for me, and wouldn't have a vehicle ready for 3 days. Mistakes happen, and they apparently had an employee leave recently. However, what knocks them down to a one star for me is the way they didn't seem to even care. If they had shown even a modicum of remorse, I would have just rescheduled with them. When I went back in to tell them I'd like to move on to another body shop, they literally said nothing - just retrieved my keys, and handed them to me with a blank, "F*** U" look on her face. I've never had a customer service experience in my life like this. They had no interest in keeping my business or trying to address the problem (I will give credit to one woman that briefly tried to interject helpfully, but she wasn't there when I left them for good). There are just too many other shops out there to deal with customer service like this. Maybe they do good work, I didn't get that far, but they weren't able to do the simple stuff, so I am moving on. read more

The work was great. Looks like new. They communicate a lot, which is good. Lots of texts, etc. The issue, they use the word complete too many times in the communications. If the repair is complete, you still can't get your vehicle. It has to go through QA. Not a bad thing, but when you use these types of final words in a process, like done, finished, complete, people return their rental and are waiting to get a vehicle that you still need two days on. read more

I've been here twice after auto accidents and both times had an excellent experience. The staff was professional and handled everything well from start to finish. When I had an appt for either the estimate or repairs I never had to wait and was helped right away. There is an Enterprise car rental on site so a car was waiting for me when I dropped my car off. Both CarStar and Enterprise worked with my insurance so that it was minimal hassle for me. I would definitely recommend them if you need auto body repair in the Highlands Ranch area. read more

If I could put a ZERO star rating I would. They had our car for 54 days and the insurance only paid for 30 days of the rental car. The manager kept making excuses as to why they were taking too long (they quoted 24 days for finish). They didn't pay for all of the rental car for the remaining 24 days they had it after insurance paid. A few weeks after getting it back, our transmission went out because of "critters" eating the wires for weeks when it was in their possession. The dealership that fixed the transmission stated the car would have had to been outside or in a shed of some sort wherein a rabbit/s were keeping warm in the car and eating the wire covers. So - on top of all of the costs for the body shop repairs (which were not all that great) we had to pay $417 additional costs to fix our transmission. WARNING DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! read more

My car was damaged in the terrible wind storm Denver had in April. I was disgruntled to say the least considering I was on the hook for the deductible despite not even being in my vehicle. Ideal Car Star was one of my insurance company's "preferred" shops. They did an excellent job on the repairs and completed them on schedule. After the initial estimate, more damage was found but that didn't delay the repairs at all. They have a text service that keeps you updated as to the status of your repairs but it's all automated and can be misleading (the texts said my car was going to be in the shop for an extra week). The shop manager and claims rep were very responsive to my calls/emails. When I picked up my car, it was cleaned inside and out and looked great. read more

My only issue with these guys is that I checked in at the front desk and still wound up waiting alone in the lobby for a half hour, while my insurance agent was waiting for me in another part of the store, and claims he wasn't notified that I was there. He finally came out when he heard me calling Geico to complain. Communication from the front desk could have been better. However, they more-than redeemed themselves when they not only did a beautiful job on my body work and paint, and did it under 2 weeks (they basically had to replace the entire passenger side), but they detailed the interior of my car and delivered it to my house! That was a first. They offered when I told them I'd need to arrange a ride. I was running late and t hey were waiting patiently outside when I arrived. Very nice, pleasant and helpful staff. I have had 2 cars fixed here with insurance claims with no problems. I tried to get an estimate to fix the hail damage on my car. When I called, the lady said I could come in today and get an estimate, but when I told her, I did not have insurance, she told be the first appointment was a week away. I made the appointment and they emailed a reminder. When I got there they couldn't find my appointment. After the fourth time of telling them that I didn't have insurance, the estimator reluctantly took a look at the car, the first verbal estimate was 7k, then he told me the estimate would take an hour, I said ok, I'll get my wife to come get me, then he said it will be 10k, and he told me it would take 6 weeks to repair my car, not to start repairing my car but 6 weeks after they start, and finally the PDR guy came and said no PDR then he told me 12k. I asked him to email the qoute. He said he wouldn't waste his time, that I was not going to pay that. I told him, I might just get the hood and right brake light fixed, he still refused to do a quote. The whole thing took 10 minutes. I will never take another car here, and i will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. read more

So the car repair aspect - amazing -they did everything perfectly, were communicative, professional, friendly, very impressed - they even cleaned my car and put air in my tires. The enterprise portion is the part I want to Yelp about. There are two reps there, a woman and a man. The man was excellent, friendly, above and beyond customer service..etc. The woman was almost comically bad. The guy was on a work call when I first approached, she was not, and was trying to shove a metal box under his desk for some reason - he was trying to help a customer and she was banging the box around, so loud, I felt terrible for the guy who was trying to stay professional. He helped me that day and everything was great. When I returned to pick up my car and return the rental She was texting and made me wait for her to finish, she was just sitting there while her phone (her work/enterprise phone) was ringing non stop - I remember thinking wow I Hope I never have to call them.... I did have to call them today by the way and sat on hold for 14 minutes........... When I picked up my car, she was awkward and walked away and I had to ask her if she needed anything else from me? and she was like "if you just hang on a second.." as if I was being impatient but I was just confused I didn't know if we were done or not. I really felt like I was an inconvenience to her, and i was literally the only person there so it's not like there was a line. It wasn't so bad that i'd say she should be fired or anything, but I want people to know that the guy was awesome and she was strange and offputting and if you come from a customer service background it's pretty shocking to see!
