Despite some negative comments, I was remarkably impressed and thankful at the service and care I received. I had to have two teeth extracted, one a wisdom tooth and it was done with the utmost care and attention. The staff is incredibly kind and thoughtful and the dentist is simply superb. This is usually a difficult and traumatic experience and I cannot say enough about how well they all did, the attention and care, and the results. It's rare you feel a medical prover cares and is personally invested but I am so thankful to have gotten my work done here and under this team. This practice is just looking to make money- typical big box dentist. They push procedures and x-rays when not needed or covered by insurance. I gave them several tries since they are convenient but every time I had a charge not covered by insurance for a regular cleaning. I even had to sign a waiver so that they would not take unnecessary x-rays (again). My family will not be going back. read more

Had my Mercury Fillings replaced with the clear filling and year and a half ago. I come in for an Annual Teeth cleaning and the Dentist started in on a fear campaign, claiming in need 3 fillings replaced because they are becoming loose due to my allegedly teeth grinding. Wrote up an entire bill, even though my fillings replacement should have been free under the warranty for an amount of days after dental work completed, she even threw in a Mouth Guard charge because I allegedly grind my teeth. They refused to show me proof of the loose filling. Claiming they have send send the images off, and will not have in office for over a week. It made no sense. Anyway I cancelled my next visit because I know the doctor was lying, and being shady to line her pockets. So i rescheduled my next teeth cleaning with the East Dallas Location and not one mention of any compromised loose tooth filling nor any wear and tear on my teeth! The Doctor is scamm'en. Period! And I have the paper work to prove it from both doctors. So just go in for your teeth cleaning and don't allow them to hustle u and try and milk your insurance for additional unnecessary procedures. I should have asked for a credit to my credit card for cancelling my next appointment. Scamm'en, no less. read more

I rarely send out low reviews. They had ONE job: to clean my mouth. Too easy. I highly do not recommend this place. I've never had an issue with mouth. Now my entire mouth hurt. And yes they claimed I needed additional dental work due to a hair line crack on one bottom tooth for over $3000.And if I don't receive their recommendation my bottom may need a root canal. They were very consistent which was strange. Strangely my mouth now hurts. Irrigation and mouth cancer screening is a no. I am not from here and never heard any such thing. It's a service not covered by insurance. Never heard this treatment. I regret for saying yes. The person who cleaned my teeth checked my mouth while typing on a computer keyboard. She never changed her gloves. I generally love to visit the dentist. But this place is not an IDEAL place. Differently a a place to suck $$ from you. read more

Had an appointment to get my crown put in for my dental implant. They called me the evening before to tell me it wasn't in yet. Ok, not happy but it happens. I hear nothing for days. I decide to call them myself. Oh it look like it will be another 10 days. Not happy with that. "We can't guarantee it will be in that day so probably need a two day window for it. Now I'm pissed. Not only is there a lack of communication on their part, they have the NERVE to ask me how they can make it better. I suggest they pay the $100 to have it expedited. Oh no they can't do that. So done with this office. Oh, and their periodontist has terrible customer service as well. They don't answer the phone or call you back when you leave a message. read more

Complaint regarding the Periodontal Staff at Ideal Dental, Las Colinas. I went in on a referral from Ideal Dental in Hurst to their Periodontal doctor at the Los Colinas location. Got there and was put in a chair, X-ray of tooth taken, doctor came in and said the tooth could not be fixed and should be extracted. He ask if I wanted to do it there or back in Hurst. I said I'm already in the chair, pull it. I signed a consent form for the exam, extraction, and if the root or roots broke off, them more extensive work as in bone grafting, scraping, and tissue grafting could be done if needed. The tooth came out easily and whole, and the doctor immediate sewed it up. BUT, I was charged for EVERYTHING totaling $1,168.00. When I went back for a post op exam, I questioned the Invoice. The receptionist said that doctor wasn't there and she would have him call me. He never called. Two weeks later I went in to the Hurst office for an already scheduled cleaning. After the cleaning I engaged the office manager and told her what happened. She had the X-ray girl X-ray my teeth and she showed me X-ray of the socket and no bone grafting was done. She told me she would get a copy of the paperwork that was in my file at Los Colinas because she felt I had cause. Never heard from her again. In the mean time I get a notice from my insurance company that the charges for that extraction visit were denied. I knew that I had reached my limit before the extraction visit, so I paid cash, and that was clear at that visit. SO, Ideal Dental in Los Colinas tried to double bill and collect again. (Starting to smell fraud here) I called my insurance carrier and filed a complaint with them after discussing everything that happened. I suggested that they watch Ideal Dental for future problems. Went back to the Hurst office and ask the receptionist for Ideal Dental's Manager's email address so I could complain in writing. Their Manager called me and told me that the periodontal section had it's own manager, Julien, and he would call me. He called me and suggested a meeting with that doctor in question. I told Julien I'd call him back to reschedule that meeting. Called back, left a message, and no one has called me. Can't file a Medical Issue in Small Claims Court, has to be Regular Court. I assume they are just hoping I go away. I will after I keep posting this Complaint on Social Media for about the next 5 years. I must say that I really like Dr. Uma at the Hurst Office, and it's ashamed she associated with such devious types. read more

Ideal dental is more interested in selling you a $350 mouthguard and $60 antibacterial spray that is not needed than just cleaning your teeth. This place is too slick and their only interest is to maximize profit. The dental hygienist is extremely obnoxious and just keeps telling you to floss twice a day, even though I informed her several times, that because I am disabled, I am unable to reach my back teeth. She just continues to repeat it like a parrot. I honestly don't think she even listens to what her patients say. I will not be going back. This is going to be VERY long, but to summarize: It's anything but ideal. I cant put into words how much I don't like this place, the entire time I was there I felt like I was being used, and straight up uncomfortable. The nurse that worked with me before the dentist came in was genuinely horrible. She took my profile picture for the account with the same camera that they used to look inside mouths which I thought was lazy and just off/eccentric. I told her I didn't like the picture and she brushed it off and told me that it was "fine", completely disregarding the opinion of the customer. She left for a moment to go look for a dentist to give me my procedure, she came back a few minutes later, alone, and told me she was going to do the procedure herself because she "couldn't find anyone". Thankfully, a dentist came in before she could start and took over. Apart from all of the atrocities of this scam of a dentistry office; I liked my dentist. (I think his name was Dr. Moon, he rocks. He is the only good thing about that hell-hole.) What followed the procedure was just as horrible as the intro. For context: I am in need of alignment because two of my teeth are crooked. I ever-so-briefly mentioned the POSSIBILITY of getting invisalign for my teeth. Minutes later a lady from the front office comes in and gives me the most cookie-cutter sales approach I've ever seen. (Not to mention they were demanding a payment on the spot.) I'm seeing claims on other reviews that negative reviews of this place are being removed from google. I have no experience of this but I don't doubt it. It just means they're trying to stick their slimy little fingers into the pockets of people that haven't gone there yet, and don't know what they're in for. read more

Watch out! The office staff was all smiles and quite friendly. They took their time getting me in, not excessively, but not much rush. The first inpatient exam took 1 hour and 30 minutes. This included X-rays and pictures with modern equipment. It included visual inspection by the Dentist. They recommended many different procedures including expected Bridge and Implants and tried to sell me Invisalign (something I've been thinking of straightening minor tooth adjustments). I have decent dental insurance. And so I was rather taken aback by the itemized recommendations they gave. Everything but the initial visit cost hundreds of dollars out of pocket while charging my insurance as well. At all times they recommended the maximum procedure when another less expensive option would have done quite well. For example they recommended a deep cleaning that is necessary, but they recommended a Periodontal deep cleaning with antibiotic patches, which is not covered by my insurance, which considers this an excessive unnecessary procedure. They wanted to do this over two office visits doing half my mouth at a time. They stated that my insurance wouldn't cover a single office visit. I later learned this is because insurance views this as excessive. This can (and has been) done in a single visit without the antibiotic patches between the gums. When I told them while heading out the door I would need to look at the numbers the office manager told me that because it was the end of month she could get me in today and waive the out of pocket expenses for fillings. This set off alarms. I realized this was a hard sale and they were attempting to get anything and everything they could. The paperwork they have you sign is legally very much in favor of their business and signs away many of your rights. They can make up any dollar amount and put you in debt easily. I further tested this office manager and called later. She made appointments for three different procedures "waiving" all out of pocket expenses. All done verbally, no written agreement. I have since read reviews elsewhere that substantiate my fears. Other sites reviews show this business has negative reviews removed from *oogle, which explains why they have such a high *oogle rating. It is apparent these people are out to get my money. No amount of smiles, promises, verbal agreements, modern equipment will get me to trust this office. read more

This place is a scam. My husband came for his semiannual cleaning and x-rays. They started to do a 3D scanning on his teeth, outside of normal x-rays. After being there for almost an hour they came in and tried to sell him $6,000 of Invisalign for a slightly crooked bottom tooth he is not concerned about. Then came in and told him he would need $337 deep cleaning rather than a standard insurance-paid cleaning due to some plaque build up on the back of his teeth. He declined, so the dentist came back to sell him on this service comparing it to plaque build up on the heart. He once again politely declined, and they REFUSED to do a normal cleaning. Stating his insurance would no longer pay for it due to the dentist's diagnosis of requiring deeper cleaning. This is the part that to me screams scam, I have never heard of a dental office declining a standard cleaning, a covered service by his insurance with a covered payor to their dental office, due to "deeper cleaning" need. My husband had to leave, an hour of wasted time, with no teeth cleaning and now has to rebook elsewhere. Now that we see other reviews with the same issues it is clear the goals of this office. My husband would have declined the 3D exams, etc. if he understood what was happening and saved himself time. If you just want a normal dental cleaning and x-rays without a manipulative selling approach for additional cash services go elsewhere! read more

My fiancée and I took advantage of the free cleaning! What comes w that is the free exam so that was a plus! Got an X-ray and pics of my teeth - they put it on the tv in front of you so you know what the dentist is talking about. I thought that was a nice touch. The hygienist that did my cleaning was very gentle and told me when it would be tender so I appreciated that greatly lol Everyone here was very nice, sweet, and friendly! They ensured I was comfortable the entire time and were very accommodating. I do highly recommend even if all you need is routine check up! read more

I had a pretty bad experience at this place. First, my appointment was automatically cancelled after I was told in-person that it was confirmed. When I asked for the reason for cancellation, I was told that they would need verbal reconfirmation to a system generated phone call or a text message. I received none of them. I did overlook that issue given that some clinics have system issues and also they still asked me to come in. After some long discussion over the phone, they were able to take me in. However, it took an hour an 45 minutes to 2 hours to just for a cleaning appointment. The doctor spent majority of the time explaining the treatment plan for my teeth, doing x-rays (again even after my old dentist sent over x-rays), recommending me to the orthodontist, and other treatment options but did not get to the cleaning for which I made the appointment in the first place. At one point, since I waited long enough for the doctor to come back, one of the staff member mentioned that I could leave if I was in a rush (after an hour or so was spent there already). Finally, after enough long back and forth with the staff, I was able to have doctor to come and clean the teeth. Not sure if she was upset or not, but she chose to not rinse the teeth and showed me a lot of bleeding occurring in the mouth and was not very gentle with my teeth. She told me that it would be a learning lesson for me for not flossing enough. I have never had this happen to me before. After this incident, despite me saying that I do not want another manual floss, the hygienist still gave me a floss on my bleeding gums in a not so gentle manner. I would not recommend this place to anyone and recommend that you rather find a different dentist. read more

I arrive and think, ok, this should be fine, no one is in the waiting room. 3 people at the desk, I see 2 techs walking around the back (saw their shadows behind the door) **************** Waste of time!! This was my first visit and last time coming here. I arrived 15 min prior to my 10:30 appmt at 10:15 and filled out the remaining paperwork related to Covid (took me 5 min). My appointment time came and passed and at 10:50 I asked the receptionist how long it would be. Keep in mind I was the only person in the waiting room the entire time. I was told that one of the dental techs did not come to work so they were behind. (It would have been nice to have known that they weren't fully staffed when I arrived at 10:15.) Five minutes later they bring me to the back, which I wait another 15 minutes with no interaction with any techs. I guess I was brought to the back to appease me so that I would think I would be seen by a tech. By this time it's 11:00 am, still no xrays, still hadn't talked to a dental tech, no blood pressure check, absolutely nothing. This would have been my been my new patient appmt so I expected 1.5hrs but for 45 minutes to pass, with no interaction, I will pass on this place. I took time out of my work day to get a simple yearly check of my teeth. My time is valuable just like the dentist and the techs. I will just drive to my dentist in Hurst 30 min away where my time is appreciated. read more

I came in for just a Cavity and I end up with Invisalign. I wouldn't have even considered wearing braces until they offered me those clear trays and with a decent price it was hard to pass up. I haven't had any problems it's as smooth as can be. Every couple weeks I have to go in to get new trays and staff is always friendly & professional. I'm kind of high maintenance, so I appreciate how much they put up with from me! I've been going through the Invisalign process here, and it's been a good experience. I did have to get a bunch of cavities filled before starting Invisalign, but I already knew about the majority of them from my previous dentist. I would always recommend getting a second opinion if you're unsure about the work. They've also been flexible with scheduling as I'm out of town for work a lot. I do wish they could do appointment confirmations through text though. I'll continue to use them. read more

Went in for a routine cleaning. First, pictures were taken of my teeth along with x-rays. The dentist reviewed the pictures with me (before examining my actual teeth) and told me I have 4 cavities. Being over 30 and only having one cavity my whole life I was skeptical and after a second I opinion I of course DO NOT have any cavities. They also did not catch that I have root loss in one of my teeth which needs to be watched closely. They tried to sell me on invisalign, if I signed up that day I got a percentage off. I do not trust that they are taking care of their patients properly and instead are only trying to sell. read more

I had some work done by Dr Oniah and she was very nice. Although my experience here was not the best. I felt the front desk staff was very rude all 3 times I came in, very unfriendly and unapproachable. I had a root canal done and had to do it it 2 sessions (super inconvenient) then I paid for my crown and made an appointment to come in and have it set on 2/27. The Friday before (when I already scheduled the time off work) they called and told me they had to cancel that appointment, and if I could re schedule. I said I could but it would have to be I'm a Saturday because I do not have any time off work until the following month. Long story short they were unwilling to accommodate me even though whatever the case may be they dropped the ball on my appointment. That same day my temporary crown popped off and I called and they told me to go ahead and come in anytime to get it re cemented on. I came in and again the front office staff acted as though it was inconveniencing them. I explained to her I was told to come in whenever I could and this wouldn't be a problem had my crown been set 2/27 like it was supposed to have been. She just said "we will go ahead and put you on the schedule" it wasn't doing me any favors. Once I finally set this crown I will never come back I am updating this review 6 months later. I appreciated the office manager trying to make things right and for the most part I was satisfied enough to continue to go here, mainly because it is close to where I live and work. However I still would not recommend this place. One of the last few times I went I was advised I needed quite a bit of work which I am sure is true I have had teeth problems all my life. I had told them I was on a budget and so they split up all the work I needed into 4 appointments. Today would have been my last one but suddenly the dentist felt my X-rays needed to be updated which is fine but now suddenly after 4 visits and quite a bit of money suddenly I need 3 more crowns??? I know my teeth are not perfect and have been getting fillings each time I go. I am makes a real effort to take care of my teeth and I am not in any sort of pain and I just don't see how after all these visits suddenly I am going to need an additional 3 root canals and crowns. I am definitely going to get a second opinion and another thing when I went to pay my bill the front desk woman told me I had a 23$ balance from a previous visit. Last time I was in was 7/10/18 and I paid what was do in full I didn't make a partial payment, so that is very suspicious that in a matter of a month from my last visit 3 crowns and a 23$ "balance" popped up out of no where. I feel like this has turned into a money pit and I am just trying to do the best I can to take proper care of my teeth as a single parent on a very fixed income. This is unfortunate and I should have stuck to my gut when I wrote this review but I thought to give it another go. Bad decision. read more

He was explaining to me throughly regarding how my teeth and gum are doing, and was recommending stuff that would help me and was not recommending me stuff that would not help me. On top of that they told me I didn't qualify for the free cleaning that I'd have to wait. The dental hygienist leaked water all over me and when I told her that this is not supposed to happen she just blamed it on the machine. The reality is she was lazy and did a half ass cleaning. I am calling my regular dentist to have them get the X-rays ASAP and I'll make sure I tell everybody not to use this office even if it's covered in our network or close to the job you guys lost a lot of business. I was in the area and had a dental emergency., I Google this place and was a little nervous to tell you the truth...because based on the google reviews I wasn't sure if I was going to get the care I needed but unfortunately it was the only place open and taking same day appointments.....for my surprise this place was clean and the front staff was very nice and caring , they were able to see me same day and took care of my emergency on the spot ! the ladies at the front desk were so helpful and Sara was able to work out a payment plan for me to get my dental work done and financed.
