I will never use Ideal again! When I made my appt with them, we discussed the fact my wife and I only needed our 6 month cleaning. I was very specific that we wanted only what our insurance would pay for. When we arrived for our cleaning we re-iterated that fact. They did all kinds of X-rays along with other test. They DID NOT do our cleanings as requested. They wanted to do deep cleanings and all kinds of other work close to $1000 each. We were upset that our original request was not fulfilled but other costly work not requested was. We now both are being billed for work the insurance will not pay for. It does not matter what you request, they will did what want they wanted to when you are seated and then bill you for that work. read more

Called and asked if they did free consultations for orthodontics , they said they do , made the appointment , during appointment was seen by the Dr then told I need to do certain services in order to schedule/refer with the orthodontics , but again thought that was the whole point of appointment was to SEE orthodontics there, was never explained I needed to be referred out , or was being charged for the visit that I was told was going to be free . read more

This dental office cancelled my fiancee's emergency wisdom teeth removal appointment less than 24 hours before it was to be completed because "people called out". So much for patient care and consideration - we chose this office for the timing and the promise that they would be able to quickly get to work before our wedding at the end of the month - now my fiancee will spend our wedding and honeymoon in considerable pain. If I could give zero stars, I would. My fiancé scheduled an appointment with Ideal Dental Valley Ranch and received an official confirmation email stating: "Your appointment at Ideal Dental Valley Ranch has been scheduled for Friday, July 18th, 2025 - 4:00 PM." The email came directly from the dental office's email address -- not some third-party system or external scheduler. He left work early and rearranged his entire week to make this appointment happen. But when he showed up, the staff claimed they had no record of it. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to make it right, they continued to gaslight us by saying it was never scheduled. We have clear proof -- and I've attached the screenshot to this review. Look at the attached screenshot and tell me how this is not an appointment confirmation. How can they send this kind of message and still try to convince us that we imagined it? As someone who works in healthcare, I can confidently say that if my team ever made a mistake like this, we'd take accountability and ensure the patient was taken care of. The fact that Ideal Dental Valley Ranch refused to own up to their error or even offer a basic apology is completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this office to anyone who values their time, integrity, or expects even the bare minimum level of respect and responsibility from a healthcare provider. read more

The employees were friendly, the office clean, and it even smelled like a spa. The front desk went over my treatment plan with me, the hygienist was thorough, and the dentist was honest. I went to Ideal Dental for an x-ray. Dr. Alexandria Talley was very nice. She recommended that I get a deep cleaning. The hygentist was good. Dr. Talley told me about how I should floss everyday. DANGER!!!! My wife had a root canal and crown done here. The First root canal was done wrong and the crown didn't fit. THE SECOND root canal was done incorrectly and the crown was forced on. Then she had to go to and endodontist to get a THIRD ROOT CANAL on the same tooth. Endodontis said that a crown should have never been put onto that tooth. It was infected and Ideal dental did not do the second root canal correctly. She now has to go to a oral surgeon to get the tooth corrected and then have yet another crown intsalled. We are over $5000 out of pocket for one tooth. Good luck getting ahold of someone that cares. This is a puppy mill dentist scam. SCAM! read more

Yesterday I went to get a tooth fixed that the filling would not stay in. I know at this location they take a very long time, which is why I now go on days I am not working because 2-4 hours at a dentist is crazy on days you work. I got there at 8:15am for an 8:30 appointment. We left at 11:20 so it was in time for lunch. That is not my issue with yesterday. The office is always clean and it's normally always the same front desk people. Not overly friendly but cordial plus get the job done. The dentist that finally came in where I was seated was another new one but seemed to be in general a new dentist? He was nice and seemed to be thorough, his tech for the the day kept hitting me in the face with tools the whole procedure, if it was not that she was pinching my left cheek with the suction tool. She kept saying "im sorry" and yet kept hurting me or hitting me. After the first 3 times I'd thought it would stop. I had to get a crown and yesterday it was a temp crown which the dentist did not put in, she did. Mind you my right side of my face/mouth was numb from shots for procedure and the side she was hitting the whole time was not. When she was setting up the temp, I felt blood on my should where the bib was, she had hit my lip with the polishing tool(which is like a drill). She proceeded to lie to me. "Oh let me get some Vaseline for your lips" she kept saying my lips were dry and it became obvious she had done something. Coincidentally after this appointment I was going to a doctor for a B12 shot, she saw my lip when I walked in and asked me about it. She looked and could see where this girl had punctured my lip with the tool, it had a hole in it. You know accidents happen so do your job and own up to it. It's a shame that people are no longer honest. Later in the day as the pain shot wore off I could feel it and see it swelling more. Dr gave me an ointment for it and it was only minutes after it happened. read more

The worst front office experience I have ever received. Absolutely no one returns calls for messages left on their voicemail. I had to call another Ideal Dental office in another city to have them call the Valley Ranch location to have the office manager call me back. Once she did call me at 11am on Saturday she said and I quote " I'll call the dr and call you right back". I waited all day Saturday, all day Sunday and until 2pm on Monday I finally gave up on waiting for her to call me back. I called the office and spoke with the office manager again.... she never offered and explanation as to why she failed to call me back. During this telephone exchange she told me she was going to get the dr to call in a prescription to the pharmacy and if there were any issues she would call me. That was at 2pm Monday. It is now 7 am Wednesday and guess what.... No prescription was ever called in to the pharmacy and not one person has called me back. Absolutely the worst place to go if you expect a professional front office experience. The dentist and assistant were great... Their voicemail states that they are open from 9-1 on Saturday and the sign on the door states the same thing. Guess what. 1. They don't answer the phone on Saturday and they are not open on Saturday. When I inquired as to why the misleading information I was told " we are only open on certain Saturdays". Bait and switch tactics employed in their marketing strategy I see. read more

Had we not checked the patient payment schedule and made them correct the charges, we would have overpaid them by well over a thousand dollars. They really don't care, it's all about the money. My daughter got braces at Ideal Dental Valley Ranch. The orthodontic team is actually only at this location once a month. They are impossible to get in contact with. I have left voicemails, text messages, and even had the office staff send emails for days. No reply. No response. The individual locations do not have a schedule of where the orthodontic team will be from day to day. They have no way of contacting them other than email, which never gets a response. If you need orthodontic work done don't waste your time or money on Ideal Dental. read more

What can I say, I don't like going to the dentist!!! Ideal Dental of Valley Ranch was wonderful and made what I thought would be a terrible experience into something not bad at all. From the front staff, who went out of their way to help with some insurance issues, to the dental staff, all were top notch. The dentist was WONDERFUL! I had work done on both sides of my mouth and he never hurt me once. His injections were painless and he was always asking how I was doing. I am not impressed easily and hold dental/medical staff to a pretty high standard. This dental office impressed me, they get an A+!! I will be back!! read more

Loved the dentist at this location. My first visit was at the Kingwood location. When I called I was set up to have my teeth cleaned and to be set up for a root canal initially at Kingwood. That was not what happened on my 3 hour visit. They ran my insurance and then did all X-rays they possibly could and then insisted that I could not get a regular cleaning that my insurance would pay for fully but needed the deep clean that was $200 over the cost that insurance would cover. I can not get a deep clean at this time due to health issues and they would not listen to me. I was tired after the 3 plus hours there and had to go to work that I was late for. I transferred to the valley Ranch location to do the root canal ($803.00 after insurance ). I went back today to get the crown put on when they tell me that the crown will not be guaranteed with warranty if I do not do the deep cleaning. I've informed the insurance company of this and they are going to flag them because as she told me their prices are higher, if they offer a warranty and are pushing a service for more money in their pocket and not respecting the client then it is not fair trade. The dentist herself was amazing. My dentist is in Tyler Texas so I was truly trying to find one here. read more

Dr. W and her staff are amazing! We just moved from out of state and our last office was pretty hard to top but the staff won all three of my boys (13, 10 and 1) and myself over! Clean, calm environment and professional demeanor from everyone from the moment we walked in. I brought my kids in for a routine check up. My nervous 10 y/o had a small cavity that should have been over in 10 minutes but his nerves got the best of him and all the while Dr. W and her staff were extremely patient while he calmed down. Loved that I was given the opportunity to approve charges before the work was started so there was no sticker shock at check out. read more
