Held for 46 minutes trying to get a refund for PRE PAID treatment which they DECLINED TO GIVE ME. Absoltulely illegal. The "membership" is for procedures I never wanted anyway. HORRIBLE experience. Services are paid in advance and it takes forever to get an appt. I paid for this back in Dec. It took until Feb 24 to get the first appt. I was told it would be easier once I started the program to get my return appt. When I finish my first service I was told appt book was not open and they would call me. For the money paid the appointments should be prompt. They don't return calls and everything is emailed not very personable. I'm curious as to when the book will open for my return visit. I have just finished my 9th treatment and couldn't be happier! The staff was friendly and professional. The office was immaculate! Though the price was up there, the reason i chose to go to Ideal Image was because of their staff of RNs, the specific laser used and their guarantee. Ideal Image may be expensive but it comes with a guarantee!!! You can shop around and sure some may be cheaper but that is because they are less visits and then they want to sell you a maintenance package.....I'm sorry, I thought i was paying for PERMANENT hair loss not a maintenance package! ideal image is a scam! do not sign any contracts with these people! they only have one nurse, the sales reps are not truthful, nor are they upfront about when you will be scheduled after signing up to pay thousands of dollars for their services. you are not told that you will be put on a waiting list for services for months indefinitely. so, basically, imagine paying thousands of dollars for a cosmetic procedure that you have not received. and do not even bother trying to get out of the contract. this company has zero integrity and will not allow cancellations even though you have not received the services. stay far, far away from ideal image. read more

Please dont go here! I wish I had read the reviews before going because my experience was the same as others. It's a racket at this branch. The staff was friendly (thanks Brooke and Stacy) so I do not want them dragged through the mud. But the friendliness is not worth the headache. I went in Greensboro and it was so professional and staff was actually trained. Here I was told a different thing on the phone every time I called. I fully paid a contract (very expensive) and had been going payment free in NC for months. I made an appointment (they had no availability for months, terrible overbooking practices). Verified I had no copay and they said no. AFTER I left my appointment they called to say oops I owe $250. Mind you, I have already finished paying off thousands. They said my contract expired in Jan- strange because I have been to NC Ideal Image since then with no issue. Other people have had this problem and it comes down to- they just have no idea what they are talking about and are inconsistent. Fortunately, there are tons of other places to get hair removal, so save your money and PLEASE go somewhere else. read more

All staff are very welcoming from the initial phone call, They were all very nice and accomodating, and Tam truly goes above and beyond. Very knowledgable and informative. There are no 'stupid' questions. All guests are greeted warmly, and not treated like a number. I did a little research on the procedures before going in and had my reservations, but my jitters were gone by the time my procedure was performed. Went in today for a consultation for hair removal. I was greeted by a friendly staff, then taken into an office where I was asked to fill out a 4 page form, which included personal information and medical history, among other things. Then I was taken into a mock-laser room where I was given a brief overview of the procedure. Next it was back to the sales office. The sales associate quoted me a price that was ~3 times greater than the average of other quotes I have received for the same procedures. After notifying her that the cost was to high for me, she attempted to sway me with financing and a breakdown showing the value of the procedures. When I again declined, she eased off of the sales-pitch, and I stood up to leave. Then she grabbed the forms I filled out earlier, and would not give them back. I asked her nicely for them, and she made a beeline behind the reception desk. I then asked her and the receptionists at least three more times nicely for my paperwork. They again refused, citing that they needed approval from management, or corporate or something. Then they began trying to photocopy my forms. I told them that I did not consent to that and that I did not want them keeping my personal and medical information, since I was not signing a contract with them. After getting the runaround for several more minutes, I calmly explained that I needed to leave, and If they would not give me my forms, I was going to have to grab them off of their desk. They called the police on me, and when the police arrived, they told them that I "chased" them around behind the desk, and they were scared of me.......a complete lie!!!!!! I went in for a consultation ended up buying a package it's fine I wanted it anyway but they are a pretty high pressure sales place. I have been pleased with the service it is a little bit painful but nothing too crazy I think the most the most uncomfortable aspect is the noise that the laser makes, it makes a puff noise and a pop. I'm not sure I would want ideals style laser on my bikini so I went to soma for that bc it is a little painful. read more

I was in the first group to have laser hair removal at ideal image in richmond. The sales girl was a trainer and yes she was pushy, but not ugly about it. I don't worry too much with pushy sales people so that is not a factor in my rating. I finished my laser hair removal with ideal image this past June (9 treatments). Overall the experience while I was being treated was great. From scheduling appointments to the treatments themselves, the staff was great. They were fun to talk to and very nice. I did get results BUT I was concerned towards the end of my treatments that I would get some regrowth. After the 8th treatment I was still seeing a few strays. I asked my provider about it and she said "we want you to be happy, we will take care of you" About 4 weeks after my 9th treatment I noticed the same regrowth. I waited an additional two weeks for any "shedding" that may occur. Once I was sure that this was regular regrowth I called and ended up speaking to a new receptionist. She told me I would be charged for the touch up. I told her that I was not ok with that because it had only been 6 weeks since my last treatment and I was "guaranteed" permanent hair loss. She put me on hold then came back to tell me they would give me a 10 the treatment. When I arrived at the appointment I didn't recognize anyone. The people I had been dealing with for the past year were not there. The treatment provider was very cold and not friendly like the one I had during my regular treatments. She made it a point to ask me if I knew how my " lifetime membership" worked. I said of course I do but I'm having regrowth immediately after my last treatment. She did not respond to that. My recommendation is to do your research. Go to several treatment centers and get plenty of quotes. Have them put in writing that they will take care of you when they don't provide the results they promise. Ideal Image is way to expensive for mediocre results and that is what I got. I would love to get more areas done but will go somewhere where the results match the price tag. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences at Ideal Image in Glen Allen, VA. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable - they somehow always remember my name each time I come in! In terms of laser hair removal, this is the cadillac - but to me, if you're going to go through laser hair removal, it's not worth the money or the treatments if it's not going to be for a lifetime. I did my homework and research before going into Ideal Image and I know that it's worth the price 100%. Staff is very professional and friendly. It's important to note not everyone's hair will work with laser hair removal, and unfortunately this is something out of everyone's control. I got a package for my arms, and after a few visits it became evident the hair was to light to be removed. The team helped me completely transfer my purchase price over to another package. I have been researching laser hair removal for a few years and chose Ideal Image because they were the only company at the time that said they guaranteed permanent hair loss. I decided that it was worth it to pay the higher amount to have real permanent hair loss. The saleslady was a trainer and was a little pushy. She wasn't rude, and I didn't mind the push because I had already made up my mind. I signed up for my underarms and bikini area. You automatically get enrolled in a lifetime club where you pay for future treatments, but at a lesser cost to you. The salesperson will go on to explain that OVER TIME your body will change and you might need future "touchups". I started my treatement with 2 nurses and they "left the company" The provider that finished my treatments was great. She was friendly and I enjoyed our conversations. There was one receptionist there from the beginning and she was always wonderful. I finished my last treatment in June and was concerned that some hair would grow back. I voiced this concern to my treatment provider and she said to not worry, they would take care of me because they want me to be happy with the service. I have had good results. Most of my treatment areas are hair free, and most of any hair that has grown back has in fact been very light (you can't even see it). The problem is that I have continued to get enough dark hair to require more treatments. I waited a few extra weeks tomake sure I didn't "shed" this growth. I called to schedule another treatment. The girl that answered the phone was new, I never saw her during the year and a half I recieved my treatments. She was pleasant. I explained that I had just had my last treatment and still had some re-growth. She put me on hold for a long time. I'm sure she was asking someone what to do in this situtation. She came back on the line and said she would schedule me, but I would have to pay the deductible. I told her that was not acceptable and I was not happy about just finishing my treatments and having new hair grow right away. I explained that I was told it would take years for hair to grow back, if at all. As I said, they sell you on permanent hair loss. She put me back on hold. When she came back she told me they would give me the tenth treatment for free. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted by the new receptionist and a yet another new treatment provider. I knew they had others, but it seems that every 6 months or so, they change their staff. The problem with that is you don't create relationships, or loyalty. This provider was not as friendly as the others had been, she seemed cold and clinical. She even made it a point to ask me if I knew me how my "club membership" worked. I told her that I knew what it was, but that my concern is it had only been a few months and I had new growth. My reccomendation is DO YOUR RESEARCH. There are many other laser hair removal options. I want to get my legs done as well and am looking into other places. I don't think I will spend that much money again to not have the results I am promised and then given a hard time about it. read more

Everyone at Ideal Image was extremely friendly and very professional. You are always greeted with a smile when you come in! The treatment sessions are quick and effective. I absolutely will come back for treatment on a new area and would recommend it to anyone who is tired of shaving! I have about 98% hair reduction under my arms. I had friends who went to other spas to get treatment and they are not satisfied with their treatments and had only about 30% hair reduction. It is expensive but they have payment plans and honestly it's affordable if you tackle one area at a time. They offer special promotions throughout the year that you can take advantage of to lower the cost of your treatments. read more

I think ideal image sales people are dishonest, especially Tam from the short pump office. I have been going for 18 months now, and I just got a $911 interest charge cause my balance was not paid in full. My paperwork that I have from Tam highlights 36 months no interest. Now I am paying 26.99 interest cause my acct is not paid off. If I had known I only had 18 months I would have paid it off to avoid this huge charge. Not happy at all with ideal image. read more

I went for a consultation with an employee of Ideal Image located on West Broad Street. I will not provide any names of employees in this review. My first impression was that the place is very clean and the employees, for the most part, appear to be very professional at what they do. I have facial hair which I have dealt with for years and was hoping the laser treatments would be the answer to finally get rid of my facial hair. Upon going through the free consultation, I filled out my medical information and was taken to a room which was set up for treatments - very clean looking. All of the employees who provide the treatments are RN's, and supposedly there is a doctor (you don't meet) heading up the facility. The RN that examined my facial hair stated that I was a good candidate for the laser treatment. Yea, the answer I was looking for. This person was not personable, but that was ok, as long as she knew what she was doing. I did have a few questions, which answers were provided for. So with that, I went back to the "sales person" that I had the consultation with, and got ready to find out the cost. Of course the sales rep told me that she had gone through the same treatment and how it worked so great for her. (She'll also tell you how much younger you look then you really are.) The cost includes 9 treatments, which was going to cover my upper lip, chin and right below my chin. Even with discounts, the cost was over $3,000. Which has to be paid up front - that's correct, not a certain amount for each treatment paid (like most places) at the time of the treatment, but everything up front. But I've been dealing with facial hair for several years, I wanted this to work. So, I set up a charge (with their company) and started paying off my $3,000+. Paying everything up front should have been a BIG red flag for me, but wanting something bad enough pushes the red flags to the back of your mind. That is what Ideal Image uses, the "want" of its clients. About a third way through my treatments, I noticed that I was not having the results that the RN treating me (this was was very nice, seemed like she cared) said that should be happening. She kept looking at my face, saying "yes, we are moving in the right direction". So I kept making appointments (what are you going to do? - already paid for, no refund - since you sign a contract). About the fourth appointment, I was starting to get frustrated, the treatments appeared to be working some on my upper lip, but not my chin area. The RN setup an "evaluation" appointment so she could decide if there was something else she could do. What was decided was to increase the laser strength. Ok, so lets try that - she was so caring and was willing to contact the "doctor" if that didn't work. One of the things they tell you to do is try not to shave your facial hair, should not have to - wrong, I still had to shave, which the RN couldn't understand why - blamed it on me. So over a weekend I stopped shaving completely, letting the thick white / gray (very few black hairs) grow out. Yes, I said "thick white / gray" hairs. At the beginning of signing the contract, the "sales rep" and "RN" will tell you that the laser will not work on white, gray or red hair. But during the first evaluation with the RN, NOBODY told me that most of my hairs were too white or gray. I was told that I was " a good candidate." I unfortunately believed (trusted) her. But now I know that the treatments would not work, which is why I wasn't getting results the treatment RN kept telling me that I should be experiencing. I stopped the treatment before getting to the ninth treatment, since it wasn't working and I didn't need to have any more pain; nor did I want to continue looking at their smiling faces when they knew it wasn't working. I know that this is very long review, but I want to warn others - don't just listen to the sales rep / RN; go home before making any decision and make sure you check out the color of all the hairs you want removed. The cost is great, both money wise and emotional wise - I felt VERY let down. And, there will be no refund!!!! You pay up front so make sure you think before you leap.
