The renovation included lowering the concrete ceilings by 6 inches in the entire unit so sheetrock and recessed lighting could be installed. New tile, hardwood floors, bedroom carpeting, and, heated patio floor were part of this extensive renovation. New wiring and plumbing along with complete kitchen and bathroom renovations were completed. This included removing and moving some walls and adding closets and renovating other closets, as well as all new doors for existing closets, all new light fixtures, vanities, and toilets. The remodel included new tile throughout both bathrooms, including new shower doors and tile. Firuze's design center has the most comprehensive and unique collection of granite, marble, and floor and wall tiles when compared to any others in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The first question we are asked when visitors enter our condo for the first time is, "Where did you find your countertops, cupboards, and floor tile." Thanks to Firuze's great collection of products our condo meets our goal of being a unique, modern and stylish, yet most importantly, a very comfortable place to call home and entertain guests. Like any comprehensive construction or remodel project, there were challenges and problems to solve, yet thanks to Firuze's general manager, Yasin Kazanski, who assumed this position about midway through our project, he ensured that all issues resulting from a problematic contractor were rectified by replacing the original contractor with one who paid meticulous attention to detail, and who completed the project to our satisfaction. They are real flooring experts who are knowledgeable, professional and provide high quality service. You are not dealing with a company that hires mediocre subcontractors. They are the best of the best in Northern Virginia. I found Annandale Floors after I had a horrible experience with another company that had refinished my floors in April 2023. Vance explained to me what my options were and invited me to pick out stain colors I liked. I loved that he is Bona certified and had the expertise to use higher quality Bona products, not the cheaper Minwax brand the other company had used on my floors. He prepared 10 sample boards for me - allowing me to see what different stain colors looked like ahead of the project. The other company had asked me to pick stain colors off the website, put down 5 sample colors on the floor and gave me 24 hours to make a decision. FYI, picking a stain color is the hardest part of this process and Vance's patience with me was priceless. I texted him constantly with questions and he was very responsive. I used my sample boards to test out different colors in different parts of my home at different times of the day. Once I was ready to proceed, I was comfortable with the 6 sample colors I had already evaluated for over a month. Jose proceeded to tape up all my kitchen cabinets, window blinds and even light fixtures. They were careful to cover up surfaces prior to sanding. I immediately noticed how different it was from my prior experience when the other company had only put up plastic in half of the my kitchen and nothing on the windows and light fixtures. Plus the other company sanded with bedroom doors opened leaving me with weeks of deep cleaning and dusting all surfaces (i.e bedsheets, blankets, dressers, doors, blinds, photo frames, shelves, walls etc.) in the entire house. So frustrating. Not with Annandale Floors. They use a dustless system that leaves a lot less dust after the job. I was also impressed with how well Annandale Floors had sanded my home. The other company had left lots of gaps and red stain that still remained in the lines/grooves. I believe the equipment Vance used was far more superior. I had a dark reddish floor and I had wanted to move away from outdated colors - red, yellow, orange. The first company presented cheap Minwax options which left a deep yellow tint from the oil stain. Vance used the Bona Cocoa stain I chose that not only looked flawless but it was even and professionally applied with a beautiful finish. Plus Bona didn't leave that nasty smell of chemicals that we had to live with for 30 days. The entire job took 8 days and we moved back in with no issues. We could also move furniture back in within days instead of 6 weeks with the oil based Minwax. Take it from someone who paid twice to refinish 2,000 square feet of floors and stairs - it's worth every penny to do it right the first time. If you are looking for a top notch flooring company - this is it. Call Vance. He's the best in the business and Annandale Floors will exceed your expectations. And tell him Addi sent you. No explanation for why no one reached out to us after Warren left or why we were sold stair runners and LVP if they weren't compatible (which isn't true). Finally had to go to corporate to get someone to take this seriously. Now all of a sudden we *can* have stair runners but someone has to come measure, order them, then schedule a separate installation. No apology, no explanation for what happened or who dropped the ball. I would never work with this company again and we are still trying to unravel what happened with our installation. No accountability, no apology, just Mike offering lame excuses about how he, the director of operations, has no idea what's going on.

A couple of years after the home was built, we had lux come out to stretch and fix this issue at our OWN cost, which was significant. And the carpet buckled badly again shortly after. I have tried calling to talk to someone. I can only reach Jackie at the main number. She is very nice but is unable to help. Each time she assures me that she is sending a message to her superior Claudia and Claudia's superior, Brian Wilson, requesting for them to cal me back. And NO ONE has ever called me back. Horrible product installation, even worse customer service. Although there is a one year warranty, no one expects major issues with such a significant purchase after such a short time. Lux has a HUGE selection, and they provided expert guidance in explaining the differences among the types of flooring. We were unsure of which stain color we wanted on the floors. Lux came in and stained large sections of the wood in six different stains so we could more easily choose the color. In particular, our sales contact (Heather) was outstanding to work with. Not only is she a lovely person, she was highly responsive and quick to get back to us with answers to our questions. After the project was completed, we decided we wanted (additional) carpet runners. Heather worked diligently to get the carpet cut and bound to our specifications (long story but we wanted something a little out of the ordinary). In addition, some binding on one of the carpet runners came loose a year or so later (turned out to be our fault - perhaps we're a little overzealous with vacuuming). Heather & Brenda arranged for the runner to be picked up, repaired, and returned within a week. All during the time of Covid, when nothing is easy or fast to accomplish! I highly recommend Lux for any type of flooring needs.

When we first used them, they did a shoddy job and had to call and ask them to come back again to fix some trim and molding. They simply glued trim in between our dining room and kitchen and almost immediately it lifted off. Since then, we've had to nail and fix it several times ourselves. I've lived in homes with floating floors before and never had had the issues that we've had with these. The only reason we went with this company is because the previous owner used them to install the kitchen flooring and wanted to match it. (Which they denied that they installed the kitchen floor when I called recently to ask about all the gaps showing up. I have all the historic emails to prove otherwise.)
