I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I am extremely upset by the way an employee at this coffee shop treated and discriminated against my father. My dad is an older Hispanic man who works as an Uber Eats driver. Last Monday, he received a batched order to pick up at this location. When he arrived, he approached the male barista at the register (short male with tattoos) and showed him the customer names and order details on his phone. My father did not read the names out loud because they were difficult for him to pronounce, so he respectfully showed the information instead. The barista repeatedly told my dad that the two orders on the counter were not his. My dad calmly showed his phone again and asked if the barista could please confirm, since those were the only orders on the counter. At that point, the barista raised his voice and yelled at my father, demanding that he read the names out loud and stating, "Those are not yours."My dad then attempted to read and pronounce the names but again, wasn't able to. The male barista once again yelled at my dad and told him to read the names out loud. Due to the situation escalating, a female barista came out from the kitchen and kindly assisted my dad. She immediately confirmed that the two orders on the counter were, in fact, for my father's customers. The male barista responded by giving her a bitter look and walking away without apologizing. As someone who works in customer service especially in a diverse city like Los Angeles employees should show patience, respect, and compassion toward individuals who may have language barriers. They're very sweet and were able to accommodate our four drinks order right before they closed, but their lattes are not the best. I tried my friends' lattes and they were quite tasteless and mostly just milk, and we were pretty disappointed because we really needed a caffeine boost. read more

Inefficient (yet kind) staff. Small and cramped place. Had ordered an iced matcha with oat milk. They first made it hot, and then the second time they used whole milk. They were nice about it though. They also ran out of the salmon bagels, so our group ordered everything bagels and paid. However, they then told us they ran out of those and asked if plain were okay (since that was all that was in stock). It was around 11:30, so it was disappointing to learn they've run out of so many things before noon. The bagel was not worth the price. The matcha latte was okay but nothing special. The staff messed up my order and accidentally made me a mushroom coffee latte, but they fixed my order and just gave me the mushroom coffee latte on the house since they were going to throw it away. I also got the avocado bagel sandwich. It was okay, but the avocado kept falling out. It would've been better to mash the avocado and spread it on the bagel. I ordered the RAF which was quite delicious! If I'm not mistaken, this drink only comes hot. It was very creamy and actually reminded me of an horchata latte from Tierra Mia. Just had to cancel the order and leave completely upset at the fact that as we were ordering coffee my 10 year old niece accidentally bumped in to a shelve that was NOT even placed safely since it's just laying over 2 wooden sticks and is literally placed right next to the cash register. Well instead of worrying if the child was ok, with an attitude she implied that she broke it instead of asking first if she was ok!!!! While my niece and I were picking up the items the rude cashier approaches me and my niece and snatched the 2 bags of coffee from our hands and the wooden board that had fallen, with an ATTITUDE and takes the items to the back including the items we had already placed back on the shelve. Had a terrible service experience here. I had walked into the store and sat down with my mom fully prepared for a sit down coffee experience. I have just had surgery and I have chrons and I asked the woman who worked at as the staff if I could use the bathroom and she said: it's for customers only. I said I am a customer I just really need to use the bathroom it's an emergency and then I will sit down and pay. And she refused and did not let me use the restroom until after I paid. When I told her I just had surgery her response was: okay. This is such a cute coffee spot, especially with their Halloween decor. Parking: I walked here, so unfortunately I don't have much visibility on parking. It looks like there is paid street parking though. Food: It didn't seem to have substantial food options, but there were pastry options in the case when I stopped by. I was in the area for work, heading to another coffee shop but noticed this new spot. Walked in, no line or crowd, clean, airy and full of natural light. The Barista was very pleasant and shared with me that the location has been open for about a month. I ordered the Iced Cafe Mocha, perfect cup, being it was a hot day. Very good, not to sweet, balanced with a kick. There are pastries on the counter in front. Beverages and coffee beans by the bag to purchase. I visited on the morning of the 17th. The coffee was great, but I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about how my order was handled. There were two employees working, but for some reason, one of them seemed reluctant to take my order. No one acknowledged me, and I stood at the counter for about five minutes. It was only after two or three people had lined up behind me that they finally started taking orders, including mine. I decided to try this coffee place because we found parking nearby when we were going to a convention. For those who want to go here, there are parking structure/street parking around but I am not sure if they validate. The service was nice and fast. I got the matcha latte. It was refreshing though I would have preferred it to be sweeter. If you are a fan of the Starbuck's matcha latte, I would suggest you to add more sweetener because this matcha latte was very natural.
