Atlanta Dog Wizard - There's truly nothing better than an off leash reliable dog enjoying the beach

We can now take Moose off leash comfortably knowing she will come when called, sit and stay even in busy environments. I feel like we are happier humans and she is a happier dog thanks to Sam's help. The training style used was also based on rewarding Moose with play rather than food or negative reinforcement, which I really appreciate and didn't know much about before. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Highly recommend Dog Wizard and Sam!

Probably my highest review ever for a service I haven't used yet. hear me out…read more I just rescued a Rat Terrier puppy called Raffi from Texas, who showed signs of abuse and trauma upon arrival. I've parented/known many rescues in the past and never seen anything like the fear she exhibited. fully freaked out, I shot a message to Atlanta Dog Wizard with an SOS to help. Kat quickly got in touch and we had about a 30-min call, which provided me with INVALUABLE insight into my urgent situation. That information she gave me--keep in mind, I had paid no money for her advice or training to this point--gave me some practices I could use, right away, to make Raffi feel more comfortable. I still might officially use Atlanta Dog Wizard in the future, if Kat is any indication how the company does things. She has a passion for rescues and turning around challenging situations and making dogs (and humans) shine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I never do reviews, but I feel like this one is deserved…read more Our dog had a medical emergency while my husband and I were both out of town--in different states, no less. Thankfully, he was staying at Puppy Haven. The staff noticed right away that something wasn't right. They called me immediately, stayed calm, explained what they were seeing, and reassured me that they were taking action. They quickly transported him to a local urgent care vet they knew and trusted (who was also amazing). What really blew me away was what happened next. An employee stayed with him at the vet to hear the diagnosis, learned that he needed to be transferred to an emergency hospital for surgery, and then personally took him there as well. Since then, they've checked in multiple times to see how he's doing. It was honestly a pretty awful situation, but Puppy Haven made it so much better. Their attentiveness, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for one of their dogs is something I'll never forget. We are incredibly grateful and thankful to have a place where we can leave our pups and truly not have to worry. If you're looking for a daycare or boarding facility that genuinely cares about your dogs, Puppy Haven is it.

We send our dog to daycare to play, today they called to let me know, yet again, that they were putting him in "an apartment" to have some down time. When I inquired why, they said he was knocking over water buckets, he is a lab, and he just wanted to keep playing. Since I was trying again after they called the last time, I only signed him up for a few hours and either my husband or I was watching him on the camera the whole time he was inside, you con't see when they are outside. The lady at the front desk did say that he was creating extra work for the staff, I guess that was the water part. Our dog also goes to another daycare and there are no problems there. I assume because he has more room to run and they have more play yards. He won't be going back here again.

We took our puppy to Atlanta Dog Trainer for the group obedience beginner training classes…read more There were 5 weeks of training classes (4 with the dog, the first with just the handlers). The primary instruction was getting your dog's attention, the commands - sit, down, off, leave it, drop it and loose leash walking. Overall I was pleased with the overall instruction and experience. They did a good job of making sure the dogs didn't invade another dog's space. Homework was sent out each week to work on in sessions with the dog and this helped prepare for the next week's session. Would recommend.

We signed up for the two week board and train as a last effort with minimal expectation. All I can say is WOW!!! Tracy has been exceptional from start to finish and the follow up after he was home was icing on the cake! She followed up daily to give us a report with photos and videos and continued to check in for weeks! We have the sweetest dog and our family could not be happier with our decision to put our pup into doggie school here!! The grounds are sprawling and beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the value far exceeded my expectations. We paid $995 per week, so about 2K total. I looked at some other programs which were about 2,800 with kinda crappy looking properties and very pushy sales people. We are forever grateful to ADT and Tracy! Thank you for our "new" dog!

At the end of a walk, I felt drained and have sore shoulders, it was not much fun. Since we RV and travel a lot, we wanted to be able to take the dog along without worry. We did a lot of research online and choose Daisy's Canine Academy. We opted for the two-week emersion program. We provided a list of commands and traits we were hoping for: 1) RVing, come, stay, fetch, heel, drop, sit, get, etc., 2) Socialized around people, other dogs, cars etc. and be calm and under control, 3) Go to Kennel, Basket on command. This was a lot to expect for just a two-week program. Daisy her trainer delivered in spades. The dog came back transformed; she did not do everything 100 percent, but honestly the most important thing was she trained the trainer, yes me I was able to continue working with the dog to fine tune her training, which is still a work in progress but fun for me as well as the dog. She does most what we outlined above and even more, can't wait for our first RV trip in the New Year. Daisy stays in touch and has had frequent follow-up visits. I would highly recommend Daisy's Canine Academy!!!

I saw a bad review from someone else years ago and it triggered me to post this. I was actually a bit mortified by the post as it was the most unprofessional review and so far from the truth. Actually Violet still goes to US Canine for boarding every time we go out of town and I won't take her anywhere else. Violet actually went to another training facility (one I will not name) and she came out worse than when she went in. Violet is a pit bull and as most people are aware pit bulls get a really bad wrap. They just need a little proper training and some TLC (as with any animal) and that's exactly what US Canine did. She actually did have to go through the intense two week training for extreme behavioral issues (trained by Angie) and she came back a completely different dog! I love Violet so much and if it wasn't for US Canine we would have had to give her up. She has become such an important part of my family and I wouldn't have done anything differently. In fact, my next dog will be going there as well and I live 20 miles away! Thank you US Canine (and thanks for letting me review you so I can post a pic of my doggie )

We tried 3 different in-home trainers over a year and saw little to no difference. At one point one of these people even told us our dog would need to be on anxiety medication the rest of his life. Then, one of the agencies suggested we try US Canine before surrendering our pup. Our dog spent 3 weeks at US Canine and came home the loving, respectful, and sweet dog we knew he could be (no medication necessary!). It has now been 8 months and I am so thankful to US Canine for giving us a second chance with our dog! Everyone at US Canine cares about your dog and your family and they make a concerted effort to help you understand the changes you need to make for your dog to be successful. They are always available for questions and concerns so that your success can continue longterm. I now have confidence with my dog and know exactly what to do to redirect him from minor issues and continue his learning. US Canine is THE BEST!
