My daughter in law, granddaughter and myself have been here twice for manicures. Both times we have been very pleased with the results. Usually at the 3 week point my nails would chip or pull away, but never here. The place is clean and relaxing. They are very accommodating and offer a beverage. I cannot tell you have incredibly happy I am with the services I get here at Idol Nail Spa. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I feel stress melt away while I'm enjoying my monthly gel manicure and gel pedicure. The owner is very welcoming and kind. Chloe is my nail technician of choice. Chloe pays attention to detail, she's gentle and very patient. I don't feel rushed. I feel like I'm treated with respect and kindness from the time I walk through the door until I leave. I am genuinely surprised people are not lining up for this place. I've been here three times now and am very impressed with the service and quality. My nails look beautiful and the staff is super sweet. They are very low staffed so you do need to make an appointment but overall I don't think you will be disappointed with the choice. I've been coming here for about 4 months now. I treat myself to one pedi a month. It's my self care time. This month is especially awesome. It's my birthday. I'm deeply disappointed today. I LOVE the service at Idol Nail Spa in Northshore Town Center! Kim and her husband are the only nail technicians there and they don't say yes to everyone that walks in wanting a last minute appointment if they don't have time. Unlike most other nail salons I have experienced in West Knoxville that take every walk-in at the expense of the scheduled clients' time, they don't overbook themselves. I was a little skeptical to go here considering the previous reviews but Idol is close to where I work so I swung in when I got off work....and man am I so glad I did! My nails look fantastic! I got a gel manicure in the color "pink linen". The color is even, my nails are nice and smooth, and there's no streaks! Best of all, I wasn't cut! I feel like every time I go to a nail salon, they make at least ONE cuticle bleed. Not here! They were so nice and gentle with my nails! WILL be back! read more

First of all, I'm a dude. So this review is from dude view. Meaning, the manicure/pedicure lingo will probably get lost in translation. That being said, the wife and I are now regular clients of Idol Nail Spa. I can't really say a lot about the manicures because homey don't play that game. However, my wife gets them and always seems very pleased. She is a professional stylist for what that's worth. OK, on to the pedicures. I have an ingrown toenail problem. If I find the right person, it can be managed with a simple pedicure. The right people are at Idol. This place is REALLY nice. The people are great. They are genuinely nice and professional. The atmosphere is very relaxing. No blaring music or TV. TV is on mute (what a concept) and there is very relaxing background music. The place is super, super, super clean. I don't know how they keep it so clean. The pedicure chairs (or whatever they are called) are super nice and super comfortable. I'm here to tell you, when they massage my feet and my calves, my eyeballs roll to the back of my head. Woooooooo dogies! And the glass of wine is a bonus. In short, this is a fantastic place staffed by courteous professional people. Well worth the trip. Give em a try. read more

Worst $50 I have ever spent and the worst pedicure I have ever recieved. I really wish I had taken the reviews from other's to heart; my experience was just as bad as most of their's. Nails were not properly or thoroughly groomed- there is still dry skin and dry cuticles around every toenail; the calluse remover was not allowed to sit long enough to do its job; the bottom of my foot was cut when he used the calluse remover tool, which he did not clean and then attempted to use a foot file on the cut that he dropped on the floor; massage was awful and consisted of nothing more than floppy hands moving back and forth, offering no benefits- I could have done a better job just rubbing my own feet. It was actually difficult to pull my pant leg down because the lotion hadn't even been rubbed in all the way- like putting on clothes straight out of the shower. That's how bad the massage was; my toes look like my 5 year old painted them; I found it humorous that the amount of time each pedicure SHOULD last is marked on the service menu, and the nail techs make a big to do over you seeing them set a timer, although they don't actually show you the time. Now, this time includes: the water filling in the tub, the tech gathering what I figured would be all of his supplies (it wasn't). By the time I actualy started counting, he stopped my pedicure 9 times to get everything from DRY towels to his cell phone. All in all, my 50 min pericue was finished in about 30 minutes, and I guess their timers don't have alarms that ring when the time is up. This salon just happened to be convenient for me today. I never choose convenience over quality. Why I did do was choose to give them a chance. Big mistake. If you're looking for a nail salon in the Knoxville area, I highly recommend using my normal place: Moda Nails off of Parkside drive. I've never walked out of there feeling less than amazing about the services I recieved, and I've definitely never left feeling ripped off like I did today. read more

I have had a pedicure here before and had a great experience. However, I went 2 weeks ago to try the powder manicure that I have heard can last up to 4 weeks compared to 2 weeks with gel. I went with a friend, and we expected to have a nice relaxing nail day, but we were separated and very rushed. Nothing was done to my nails prior to putting on the powder like you would receive in a regular manicure and the powder did not coat my entire nail. My friend had the same experience. 2 weeks later and I have had several nails chip off, and my nails look like I'm on week 5 of needing a fill in. I will probably return for a pedicure since I have had an enjoyable experience, but I will not be paying another $50 for a manicure that lasted less than 2 weeks. read more

This is the worst pedicure I have ever had. Total time was 20 minutes from start to finish cuticle was not cut properly and there was no removal of calluses on ball of foot. I would not recommend coming here to anyone read more

This is my favorite place to get my nails done by far! They are reasonably priced and the staff is super friendly. Their pedicure is one of the best ones I've had - I get really dry heels and they make my feet so soft by the end. They give you something to drink and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I also really like supporting it here bc it seems like a family run business, which is definitely worth supporting. read more
