Worse French manicure of my life. I have gotten a French nail with chrome multiple times at other nail salons and never had an issue. My skin is raw and cut in multiple places. All my nails look different and she claimed it was bc that's how my nails were... i have white nail polish randomly on my thumb nail she didn't clean and didn't fully cover my nails with top coat so the chrome didn't fully stick to two of my nails. Can clearly see my natural nail lines under the French. Woman saw i was visibly upset and said it looks just like picture and again my nails fault. I always have a great experience at Premier Nails on Northshore in Knoxville! All of the techs are friendly and very experienced. The atmosphere is pleasant, and they accept appointments or Walk-Ins. I personally get the dip for my fingernails - BOS4 is my favorite color! Several of my family members also have their nails done at Premier and love them just as much! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I wish I paid attention to the reviews before coming here. Not only are they unsanitary, but they're also rude too. First clue should have been when the basin was already filled with water/solution by the time we sat down in the pedi chairs - without a protective disposable basin wrap like most other places. Then the nail techs went in the back to grab their supplies - some of them were obviously used (files, scrubbers, graters...). We asked for no grater in hopes of protecting our feet against possible infection. Looking back, this is when we should have walked out. As nail "tech" Ivy was cleaning up my cuticles and hangnails, she cut my big toe and it started bleeding. I said "ouch" and pointed to it as she was excessively talking in Asian to the other techs around her. She used some sort of liquid on a small piece of paper towel to stop the bleeding. Aside from "treating" my injury, she failed to even apologize or empathize to/with me. She just continued on as my fear spiked. She rushed thru my pedi and got done in half the time as everyone else and just walked away. We noticed all the other patrons were offered drinks - to include their youngest tech (underage?) serving wine to a customer! We tried to call over a few employees while my partner was getting finished up, just to get some bottled water, and they ignored us. Finally my partner interrupted her pedi to ask her tech to get us some water. I ended up only tipping her directly for at least doing a better job for my partner's birthday. While we waited for our nails to dry, we watched a guy "clean" one of the basins next to us. All he did was spray some chemical in the basin and rinsed it down. No scrubbing, no deep cleaning, no detail to make sure it was sanitary for the next patron. With my big toe beginning to throb in pain I feared the worst. As Ivy checked us out I was surprised no discount was offered for my injury. As she noticed I was not including a tip, she cancelled the credit card transaction and said "oh, hers is $5 more for French". Whatever. Just get me out of here. As the day and night progressed, my toe is getting more and more painful. I put some triple antibiotic ointment on it and tried to rest it. Now I'm woke up in the wee morning hours, in pain and barely able to walk, determined to write this review in hopes that future patrons heed my warning and go to another nail salon. Called ahead for walk in availability, they said yes can take me right away. Walked in, sat in pedicure chair right away but waited with feet in water for 20 minutes. Finally started only to notice technician went from one client to me without refreshing her tools. Tried to immediately start without acquiring unused/disinfected tools. I asked her to please use only clean tools on me, she could not understand me so they proceed to have me announce it to the whole salon (although I tried to be discreet). She claimed they were clean even though I watched her move straight to me without swapping them out. I was adamant that I wanted clean tools or I'd leave. She proceeded to grabbing "clean" tools. She continues on with my pedicure only to cut my toe! Very very sad considering I don't even know if these tools were truly disinfected. I should have left immediately. When she poked me, I did not know at the time that it had actually punctured the skin. They made me feel very uncomfortable the whole time (even having a Karen next to me who was clearly a regular say to me "maybe she just forgot!") Well, you're sitting nice with sterile tools but thank you for your input. I will NEVER go back to this place. I will definitely be putting in a complaint to the health department. read more

I would not recommend this establishment- I made an appointment over the weekend with a lady name Ivy; she also did my pedi. My sister and I walked in 15 minutes prior to our appointment; I told Ivy that we had an appointment (at 3:30pm), after signing in. 5 minutes later, another lady walks in, with an appointment at 3:30, also. Ivy tells her to sit down, as there's a chair awaiting her. First off, I was should've walked out right then -- 5 minutes later, my sister and I are being seated. Here's where it goes down hill very quickly: I paid for my callous to be removed; the moment Ivy started scrubbing my feet, she rudely implied that I haven't had my feet done in a very long time. Uneasy, I swiftly uttered back that I was just here less than 3 weeks ago, and paid for your most expensive pedicure... maybe I got a subpar pedi by colleague. 3 minutes later, Ivy mentioned again, "you waited a long time to get your feet done" At this point, I should've really just walked out and left.... Moreover - my sister asked the lady who was giving her a pedi, if she could have a refill. Ivy intruded into their conversation and said, "noooooo. Only one glass. No refills" Mind you, three weeks ago, my sister and I both had one refill. And the time before that, I had a refill. Either of those times did I ever deal with Ivy. I've always felt, "if you cannot afford to tip, you cannot afford to have someone wait on you or get services done" with that being said, I did not tip Ivy! I would highly recommend driving down .5 miles into the Publix plaza and getting your services done there -- they are much more professional and have better customer service. I came here today with 5 other girls to get our nails and toes done for a wedding tomorrow. I just got a pedicure and it was extremely rushed. It is Easter weekend, so I knew it was going to be busy and that is why I booked appointments a week ahead of time. There were at least 10 walk-ins during the 2 hours we were there, so all of the workers were so rushed. I got a $27 regular pedicure that only involved cutting my nails, a quick buff, a quick scrub on the bottom of my feet with a callus remover, and slapping lotion on my legs. It MAYBE took him 10 minutes to complete. The polish job is horrendous. I could have done better at home for sure. Will not be back here read more

After finishing up my massage with Tony at Massage Envy, I decided to stop by Premier Nails for a gel mani and pedi. Overall, great service! I've never been to a nail salon with more men in nice dress shirts massaging/scrubbing my feet. Phuong did a great job with my pedi + Callus removal and gel opi mani ($60). The color came out beautiful and I look like I'm ready for yoga bearing feet. Their menu says they offer wine and daiquiris but I opted for water. I give it a solid 4 stars. I would definitely bump it to 5 stars if it had better ventilation when you first walk in to not smell the nail polish. Premier Nails is definitely convenient for my pampering me day! read more

If I could give mower than 1 star I would, I had gone to this nail salon for years and recently tried to go back Friday 7/2/21 was the last straw, I won't be going back. I had to file my nails myself when I got home because they were so crooked and I asked before they even started doing them for them to not be that way. This is a small Asian owned business that is conveniently located next to Massage Envy, and across the street from the Northshore Kroger. I am always greeted when I walk in, which sets the tone for my visit. Whether you are a true Southerner or not - we all like friendly people! Choosing a color is always a difficult decision for me because there are so many colors to choose from. They are always happy to help, and even when I challenge them with a color that I would like (and can't find) they have always been able to find it. I always have Michael do my dip nails because he does a wonderful job and I am happy every time with how they look. The caveat is, whenever you are that good, you are always busy.....sooooo....make sure to make an appointment with him ahead of time! Don't forget the pedicure.....it is so relaxing, and I always feel so refreshed afterwards. I broke my leg and they were all so happy to help me. Michael made room for my wheelchair at his table and then helped me transfer to the chair when it was time for my pedicure. The girl gave my good leg the usual treatment, and then carefully & gently cared for my right foot trimming, shaping and polishing my toes! I have been back several times in my wheelchair, and they have treated me amazing each time. I never feel compelled to waste my time on reviews, but this was the worst experience I've had in a nail salon after getting my nails done 60+ times. Over the past 3 months or so, I've had my acrylics filled by different Viet-owned nail salons in other areas. I know the steps that normal nail techs do when doing refills. When I walk in, I distinctly ask for a refill. One of the women tells another "Refill", I choose the color and sit down. After the woman shaves the color off of my nails, she immediately takes a clipper without any warning and starts CUTTING the BOTTOM of my acrylics into uneven pieces. It hurts, and I've never had anyone do that when applying a refill. I tell her to stop multiple times and ask her what she's doing. She just looks at me with annoyance and continues to unevenly clip the bottom, not the top, of my acrylics right off my nail bed like she was planning on taking them off entirely. I ask her again to stop with panic in my voice and she replies, "New set". I say, "I don't want a new set. I asked for a refill". She never apologizes or even offers to give me a new set based on what she did. Instead, she continues working on my nails as though she hadn't just obscurely cut away the bottom of my acrylics and ruined them as a result. I don't even believe that's the proper way to take off acrylics. Another walks up and says something to her while pointing at one of my nails. Without warning, again, the "tech" cuts off my acrylic completely and says that she's going to replace it. I freak out because this is the second time they're trying to get me to get a new acrylic, even if it's just for one nail, and the other one makes up some BS for it. "Oh, water will get in this one and ruin it". That nail was no different from all of the other ones. If they're going to remove it, they should feel the same about the others. I ask if I'm going to have to pay for that one with a bit of hostility in my tone, and the woman hesitates before saying "no, still $40". She definitely wanted to make me pay a $5-$10 fee until I pointed it out directly. I've had salons where they charged me that much when I had broken one of my acrylics before, but that was never because a tech decided to rip it off. I'd just broken it outside the salon. The woman paints them, and she's not especially careful but that's not really an issue if nail techs wipe the sides and bottoms of the skin down with polish remover before putting them into the UV. I don't expect people to be perfect, but they should at least do the minimum to remove the imperfections if they happen. I've been to plenty of nail salons for the same service. If they accidentally paint nail polish on my fingers, they'll remove it. It doesn't take a lot of time or effort. But she doesn't do that, of course, and my fingers look messy. Rather than paying right away, I ask if they can give me a nail polish remover so I can try to scrub the paint off my skin. The "tech" has already moved onto another girl, and they tell me to wait. I sit there for about 10 minutes before I get annoyed enough to stand up and tell them directly, "Hey, can you just give me a nail polish remover so I can take the polish off my skin". The one who wasn't working on me stands up, rolls her eyes, and asks me to show my nails. I say that there's paint on my SKIN on all of my fingers. She says, "It's just one nail" and that's when I began to lose my temper. I flip all of my fingers to show her the red paint and tell her, "No, it's on ALL of my fingers. Here, here, here". I can't believe how she tries to gaslight me when the evidence is literally on my fingers. I don't care if language is a barrier, either. You shouldn't be obstinate in telling a customer that they're wrong if you don't even really know what they're talking about. Then she says, "You had bad nails" loudly. I am literally just talking about the paint on my skin. What do my nails have to do with the inability of my nail "tech" to not paint my skin and not remove it before putting it in the UV? She rolls her eyes again and tells me to sit down. I go over there thinking that she's just going to swab at my fingers with a nail polish remover before she grabs my fingers. She quickly cuts off the top of two of my newly done nails. I ask her, "Why did you cut my nails?" and she tells me she's going to do a new set for me with a smirk. At this point, the entire salon is looking at us and even one of her co-workers says something to her that makes her snap back at him. "I didn't want a new set. WHY did you cut my nails?". She doesn't have an answer. I feel like I'm going crazy and just decide to pay and never come back. I pay only because I don't need anyone accusing me of trying to steal a cheap manicure. She lowers the price by $10 because they're obviously ruined, and that's it. Hope it was worth losing a customer who had about 5 refill prints on her nails and has paid $100 with tip for refills before. Absolutely a waste. read more

I personally have never had a bad experience in all the years I've used their services. I get my brows, nails, and hair done there. At times my work schedule doesn't allow for me to be able to schedule an appointment so I walk in and even doing so I've never had to wait too long and that's on a busy day. I don't usually write negative reviews, but after the bad service I received I felt it necessary. I went to this salon for a pedicure...it was my first time, and my last. I paid for an upgrade but the pedi I received was below the most basic. It was extremely rushed (I think I was in and out in about 20 minutes). She did clip my nails but that was about all. She pretended to use cuticle remover on one foot but completely left it off of the other one, and then spent about a minute "removing" cuticles. She barely scrubbed my feet, put some lotion on my legs, and then came the polish. I have never had anyone put on polish as fast as she did, and she only used one coat. I paid more than I usually do for a pedicure and what I received was not anywhere close to being worth it. I will not be back. read more

FIVE people came in after us and they were all being worked on while nobody did my daughter's nails. The mom and daughter that came about 15 min into our wait time got seated next to each other, bottled waters (we were not offered any) AND got worked on before us and were out way before we were. The woman doing my nails didn't say anything to me and didn't even sit down to do my nails. Once I went to wash my hands she took off and started working on my daughter's nails. (The first gal took her polish off and left to do a pedicure -that lady was the 3rd person to come in after us). There is a huge hair in my daughter's fill in. I am a loyal customer to this salon. I always come in to get my nails done. Today, I came in with the request of getting my acrylics removed and then just a gel polish. Unfortunately, the nail tech did not properly remove them. Instead, he ripped them off with his own nail which caused me a lot of pain. Next, my finger began to bleed from him forcefully removing them so I asked him if I could wash my hands but he told me not yet. When I was finally able to wash my hands he told me not to use soap. Not only did he do all of this, but was also wiping my blood with his finger. That is not sanitary at all. So now my finger is infected from where I could not properly care for my cut. read more

I usually absolutely love my acrylic nails when I come here, but today my nails look awful. They're bulbous and quite unrealistic. The technician repeatedly bumped my nails against his own hand and the cloth as he painted them and grew aggravated with me because he needed to fix them. At one point the man hurt me and shushed me, but that's nothing new. Previously I have bled profusely when the technician split my actual nail in half and never even received an apology. I'm very dissatisfied with this particular technician, but the salon in general is of a higher caliber than any other in Knoxville... The quality of your nails is really a gamble every time you come. read more
