We walked across the street from our cabin. Took about 2 minutes. You order and pay at the counter. They call your name when it is ready. We each ordered a pizza. Mine was 8", and BF had a 12". They are very generous with the toppings. They have large glasses and refill your sodas. Music played in the background and tv's played silent sports. My wife and I stopped in during our annual Thanksgiving sojourn. This year, friends for Fullerton also stopped in joining us. My wife and I ordered a medium Taquiz Supreme to split while our friends enjoyed a personal gluten free knotty pine and medium carnivore. I also enjoyed a couple of adult beverages. Of course, you get the greeted message "we make everything fresh here at Surfer Boy Pizza, except our pineapple, which comes from a can." This is the great debate, pineapples on pizzas. As a brave Yelper, I tried the Haleakala Hawaiian pizza. It comes with mozzarella, Canadian bacon, ham, pineapple, cashews, and ginger. What?? Pineapples, cashews, and ginger on the pizza. This is the cutest little pizza shop in good ol' Idyllwild. We were camping and were craving some dominoes LOL. Not sure if that even exists around that neck of the woods but heck, we just type in PIZZA and this place pops up. Naturally, we try it! Great that we did because it was so good! Legit good pizza. We came here the night before our big hike to San Jacinto. We needed to carb up. We ordered ahead and it was going to take 45 minutes. We got there and the line was out the door. They were allowing people to dine in. The line itself took like 30 minutes, so call ahead, but you still have to wait in line to pay. We got a large with half supreme and the other half custom- pepperoni, salami, and peppercinis. We also got some wings- they were nice and small, I like it better than those massive steroids wings at most other places. The pizza was good! They make good pizzas. During a recent stay in Idyllwild we had the chance to try Idyllwild Pizza. It is a laid back, order at the counter and bring it back to your table when they call you, kind of place. Help yourself to the water that's in a huge jug on the counter if you aren't into a different beverage and we, more importantly, LOVED the pizza! Flavor was delicious and the crust was a little thinner which is how we enjoy it the most! We would suggest giving it a try if you like pizza! read more

Ranch is not the solution, a basic oil & vinegar is not the solution. Invest in a delicious Greek dressing. My next issue was the olives. Now don't get me wrong I understand completely that olives are a standard and staple part of a Greek salad however too much is too much. After eating the salad and sustaining as many olives as I could, I removed the remaining into this container that used to have the salad dressing in it. It got to a point where the Greek salad was nothing but olives and could' have realistically been called a Olive salad. Great food, service is horrible so deducting one star. My husband and I came here for dinner on a foggy Wednesday night. We lined up with our mask, and the clerk at the register was overwhelmed. She was also answering phone orders, and getting drinks, as well as taking in person orders too. We were second in line and waited about ten minutes. When we got to the front of the line, the clerk didn't greet us or say anything to acknowledge our presence. But we ordered anyway. She didn't ask us about crust styles or anything since you can order traditional or thin crust. We ordered a Greek salad and she asked us which dressing we want. It's a Greek salad, there's a specific dressing for that. It's like ordering a Caesar salad and asking what dressing I want. I said "the normal dressing that comes with a Greek salad" and she gave us Ranch??!! It was so weird. I also ordered a tea and she told me to wait and she'll grab it for me. She then proceeded to take the order for the next guy in line, give someone their phone in order, and then she made my tea. Even though I saw her make my tea, she never actually gave it to me. She even made eye contact with me but never actually gave me my tea even though she knew I was waiting for it. I got frustrated so I sat down and my husband went up to grab it for me. When I got my tea, the clerk only poured 1/3 of the cup with hot water, it was so weird. I didn't see anyone wipe down the tables either even though they allowed indoor seating.
