Negative experience with the scheduling and office staff. I made an appointment over the phone and…read morewas given a time of 3pm. I received a text notification the day before the appointment that stated the date, building, doctor, and a time of 3:30, which was 30min later than my appointment was originally scheduled. I thought, ok, it was pushed back a bit. No problem. I showed up 3:30 as indicated in the text and was informed by the front desk staff that I was supposed to fill out paperwork and that the doctor would have to see me right then, therefore I couldn't have the appointment. This person told me that they had asked me to come at 3pm to fill out paperwork because that's what she tells everybody, and that she had probably been the one to schedule the original appointment. I have no recollection of this requirement during the call, but as such it's basically just he said she said. All the while she was talking to me as though I was some lazy teenager who had just decided to saunter in late because "like, whatever it's cool bro". Then why the hell is Kaiser sending me texts that say my appt time is 3:30 and not that "You will be late if you show up by 3:30" which apparently is the case? I was told by another person at that desk that the 3:30 appointment was a separate appointment for the doctor who would see me after an appointment with the nurse. Nobody informed me that a second appointment was being made or that the visit would consist of two separate back-to-back appointments. As such, there was no reason for me to believe that the text message I got was not an update of my original appointment. So in other words, Kaiser made a second appointment without my knowing, and updated me about it, essentially tricking me into showing up late, where I was given attitude by their desk staff about it. The staff person who informed me onsite about the second appointment was somewhat apologetic, but the med assistant/nurse who allegedly made the appointment was acting really irritated with me, and I could hear her just out of sight venting and complaining about their schedule getting pushed back to another male staff member who was consoling her and telling her repeatedly that nothing would happen to her because of it. Great, I'm sorry your job is so irritating having to deal with people like me showing up right on time in response to an update for an extra appointment that was scheduled without my knowledge. Words of advice for the organization: When you agree to send electronic notifications to a patient, try sending appointment times that actually coincide with when you're supposed to be there. It's a medical office, not an airport.

Dr. Bui operated on both of my feet so great that only the day after surgery I had slight pain and that was it! As of the second day, I was able to walk around without any pain or discomfort. For my first procedure he gave me various painkillers, anti inflammatory, ... Not only I didn't find the need to take them, for the second procedure I asked him not to prescribe me any medications as I wouldn't need any. To me, these were magical procedures. If I had not experienced this on my own, I wouldn't believe anyone's advice! I feel lucky and grateful for being referred to Dr. Bui by my nephew. Dr. Bui is also my sister's specialist as well yet referred by my nephew. Now, we have an outstanding family doctor. Appreciate it Dr. Bui!

My young son has Down syndrome, is nonverbal, and experiences severe anxiety with medical procedures. Despite requesting a private room to help reduce his distress, we were required to remain in the main laboratory area for his blood draw. The procedure became increasingly traumatic as he cried, struggled, and became overwhelmed. After the blood draw, he removed his bandage due to sensory distress and began bleeding down his arm and onto the floor. While he was visibly upset and actively bleeding, assistance was not provided as quickly as it should have been. I expected greater compassion, appropriate accommodations for a child with developmental disabilities, and a more trauma-informed approach to pediatric care. Instead, the experience felt rushed, stressful, and unnecessarily traumatic for my child. I hope Kaiser reviews its procedures and staff training for working with pediatric patients and individuals with special needs.

Word of the wise - if you and your ex are in agreement to most aspect of the divorce and if you agree on the well being of your children then collaborative divorce may suffice. If you are not in agreement then stay away from Bauer Shepherd and go straight to family court. In the beginning this organization sounded very helpful and professional but as I progressed through their process it became clear that if you do not know the divorce process and are not clear in what you want as an end result then Bauer Shepherd will keep you hanging on with false hope and dragging out the process! Why you may ask? Because they are a business which needs to turn a profit to survive and if they can keep you in their process for a long time then they are making money off of you. The counselors were mediocre and could not deal with the my ex-spouse lack of commitment and progress through the divorce process. I ended up spending 2 years & $30K in this process that ended up nowhere and I had to start all over again in family court! If you are getting a divorce and you have kids - put the kids into counseling, go through family court, never put your children in the middle of your divorce issues and alway continue to love your kids. Don't use Bauer Shepherd for collaborative divorce process unless you have money to burn and you don't care how long your divorce process will take.
