Google's recommendation was to take it to the nearest store from this chain and that they could assess it, do the work and even take care of any warranty issues. Visit 1: I take the phone to the store and technician #1 assesses the device and agrees that the screen is partially shot and no, it doesn't look like there is tons of wear and tear so it should be an easy open and shut case of everything being under warranty. He then tells me that they do not have any screens in stock and that it would be approximately five days until the work can be done. He said I should get a robo email with a date and time to pick it up. Visit 2: I did get the email and I showed up at the date and time. No dice. The screen still isn't in stock yet and technician #2 plays 50 questions with me regarding if I contacted Google, am I ok if need to pay out of pocket, there is tiny nick on the top which could invalidate the warranty, etc. BS aside, it's going to be another four more days. Call 1: Per technician #2, I call the store the day it's supposed to be ready to find out that while they did get the screen in, no, they hadn't started the work yet. Thankfully I called versus just showing up when they told me to show up since they forgot to even start the job. Visit 3: The phone is finally done after they had it for twice as long as initially told to me. Yes, it was all under warranty and my out of pocket was $0 but damn, the process is slow and disorganized to take care of what technician #1 made sound like a piece of cake job. In the future, a big maybe on coming back here because at least so far, the work was done right but if I need it done right away, I'll find another option.

Funny enough, I saw another review have a very similar experience with this store. When it was brought in, they asked all of the standard questions, and then when they told me how much they would charge, they seemed pretty insistent on finding 1 tiny thing wrong with it that a man repeatedly wiped down my phone and held it about an inch from his face inspecting it so that they could charge me. When my mother went to get my phone (I was working, if you're curious) so that I could send it in to Samsung to get it repaired, upon hearing which phone was being requisitioned most of the staff hid away in the back of the store. They then asked if it had been sent in with cracked back glass (which I had brought in with 0 damages). When I got my phone back, it had tiny scratches on the glass and a scratch on the metal on the left side. Absolutely under any circumstance avoid this store.

I'm not exactly sure of the price for Android ones but pretty sure it's under $5. Always a good idea that you should ask first before handing your phone to them. The service is beyond the modern service that you would not typically receive from the average phone store. Harry is definitely what old school would refer to as the neighborhood family. Phones are us has been at least to me, apart of the dover neighborhood family for a few generations. I seen all walks of life in this store as I waited for my phone bill to be paid. From the neighborhood regulars, law officials, the local gym crowd, to your blue collard workers rushing to pay a phone bill after work, even the local dancers at the near bye entertainment bar (if you know what I mean). But when I was referring to the service is beyond the modern service that you would not typically receive from a phone store, I was referring to a time period when things was kind of pressured on me, Harry empathized with my situation and gave me a payment plan that I could not refuse and most store owners would not think about doing. You were rude and completely disregarded the services I requested. Second, I was NEVER asked if I wanted a new phone or to have my phone repaired.
