I took my ps5 to get it fixed and I even called ahead saying if they know how to fix ps5's and they said yes so when I went they charged me $180 for an inspection and they told me it was going to take 4-5 days.After 5 days I called and they said they still haven't fixed it and they even sent it to another store so they can get it fixed there and still didnt end up fixing it they took 1 whole week and when I went to go get it they told me that they cant fixed it. Staff: friendly and responsive Cost: about what I expect for a technical service and in a high cost / high wage area Service: I brought my phone in due to expanding battery to get a replacement. It had no operational issues at all, the only issue was that the screen had started to separate from the frame and they diagnosed it as a swollen battery. Phone is just shy of 2 years old, so no warranty but also plenty of life left so I opted for the battery replacement. I was told it was easy, no issues, come back in 1-2 hours. When I first picked up my phone, it worked completely fine for ~15 hours. However the next morning the screen just went dark mid-text and there was nothing I could do to get it on. I did manual power cycles etc, no response. I was pretty sure the phone was still on because it would heat & cool like it was processing. I returned and they made it clear if it was just a loose connection it would be free, but if it was another issue there'd be a charge. Turned out to just be a loose connection, no charge, and I picked it up a couple of hours later. Only this time, within 30 minutes of getting my phone back, it had frozen & rebooted 3 times. Fairly light usage - just Google Maps to navigate home during / to avoid traffic. I immediately turned back around and dropped the phone back off - was told it wasn't anything they did but they would try to diagnose it. The next day (Saturday) they never called me with an update and it was getting towards lunch so I called them, since they are closed Sunday and I didn't want to be without my phone for that long. They said they had run a stress test on it with no issue but shared nothing beyond that even when I tried asking for specifics about what the test is, how they knew it didn't reboot, etc. I picked it up, no charge. The phone worked for 5-6 hours and then had reboot issues. It stabilized and worked again for ~5-6 hours then had reboot issues. Throughout Sunday while they were closed, the phone froze and rebooted about every 30 minutes on average. I was so fed up and needed my phone to work and they were unwilling to deal with the issue. I ended up purchasing a new phone, but can't get a refund or even partial refund even though my phone worked fine before they opened it up and now is all but unusable. If this was a significant risk of the process, they should have stated that. I would have bought a new phone ($600) vs replacing the batter ($240). I am incredibly frustrated with everything about this process and won't use them again unless it's the most minor of repairs like cleaning a charging port. I won't let them open up another phone in the future that's for sure. read more

The technician improperly removed my phone from its rechargeable case damaging the connector at its base. He said opps and told me that my screen wasn't damaged but my screen protector was scratched. Absolutely slimy and atrocious customer service. On Friday, April 25th, we came in because my wife's Samsung Flip 6 screen was not working. The phone had no damage and had not been dropped; this was clearly a mechanical malfunction. The male clerk reviewed and checked the phone. Due to the specific issue, they contacted Samsung to authorize the repair under warranty, as the phone is less than a year old. We were told this would take over the weekend, so we returned home to wait. On Wednesday, April 30th, my wife connected with uBreakiFix, who confirmed that Samsung would cover the phone and advised us to bring it back in. Fast forward to today, Friday, May 2nd. I arrived at 10 am and was the first in line. The lady at the counter took the phone and began re-inspecting it in front of me. She then claimed there was damage to the phone that "was not there before." This is unequivocally false. The phone remained untouched on our table and, of course, was not even used since its screen is non-functional. While it's now my word against hers, I strongly dispute her assertion. Even if new damage somehow existed, it wouldn't negate the original, pre-existing problem. Not wanting to hold up the line, I left without a resolution. Ultimately, this has been an awful customer service experience. If the person felt they missed damage during the initial review (and I highly doubt this was the same person), they should have admitted that oversight rather than fabricating a lie. To reiterate the facts: (1) The unusable phone was reviewed, and no damage was noted. (2) Samsung agreed to cover the repair under warranty. (3) Upon returning, I was falsely accused of causing new damage to a phone I couldn't use and hadn't touched since the original assessment. At this point, my only option is to share this experience with others as a warning. Proceed with caution if you choose to go here and take thorough photos for your protection. I am willing to speak with a reasonable member of your management team if they wish to contact me. They have my phone number. I went in to have them fix a cracked iPad screen. They needed to order the part, which they said usually takes two days or so to arrive. One week later I had not heard anything so I called and was informed that according to their system the part would be arriving the next day and I would receive a call to bring in my device. It's now another week-plus later. I have not received a call and I attempted to call the shop several times and now no one is answering the phone. It'sa good thing I chose to keep my tablet until they received the part. I can't comment on the work they've done because after close to 3 weeks now, no work has been done. Sent in my Zenfone 9 because it wasn't charging due to shallow water damage (water spilled from a bottle into my bag, reaching my phone). If I remember correctly, it was initially $120 to open up the phone and clean potential corrosion. Price dropped down to $60 total, $30 billed for 2 months to become a member for their Asurion insurance. Got a call 5 hours later saying that they were able to boot up my phone and charge it. They told me they needed my phone password to run further diagnostics. Got a call the next day telling me that my phone was good to go. Picked it up and there were no immediate signs of damage/issues. Checked my 'Screen Time" in Settings for the day they ran diagnostics using my password and no apps seemed to be used other than Camera and Settings. read more

Came in here today to inquire about this ghost touch issue I've been having with my iPhone X. I didn't get a name, but the guy that came out to help was super friendly and informative. He was swamped with work, but never rushed me as I was asking a barrage of questions. He ended up telling me that the issue most likely is related to the motherboard which would cost more than the phone to fix and takes a lot of time and effort to do so. In the case that it's a screen issue, it would cost me around $200 for a non-guaranteed fix. Super friendly dude, very genuine and helpful in his responses. Didn't try to sell me on BS like some shops in the East Side would. I'd gladly come back here for all my technical needs in the future --- let's just hope I don't have to though . I needed the battery for my Pixel 4a replaced as I had a very poor battery life after 3 years. I called this location to get a battery, they said that they placed an order. I called a couple times that week to check on the status, was told that the battery was on its way. Then the last time I called was told that they had no record the battery was ordered, that I would need to come in to place the order. Annoying, but OK. The battery was delivered, I dropped off my phone mid-day and picked it up in the evening. I paid, the phone was handed to me, no information regarding the repair or the status of my phone. After getting my phone home and inspecting it further, it became clear that the adhesive gasket for the screen was sticking out of the seam, and the screen itself was protruding about half a millimeter from the body of the phone (significant for phones this thin),enough that I could see thru it when looking for the side, I could pull it off with my fingernail if I tried. I brought the phone back the next day, explaining the issue. The employee acknowledged the issue and took the phone back to correct it. After a day of leaving the device at the repair shop and not hearing back, I showed up to check on the repair. The phone was returned to me with the adhesive no longer visible, but the screen was still proud of the phone body, enough to see the edge of the glass when viewed from the side. I was told this was the best they could do, and to not get my phone wet because it was no longer water resistant. They offered to perform a non-OEM gluing of the phone, which I rejected. The state of the repair and the risks were never communicated or agreed upon. If I had known my phone could have been returned in its current state I would not have paid for the repair service, I would have saved my money to put towards a new phone instead. read more

Amazing experience throughout. My husband's S10+ screen was completely shattered. We went to their San Jose location, we had called and checked ahead if they will be able to do the repair, and they confirmed. Upon arrival, they said they dont have screen for blue color phone, which was a bummer given that we wanted to have minimum contact during a pandemic. We then reached out to the Santa Clara location and they immediately confirmed availability. When we arrived, the store had a policy of only 2 people inside at once, which was great! The employee greeted us, saw the phone and generated a receipt. He estimated that repair will be done in 2 hours. After exactly 2 hours, we got a call mentioning that the phone is ready for pick up. Meanwhile, I was able to track the repair status online as well. There was clear communication through email, text and phone calls, which is amazing. When we went to pick up, the checkout process was smooth as well. The final amount was same as the estimate. If we had sent our phone to Samsung for repair, it would have taken days, and cost us almost the same. Here we had the fixed phone in our hands within few hours, which was great! They have a monopoly on Samsung smartphone repairs so luring you to a store 50 minutes from your home and then not being able to do the work is completely acceptable for this company. Unfortunately, if you purchase the asurion Samsung phone coverage you are stuck with this company. Be ready for a long drawn out fight with asurion if you plan on doing any business with this company. Been trying to get my screen repaired for over 2 weeks and this company together with a sure-on has cost me more than $200 out of pocket for lost work and transportation to and from this store and others, only to learn they cannot do the work. read more

I received a screen replacement for my iPhone 13 and since receiving my phone back, the screen has extreme hypersensitivity to any movement and starts pressing, swiping, and typing without me even touching it. The price difference between UBIF and Apple is about a $70 difference - for anyone looking to replace their screen, it may be worth it to just take your devices to Apple. I was charging my Samsung A52 5G in my work truck, as I always do. It had only been charging for 20 minutes. I got out to make a delivery (5 minutes). When I came back to the van, my phone was making a sound I had never heard it make before. It was a warning that said, the phone had detected moisture and was shutting down apps. The moisture it was detecting was the rubber of the charging cable that was melting. Apparently the cord had shorted out and was melting into the charging port. I tried to pull the cord out of the phone, but it separated from connector, which was stuck in the port of the phone. By the time I got home the connector was like welded into the port. It took my son and I about an hour of pulling with the pliers to get the connector out, and when it came out, it didn't come alone. Pins from the port came with it. The next day, I took the phone to Geek Squad. The Geek told me that, they had been instructed by Samsung to return any and all spare parts for the A52 5G phones to them, and Not to repair any of these phones. He suggested that I try U break, I fix. I took the phone to the store in Santa Clara at Scott and El Camino. When I showed my phone to the guy at the counter, he gave it the once over, looked it up and down, looked into the port and said; Nope. Sorry, cant do anything for you. The problem goes all the way down to the motherboard. This phone is basically useless, Sorry. And handed it back to me. When I told my son what had happened, he asked if he could try fixing it. I said, sure, why not! He found the Charging Port board and a new back plate on Amazon. Total price for both parts, with required tools, plus 2-day shipping, for under $35.00. When the parts arrived, it took him less than an hour and a half to put my phone back together. I'm thinking about starting a company called, U break it, My Son Can Fix It. He can pick-up all the customers, that U break, turns away. Save your self some time. Find another Repair shop, or a Teenager. read more

The experience was absolutely ridiculous. I gave in my LG Velvet phone for a screen glass repair (front and back), at the store in Santa Clara, CA. First lapse was that I was told the parts will come within a week, but it ended up being over two weeks, and that too no body informed me, I had to call myself to find the parts have arrived and I can finally drop my phone for repair. Second issue, the very day I got my phone back from a cracked screen repair, the phone stopped being able to make any calls. I took the phone back, and the store told me they cannot do anything!!! The new problem arrived IMMIDIATELY AFTER THE OLD REPAIR, and the store refused to take any responsibility. I return and ask them to fix it, they shrug and insist it must somehow be the SIM card making me go to AT&T to get another, which obviously wasn't the problem. Absolutely horrible customer service! Do not recommend under any circumstances. Would give zero stars if possible. I had a Samsung phone (less than 3 months old) under warranty and was advised by Samsung to visit this store for a repair. My first visit had the guy in front giving a quote of ~$500 for an in-warranty repair, which does not make any sense as all warranty repairs should be free of charge according to Samsung. He did not take a look at the phone physically per Samsung guidelines. Due to the quote and confusion, I called Samsung to verify that the phone was under warranty and to suggest next steps. Samsung confirmed that the phone was under warranty and was confused themselves as to why this store refused to repair the phone for free. Samsung gave me a reference number to give to the store as part of documentation and advised me to call ahead to give the store the reference number. I called the store and was transferred over to a lady (I assume a manager based on her VERY rude tone and delivery) who said that the store didn't need a reference number and that the phone should have been taken for a repair. I let her know that her employee did not take the phone nor reviewed it physically per Samsung guidelines, so the phone was never taken by the store for necessary repair. After a moment of pause, she admitted that her employee was new but tried to accuse me of confusing him. Assuming that she trained him properly, he would have known to physically review the phone for any damage that would have voided the warranty and proceeded from there, and saved everyone's time. However, trying to blame customers for her employee's mistake is incredibly egregious and further underscores the fact that (and other reviews on here highlight the same terrible customer service that everyone experienced!) uBreakiFix does not value their customers. Not only that, this (manager?) lady's rudeness and lack of proper training to new employees also emphasize this store management's inability to demonstrate fundamental practices in even the basics of running a customer-interfacing business, which is incredibly unprofessional and reflects very poorly on the uBreakiFix by Asurion brand and being associated with being Samsung's Authorized Brand. In short, don't come to this store for your repairs unless you want to be yelled at / chewed out / gaslit by a rude lady that blames her store's poor training on customers. I will definitely reach out to Samsung and Asurion of this feedback as this would be a great opportunity for this store's management to receive proper training in the basics of customer service and brand guidelines. read more

Next time I break my phone I'll just be patient and wait instead of bringing in my phone to this guys. So I cracked my phone and decided to use my insurance through Verizon. I paid $30 yay. I had a choice between someone coming to my house or walking in to a store and this is the store my insurance has chosen for their repair work. The guy in the front is new and should probably not be left alone. He has no idea what to do and how to check in phones. So now another guy comes out maybe he's the owner or supervisor who knows so he then walk the new guy on how to do the check ins of the phone which then took longer than it should. I came in for a cracked screen. Now they tell me they need my passcode which this guys expect me to recite in front of everyone in the store. Yeah no not gonna happen. Them asking for my password and expecting me to say it is beyond me. They said they needed it for diagnostics, for a cracked screen. Anyways I got out of there at around 4:18 my estimated pickup was 6:18 which was 2 hours. They were probably 10 minutes away from hitting their 3 hour mark before I got my phone. Oh and yeah when I got my phone back my battery was 10% great job guys. And then the screen protector was so crappy I dont even know why they thought it was a good idea to have it. Next time I will be patient and wait for the technicians to come to my house instead. Never again will I use this guys. You either have to remove all your saved passwords and fingerprints or give them your passwords. They did fix the screen but this hassle was not worth my time at all. I took a laptop in with a broken screen. The local guy was straight forward and professional. He gave a estimate of 1.5 weeks.... OK. I was elated when I got a text notification at 6 days that it was done. I drove 45 minutes to pick it up. When I arrived he said no, the replacement part had not yet arrived and the work was not done. Then 45 minutes back. Maybe I should charge Asurion for the gas and time. So Asurion appears to randomly generate notifications that are clearly false. I would STRONGLY recommend that you not trust any notifications that you receive ! read more

Repair took nearly 3 weeks. Price was about double what Apple would have charged for being out of warranty. I like supporting local businesses and this location has served me well on a prior occasion with a Samsung that was under warranty (so cost me nothing as they are an official Samsung repair center.) But for out of warranty coverage, I'll probably go to Apple next time. read more
