Okay so I want to start this review off by saying.. HOLY COW! This was the most fun I've had in a while. Tommy Turbo was the most fun instructor ever! The morale of our group was amazing, he managed to keep us all engaged with one another so that we all felt comfortable. I have to say, the moment I got out into that wind, I wasn't sure if I could do it.. Tommy gave me a boost of confidence by saying "don't worry, I got you" I trusted him and because of that I was able to fully go out on a whim and launch into the air!! He's so funny and really just has a great personality! He's definitely meant to be around people and guide them with activities like this. You have to be strong to be able to handle people's emotions lol and he sure enough handled mine while I was semi freaking out I also wanted to shout out Jeremy! The moment I walked over to him with a few questions, he was so attentive and kind. He has such a welcoming and friendly demeanor. It truly was very appreciated! They were very good with kids and adults. I would definitely return. My son did say it was harder than he imagined. One of the unique adventurous experience spots in Bergen county. The indoor skydiving encompasses 1 min each, zero gravity flying with instructor, for two runs, with wind passing around ~100 mph, making you float in the air. The process starts with buying #of flights online. We signed our waiver form online beforehand and arrived 20 mins prior to our scheduled time. We were taken temperature at the entrance, then sent straight to the main area where the flights take place. We were given instructions to put our suit right around our scheduled start time. We watched a short do and don'ts video to get prepared for the flight. Then we were lined for our actual flight. We got to do two runs of 1 min each. The instructor is with you throughout the flight, and also takes you 20 ft in the air if you buy the high flight, an add-on on top of regular flight ($19.99 each). When you are inside the wind tunnel, it takes few seconds to learn the positioning of your arms and legs. At the end of your flight iFly provides you a certificate for indoor skydiving session. Pics and videos are available on their website for purchase. The staff and instructors are really friendly and constantly helping everyone thought out the experience. Overall I felt it was a great 1.5 hours spent doing something totally new. But personally I didn't find the indoor skydiving as thrilling as I had imagined it to be. read more

The instructors basically made the whole experience. I had previously gone to the Orlando location while on vacation, but wanted to try one close to home. Making a reservation was quick and easy. Although pricey it was a great experience my kids won't forget. The instructors were really nice, funny, enthusiastic & explained everything really well to my 5 & 10 year old. "You don't need a parachute to skydive. You need a parachute to skydive more than once." Lo and behold... iFly came into existence and put that chestnut on its ear, huh? My kids became teens (I'm still trying to accept that, by the way) and we needed a party that was unique and memorable and we decided to give iFly a try. (And they delivered!) Do I have a laundry list of bellyaches? I do*. But here's the thing... all the kids (young and mighty old!) that partook, as well as the family members that watched from outside the tube had the biggest smiles on our collective faces every time the instructor took someone up for their joint flight - to me that's the metric to use/gauge/rate. There's only one tube - so parties/people kind of mingle all together (which I dug) and I was surprised that when they finally unlocked our party room no one from the staff came to help either set up the room or to assist with the post-flying portion (the norm at the various bounce-house and trampoline joints littered around the state) and I don't even think anyone ever even came to tell us when to wrap it up. Staff: friendly, upbeat, engaging, super positive with the kids. (And the instructor's "solo show" after taking each flyer up was pretty damn spectacular.) Not sure which pizzeria supplied the pies but we tried the 3 options offered (plain, pepperoni and sausage) and while the cured meats weren't winning any awards, the plain pizza was solid. If you know the area you know that Rt. 4 (and Rt. 17) on a Saturday afternoon can be brutal so you might want to give yourself a few extra minutes to get there on time. (iFly is really strict with time!) Sure sign the party was a hit: as everyone was filing out of the party room to go home a handful of parents stopped by the front desk to purchase future gifts/flight packages - so you know they had a blast. ---- *Bellyaches and issues: "Exclusive Plus" package only included 3 pizzas and not enough drinks. I only became aware of this the day before the party when I called them again (because they never returned my calls/voicemails from earlier in the week). Thankfully I was able to order a few more pizzas and bring a cooler loaded with enough drinks for everyone. I explained that we might have 13 fliers and the party is set at 12. Was there anything we can do and the lady repeatedly said 'no'. But then the Mrs. called right back and we were able to add another person (for another $160-ish). Odd. Do you really need to put out a 'Tip Jar' when the party is over $1,300 and it only amounts to two one-minute flights per person? read more

The employees were very nice and knowledgeable. I didn't like the Nicole and dime routine. I paid to fly now it's 20$ a person to fly higher. You can fly for 1 minute . It is the fastest minute ever.and then it's 8 dollars for photos . I paid around 250$ for four minutes. The helmets they give you to wear smelled like funky feet/ corn chips. It was a nice experience I'd consider spending 250$ elsewhere. read more

My BF took me here as a surprise for our anniversary and it was definitely a nice (and interesting) surprise. We were booked for 7:30 pm on a Saturday for two flights, which includes a high flight. This means that on the second flight, your instructor will take you up to 14 feet. Don't worry, an instructor is with you at all times for both flights, and they show you exactly what you need to do before the flights. They provide the suits, helmets, and goggles. You just need to make sure you're not wearing any loose items that can come off (i.e. jewelry, watches, flip flops, etc.) Since our time slot was at 7:30, we thought we would be in and out by 8. However, we didn't finish until past 9. It was a lot of waiting around since we had to wait for other groups ahead of us to finish. Each group has about 12 people, and each flight lasts 30 seconds. We waited until 8:30 until it was finally our group's turn. That being said, just make sure you're not in a hurry to go anywhere afterwards since you'll be stuck there for a while. I don't know if I would come back. It was more of a one-time experience for me, but I definitely recommend everyone to try this at least once in their life. Tip - you can't bring anything into the vessel, meaning no phones, meaning no photos (unless you have someone with you who isn't flying - they can take all the photos they want from the outside). But you can purchase a digital copy for $4. read more

I had an amazing experience here with my boyfriend and totally recommend trying it! Let me walk you through it. Book beforehand online to get a time slot (they have limited spots to enhance social distancing). Check in once you get there and have a seat until your group has assembled. Afterwards they gear you up, are SO nice about helping you find the right size, and then send you in to watch a video before you're in the tunnel! All of the staff wears masks, they're strict about social distancing and sanitizing, which made me feel really safe. Once in the tunnel everyone in your group takes a turn trying to balance in the air. The instructor is in there with you the entire time and makes you feel safe! They teach you exactly what to do in the video (although fair warning: it's so much easier said than done!) I highly HIGHLY recommend getting the high flight add on! ITS THE BEST PART! They take you all the way up in the tunnel and it's a really cool experience. It's fun for all ages for the record I was 24 and he was 25 when we went for this date. There was another similar age couple with us and also a few younger people as well. Our instructor was also really nice and funny! I forget his name now but it seemed like everyone there was kind! Highly recommend if you want to try something new! It is expensive but I think it's a cool experience to have. read more

I bought the 3 minute flight for my husband's birthday (the high fly was free because of his bday). Our instructor was Andrew and he was the bomb! He was patient and fun, and totally skilled at what he does. I would absolutely recommend this experience - it's the perfect gift for any adventure seeker. And personally I thought the two 1.5 min sets with a 30 second high fly during the second set was perfect as the viewer. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. I was booked for the 2 flight + high flight. Originally booked for 10:30AM, we arrived at 10 and asked if they can take us earlier and they did! The experience was very, very cool. You watch a short video and the instructor teaches us hand signals to look out for. Before you know it, you're in the tube flying! just think it's extremely expensive to only be in the air for 2 minutes (each flight is by 1 minute). I'm sure that's a big misconception when coming here. I originally thought I'd be in the air for a good few minutes. I would definitely come back and do this again, though. They offered a really good discount if we booked another flight for a later date right after our flight, but we don't live near the area, so unfortunately, we could not take the offer. I have mixed feelings about this experience. Check-in was fast and easy and the woman at the front desk was wonderful. I didn't catch her name, but the receipt says "OPERATOR: MIAVON". We arrived about 20 minutes early with our 2 kids (ages 6 and 9) who were flying that day so we were able to watch part a flight school session, while we were waiting for our turn. The kids put on their flight suits and helmets, watched a quick 5 minute video, and they were ready to go. My 9-year old son went first and he was nervous, but his flight was fine. My 6-year old daughter was next, and her flight was horrible. Her helmet was not fitted properly at all, and as soon as she stepped into the tunnel, it flew up into her face and covered her eyes (see pics). She could not see a thing & spent the entire minute trying to adjust her loose helmet. Luckily, the instructor Miguel didn't let go of her at all, but I wish they had fitted her helmet properly from the start. Because of that experience, she refused to do her 2nd flight, and my son opted out as well because he didn't want to do it without her. iFly did try to make it right by giving us vouchers to complete their 2nd flights and refunding my son's "high fly" experience (an extra $19.95) which he did not get to use. I'm hoping my son will be willing to try again because it could have been a very cool experience! read more

Amazing! My wife and I have been dying to try iFly for quite a while and the time had finally come. We watched a bunch of videos online and bought our tickets online. We rented a car to drive into Jersey from Queens and were on our way. When walk in to iFly you walk up to the desk and they weigh you. We realized later that this is how the operator of the tube knows how high to blast the air that keeps you up. You're then brought to a small room where you're instructor teaches you some iFly basics to be safe and ensure that you have a good time. We were in a group of a father, his daughter and her friends. Once you're done with the instructions, you're brought back out into the main room to put on your jump suits and helmets. You have to wear ear plugs since the air blowing in the tube is so loud. We got a kick out of how we looked in the suits so we took a bunch of pictures. You take turns going in the tube for 60 seconds each. For the ticket we paid for, you go in twice. So as for the experience in the tube, it does take a little getting used to. You're in there with the instructor the whole time so you're safe. The slightest body movement can make you sink or fly higher. We did a pretty good job though. Good enough that the teacher was able to bring us up higher in the tube and bring us back down. After you're finished, the instructor does a solo session and he was amazing. He was doing backflips, spinning, spiraling, all of these crazy tricks that I'm sure you can see in a YouTube video. I highly suggest doing this! read more

Went here today with my brother who's looking to get some practice maneuvering in free fall to get his skydiving certification and had tons of fun! my best advice would be to not expect to have an adrenaline rushed, INSANELY exhilarating experience (like you would on a high speed ride or something of that sort). In terms of thrilling, on a scale of one to 10 I'd give it maybe a 5 or 6. That doesn't mean it wasn't fun, though. Literally being able to fly and to experience that feeling is so awesome! It's a little pricey but definitely a cute and fun date idea or trip with the family. Everyone was very kind and our instructor (whose name I forget but she was blonde and had her hair in a braid) was so kind and helpful, her instruction was amazing. Overall a really fun experience. Also, they fly you individually with your instructor in groups. The way it works is your group will sit outside of the tunnel and the instructor will take each of you inside one by one. The tunnel is in the lobby area and anyone and everyone in the room can see you, so make sure you smile big and put on a show. read more

I heard about this indoor skydiving chain and then started seeeing these iFly signs in major cities. As I'm too scared to do real skydiving jumping off of a plane, I wanted to try this one especially it's only 1 minute for each flight so I figured I could handle it. The inside of the Paramus shop was actually a lot smaller than I had imagined and the tube was actually pretty small and narrow, too. It was in the middle of the store so everyone waiting, I mean EVERYONE, can watch the people who are flying. A lot of excited kids and multiple birthday parties seemed to be going on. The place was busy! Although, we showed up half an hour before our appointment time, we ended up waiting over an 9hour and a half since they were being delayed.. I understand there are multiple parties going on and full of kids, but almost 2 hour wait in my opinion is not acceptable... that's why we book appointments.. But our instructor made the experience a lot better after our long wait. He was fun, attentive and great. All other instuctors also seemed really fun and professional. The diving's supposed to give you similar experience feeling like you are above 12/13k feet above. Initially, I was afraid to do the high-flight which they charge another ten dollars to go up higher with the instructor's help, I changed my mind after I saw people doing it. I'm glad I got to try it out. The first 1min flight I was learning how to resist and fly. For the 2nd flight, the first 30 secs, I fly and then the rest of 30 secs, instructor lifted and helped me to do the high flight which made me feel like real skydiving. It's definitely worth trying out. I bought 2 gift cards for $70 that's worth $100 at iFly. At Paramus, first 2 flight is about $90 plus the high flight of $10 so it comes out to exactly $100 and I saved $30. Make sure to get gift cards at Costco. For revisits, the prices drop a lot more so I can see people going here regularly. read more

We took our family here for my sons birthday, and had an amazing time! One of the best ways to celebrate with boys by far. It is pretty pricey especially if you want any add ons like photos and video, so for only two minutes of flight time it's really expensive. Other then that, it was well spent because the boys said it was the best birthday ever! They've never said that in their lives so I think this was a big hit to say the least. They talked about it for days afterward and told everyone at school how they got to fly. Our instructor was James and did a phenomenal job working with our boys. They put you in groups and ours had a special needs boy along with us. We had a female instructor, she was very descriptive during the explanation process and helpful during the experience. They make sure the suit and helmet fits you well and make you feel safe.
