I absolutely love this venue! I have been here working shows as well as a fan, and the history alone makes it a fantastic venue to visit. I was most recently here for a Steven Tyler event, and while it was decked out by another company for the event, simply walking around and looking at everything, you can see the attention to detail in every single thing. The bars are beautiful, and the view of the stage is great whether on the floor, the raised sides or upstairs. There is a new event space in the back, and I love it! So I finally saw the legend, Dave Chappelle. Before I speak about the infamous Hollywood Palladium, let me first give my reaction to the overall performance. Going to a Dave Chappelle stand-up was truly a spectacle worth seeing. I didn't even seem to care if this special topped any of his others; just being in the same room was something to behold. I've been waiting for over 20 years to see this show, and not because I couldn't afford it, because these tickets had only cost me around $500(Cheap), no, it was because I had other things in life to accomplish that were more important, so this had to be placed on the back burner. I almost couldn't see myself going to this event either, and that is only because I live way out in Temecula, CA. It had taken me over two hours to get here. And just two days prior, I also attended the Katt Williams special over at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. So the venue had stated that the doors would be open at 6:00, and the show would start around 7:00. That was not the case. The doors actually opened at 8:00, and the show started at 9:00. I could only imagine if I pre-scheduled an Uber to pick me up according to those provided times, I would have been so pissed. Before entering the venue, it was stated that Dave Chappelle would not let anyone bring in any personal electronic devices without storing them first in one of those goofy-looking Yondr pouches. So we had decided to just tell security that we had to check our blood pressure every so many minutes(Cap), and they understood, and let us keep our phones out. But we were also warned not to take any photos or videos during the show, otherwise they would have to escort us out. The seats at this venue were almost equivalent to what I had felt just three days prior when I went to the Intuit Dome(Hard). Now, on the topic of seats. Why did the venue state that provided seats wouldn't be a thing for General Admission? It was stated that any General Admission ticket holders would be more on the lines of a first come first serve. But once having gotten through the security checkpoint, they for odd reasons, now provided us with physical seat tickets as shown in one of my images below(Liars). It's funny that I speak so harshly about the Palladium, because during Chappelle's set, even he acknowledged how this wasn't his favorite venue either. He had stated that there were two significant reasons why he had chosen to perform there that night, and one of them was that this was the last place he had seen Prince perform, and the other was for some personal anniversary of his. Other than those few things, he wouldn't have performed here(Yikes). And you don't have to believe me, because the special will come out on Netflix soon enough(Verbatim). So, who was in the building that night? Some may be wondering. Well, it was a weird line-up if I'm being honest. So for Dave's opening acts, first it was Donnell Rawlings, Trevor Noah(Super Strange), Black Star(Mos Def & Talib Kweli), Killer Mike(Rapper), and for his closing act, it was Lizzo(WTF) out of all people. You could tell early on that people were not feeling any of the musical acts, a bunch of mumbling over the loud beats. But once Dave had finished his set, and Lizzo was being announced, that's when everybody started to grab their personal belongings and head for the doors, while she was in the middle of playing her flute(Embarrassing). read more

People who say they love this venue are on crack. This is absolutely one of the worst places to see any performance. They oversell the shows and pack way too many people into the space. If you're general admission and standing good luck getting a view of the artist the floor feels like it's almost at the same level as the stage so short people be warned, my wife isn't very tall and literally couldn't see anything the entire time. The VIP balcony is a joke apparently they nickel and dime every aspect of it: so there's VIP balcony which is separated into a standing only area and the VIP tables. You have to stand behind the VIP tables which obviously have the best view. You basically can't see anything unless you're right up against the VIP tables section, and if you get stuck behind someone... again good luck seeing anything. Not to mention the sound in the VIP balcony area is terrible! You're constantly getting ushered around being told to clear "fire safety exits" if you're walking around trying to get any semblance of a vantage point. They probably have around 30 staff just dedicated to moving you along and telling you not to stand in certain places. Some of the staff is chill and they might let you get away with standing in certain areas for a little bit, but then everybody starts to crowd and you'll get moved out. Other staff are misinformed and will tell you that you can go to the other "platinum" balcony where you will angrily get kicked out by other staff who will tell you that "no that that's incorrect" and that you need to go back to your own balcony lol. I bought these tickets from a reseller so I really didn't know I got balcony tickets, but at the end of the day, they are completely not worth any additional up-charge if you ever have the option to get them. I ended up being relegated to the back of the massive crowd on the GA floor where the sound was at least halfway decent. Honestly I dread going to the Palladium, but they do get great acts, and sometimes it's our only choice. But it's definitely never a first choice. I will say most of the staff is great though, I understand it's not an easy job, and I appreciate their efforts to do their jobs with a smile, but overall management needs a bit of work here. Try to give a better experience to the fans, stop nickel and dime'ing prime viewpoints. read more

Loved the performance, hated the venue. This concert was very disorganized and the staff were rude and not knowledgeable at all. When we first arrived it was one staff checking VIP entry when it should have been more staff assisting. This one staff had to check the list, explain next steps and hand out merch. Our entry was starting at 5:30, for me to be 20th in line, I shouldn't have entered after 6pm. Too slow! Once in, there was so many metal detectors not being utilized because they were only letting in 3 at a time. They let you grab your tote and fill it with merch for VIP then checked the same bag.. it was counterproductive and would have made more sense to let us grab our merch after bag inspection. There had to be a more efficient way to conduct this. Once we got in, staff or vendors for merch and freebies were rude and dismissive and weren't knowledgeable about the process. Merch didn't go on sale until 7pm when GA were let in and should have been accessible to VIP as soon as they entered. Once in, I was stopped by a security guard with his hand in my face saying we weren't allowed in the floor until 7pm. I was asking for clarification and he immediately stopped talking to me and ignored me when I politely asked more questions. I walked away and sat on the side of steps. I had a woman come tell me that I couldn't sit on the floor or steps because it was a fire hazard, i understood but question why not have some seating if you're going to make us wait in the lobby for an hour. Once I got to the floor the view was amazing but hated the fact the bag checks didn't spot all the people sneaking in weed, because by the time the openers came on, the place was crowded with smoke clouds from all the weed. Security were very nice and considerate and cared about all the people passing out due to overheating over drinking. They handed out watered and had their eyes on the lookout . Exiting of course was chaotic but it may have helped to have a separate exit like they had a separate entry for VIP. All in all not sure if I'll return to this venue based on the way it was ran and organized. read more

Recently came here for a Shrek Rave and had so much fun! I really enjoyed how spacious the auditorium is, especially with all the dancing and moving around that goes on during events like these. I also appreciated that water was available, because all that dancing definitely does dehydrate you lol. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because in the balcony on the left, the row marked BB didn't have adequate space to put food in. The other rows did. If I'm not mistaken, we paid the same price they did. So our plate of food teetered dangerously on the measly space assigned to us. Wasn't happy about that. Additionally, I noticed their "tower of onion rings" was not a tower anymore, but a sprinkling of maybe 8 rings at most. We were given maybe half of what this order used to contain. Oh well. That's this economy for you. But everything else was top notch! read more

The Palladium is an icon in Hollywood. These days I struggle with standing room only venues, but with the Palladium, it just feels different. It doesn't bother me at all. Even if you are all the way against the barrier in the back, you feel close to the stage. There really is no bad spot in the entire venue. I've also had such a great time with there concert goers here. Everyone has always been so friendly and respectful, no matter what type of artist you're there to see. I will say, however, because this is a standing room only, the line outside can get long early. Especially for more popular artists. If you can manage to, get there early. And, if possible, maybe try to have someone drive you there instead of parking. There definitely are more parking options than when I was in college, but it's not cheap. And a lot of it doesn't open up until after business hours (which would keep you from getting in line too early). In all, the Palladium is one of those LA venues that needs to be on every person's checklist. It needs to be experienced at least once. The vibe is great, the sound is great, the whole experience is great. Well...standing out on the streets of Hollywood hours before the show isn't great, but you get the picture. read more

It has been years since I've been here. Reviews that are 15+ years old don't seem to love it. We had a pretty great here seeming of Monsters & Men. Get there early and you are up front at the stage for general admission. Plenty of space if you want to grab some merch or food. Our move was to snag the on site parking. Then head to a local spot for some drinks and dinner first. We got to the line when it was wrapped around the building and were still great for space. Best decision was to grab a pony wall spot down low. Gave an elevated view and place to lean on while waiting. Sound was excellent. Liked how the venue lights worked with stage setups. Overall we enjoyed it. Worth a look for another concert down the road. read more

Been here a couple times and loved my experience each time! Came here for Odd Mob, October 12, 2024 and Hippie Sabotage, May 30th, 2025. Easy process for parking, there's plenty of lots around the venue and also when arriving at the venue, you go through their parking lot for the entrance instead of their front where the big sign is. It's a little confusing but you just walk to the left where there is a gate. Then there is light security and a ticket scanning area. Walking in, get your 21+ wristband and they have a long bar area right smack in your face. They also have a bar on the right down the hall. It's a small venue so it's easy to navigate. The bathrooms are upstairs for mens! Gets a bit funky on the stairs because people are going up and down haha. The stage area is in another room and there is so much open space. They have an upstairs for assigned seating and also a rooftop patio to relax, smoke or talk with friends. Not many people know of this because it's not insanely packed so if you're reading this, your welcome lol. Otherwise no issues here for both concerts. read more

Recently came to see Artemas. For a small venue it's very organized and well staffed. The process of going through security went smoothly. The cue went quickly. Once indoors there's plenty of bars to buy refreshments and merch at. As the first floor is general admission standing room only it was kind of a mad dash to get a good spot. We were able to snag some spots right up at the barricade. The staff/security were very nice and even passed out water bottles through the night free of charge. The venue has plenty of bathrooms and all facilities were nice and clean. Really good experience. They do have a private parking lot but you need to purchase online ahead of time. read more

I've been to the Hollywood Palladium many times over the last nearly 20 years. It's an iconic venue and I've seen many excellent shows there! Overall, it's not my favorite concert venue because the stage is too low and it's very hard to see the artist - especially in this day and age when people are holding their phones above their heads. It's important to me to be able to see, and I feel like raising the stage would be a simple solution. Putting this out there for consideration! The room is wide with two balcony sections on the sides. It feels to me like the first half of the floor of an arena. I think the sound is pretty decent and clear, but I'll caveat that I always wear earplugs. When the venue is full, it feels a bit overcrowded. This also impacts the ability to see the show. Either way, the crowd is usually very excited to be there and I haven't really had issues with audience etiquette around me (besides the phones above the heads). If you are at the very front by the stage, the front of the elevated areas surrounding the GA floor, or the front of the balcony, the views range from excellent to decent. I got a spot on the elevated section directly across from the stage behind the GA floor. When JADE was on the stage, I could only see above her waist, so I felt like I missed out on the choreography. When she was standing on the platform a few steps above the main stage, I could see above her knees and it was a bit better. I think I'm an average height (about 5'4.5"), and even with a couple more inches on my shoes, I can't see anything when I'm standing on the GA floor (the very front being the exception). I usually end up hanging back on the elevated sections in the back/sides, and even then it's generally a partial view of the artist. I've accepted this about the venue, so I find have found the spots where I can see the artist (fully or somewhat) and have a great time. Entry is generally efficient. They have one main line and then a few security/bag check stations that are a little bit spread out, which seems to help with crowd control. Then they check tickets at the door. For JADE on 2/2/26, a lot of people were sent PDF tickets after the venue changed from the Wiltern to the Palladium. We were sent to the box office, which only had 2 people, to get new tickets sent to our phones or printed. I was a little annoyed at this - this is possibly something they could have started sorting while people were waiting in line. I lost my place in the queue as I was waiting for this to resolve before I could go into the venue, which makes a big difference for a GA venue like the Palladium. But it only took about 5 minutes to resolve my issue once it was my turn. I saw two merch stands - one at the entrance and one on the inside on the opposite end of the entrance. The line gets long, but moves fast. There are multiple bar areas to get drinks throughout the venue. Restrooms are clean. There are a couple of them, and the wait isn't usually too long. Exit is super easy - there is minimal room for confusion. Parking options are available in abundance, and can be pre-booked through third parties. There is also some limited street parking if you go early or get lucky! Overall, it is an iconic venue that artists are excited to play, and the audiences are excited to be there. If being able to see is important to you and you are not especially tall, I recommend going early to grab a spot in either the front (first few "rows" is generally okay I think, as long as the person in front of you isn't 7' tall) or the front of the back/sides. The front of the side balconies are usually special seated areas that cost a bit more, but can be worth it if you want an unobstructed view of the performance. read more

Drove down from the SF Bay Area to see Yungblud here in August of 2025. It was the start of the tour and I was beyond excited to see him so it was pretty much everything I wanted it to be with the exception of the challenges of general admission of course. I shoulda worn a higher heeled boot, but alas my ankle surgeries have a different opinion. Pretty cool crowd tho and an outstanding show. Good sound. Expensive drinks but that's standard. Stayed at a hotel within walking distance so we didn't have to deal with transportation and that was perfect. I'd go again for the right artist. read more

The Hollywood Palladium... I've been here so many times over the years. This is one of those venues where it still feels almost like a small club, but it's large enough to host some bigger shows. I wouldn't say the venue is perfect, but with the amount of memorable moments I've had here, I can't give it anything less a full five stars. You have the main floor near the stage which is in a pretty large room. There are stairs on both sides near the main entrances that lead up to the balconies, which are considered the private and VIP areas depending on the show. I've had friends that worked at Live Nation at some point and was the beneficiary of being able to watch shows from the second level. You don't have as good as a view, but it's really chill upstairs and don't have to worry about jockeying for position or getting bumped into constantly if that's one of your concerns. Just a really great place to see shows. I've seen concerts here that ranged from more raucous to the more intimate and serene. I've also seen a few comedy shows here as well. No more need to read on as I'm just gonna list some of my more memorable events below for posterity (and personal nostalgia) or just to give you an idea of the type of acts come here: - The Reflektors (which was secretly Arcade Fire - this was considered a small venue for them and the tickets sold out in seconds) - At The Drive In (got to catch them on the reunion tour - one of my favorite bands of my youth, haha) - LCD Soundsystem (on multiple occasions) - Nikki Glaser (fresh off her Tom Brady roast - part of the Netflix fest) - Brandi Carlile (amazing show and memorable because it was my last concert before the lockdown/ COVID pandemic) - other notable shows I really enjoyed: Cake, Bjork, etc. etc. read more

The Hollywood Palladium is good concert experience. Plenty of parking options around the venue (we paid $40). Security was efficient and moved quickly. A little disorganized on letting everyone on to the GA floor as they did not all open at the same time. One the guards opened before the others so that curtain all got to the stage first which caused the rest of us to make a fast dash to get places behind them. A little uncool. Plenty of bars (can of beer was $18). Great sound at the venue so shout out to the engineers. Kurt Vile was the opener. He had a good sound and cool vibe. Then the Pixies played. Ok, I heard that they had decided to do two different shows at each venue (but not before I got tix). We went to show one. It was a good show, but they essentially just played two entire albums and then a couple of their hits. Crowd did a couple mosh pits but not out of control. Huge thank you to the security at the front who passed out water to the folks near the front. They know that those people (including me) have been standing for hours and are hot and tired -- so thank you again. Overall good experience. But when you factor in the stellar customer service (a solid 10/10), it's easy to overlook the warmth and just enjoy the show. A solid venue for a night of music and memories! read more

Great venue for intimate concerts or events. Been here couple time and no matter where you're at, you're close to the artists for sure. From the outside looks, you wouldn't expect it to be very fine old decor (updated for sure), spacious areas, well keep, clean and well lights. They do have private parking but do turn into a security venue entrance....well organized. Probably one of my least favorite venues in LA. I think I attended a concert here over 15 years ago and now I see there was a reason why I haven't been back. Don't give me wrong. This place isn't the worst venue . It's just a combination of things that I feel make it not worth going . The audio/acoustics is not great. The ADA seating is not great. The drinks are watered down and expensive as expected. The remodel is nice but the balcony wasn't designed very well. The sound is not as good if you are on the sides in the balcony (a bit muddled). They also didn't maximize space up there. There's so much more room to create another aisle. Still love the palladium! The other annoyance is, I had a couple of prescription pills in my bag and they told me they needed to be in an actual prescription bottle --which I'm not really interested in revealing to security staff my health problems!!! They told me next time I'd have to throw the pills away. Other than that the staff inside were lovely. read more

Went to see PARTYNEXTDOOR at the Hollywood Palladium and he was amazing. The sound quality was excellent, and the energy in the room was electric. If you don't want to deal with standing in a crowd, I highly recommend reserving table seating up top it's worth it for the comfort and great view and service for food and drinks. The venue itself is nice, clean, and has that classic, cinematic feel, like the kind of place you'd see in a movie for the concert everyone's trying to get into. First time at this venue to see Thrice perform their Beggars album! It was a great show and I'm yet again grateful to have the opportunity to see them live. Manchester Orchestra also performed and although I've never heard of them before, there were a few songs I really liked. But let's talk about the venue more. - It has a distinct old school vibe with the bumpiest popcorn ceiling I've ever seen in my life. - There's about 12 bars scattered throughout the first & second floors so if there's a line at the main bar, just go to one of the smaller bars nearby. - The main ballroom was set up for standing room while the second floor balcony had seats available (for more $). - We had VIP balcony seats (12 & 13); bar height with a comfortable back. There was plenty of counter space for food and drinks and dedicated wait staff to order from. It truly felt like an elevated concert experience. - Usually, parking can be paid up front when you buy tickets for a show here. Saves the hassle of trying to find parking nearby. Fortunately, we were staying at a hotel a few blocks away so we just walked over. #smart #lazy COMING BACK? It had been a while since I visited this legendary concert hall. This time was to see Morrissey for New Year's Eve. This review is about the VIP experience and The Hollywood Palladium's security. We purchased expensive VIP tickets meaning we had reserved seating on the balcony. For those not familiar (I was not) the first row in the balcony is AA and the second one is A (this is the row we were seating). All below are general admission. Those people in the first row AA have no obstruction whatsoever to see the concert seated. However, many of them decided to view the concert standing up and blocking our view and many of those in the second row AA. I asked security if they could ask them to sit down and they refused. This is when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I did not pay hundreds of dollars to have a general admission experience. I walked over to them and asked them politely if they could sit down. To their credit, they were cool and sat for the rest of the show. Many people in my row were grateful and thanked me for my efforts. All was going well when shockingly, security came to my seat to tell me that I had no right to ask them to sit down and warned me that I could be kicked out if I did this again. I replied sarcastically that I was actually doing their job for them. Nothing came of it since those cool people in front of us were mindful and sat thought the entire show. In the future, just know that The Hollywood Palladium management has no problem collecting your money to pay for premium seating but will not enforce via their security common sense norms so all patron can enjoy the show. The fact that security came to my table and threatening to kick me out for simply asking people politely to sit down blows my mind. read more

I've been lucky to come to many shows at the Hollywood Palladium and had no problem with parking. Security is incredibly straightforward and got all of us into the venue without any delay. The staff were really friendly in answering my questions about where we could stand, and we could line up. It's a really nice venue with mostly standing room and some seats on the second floors. There is no bad area to stand in to see the stage. I didn't buy anything from the concession stands, but the people that did seem to have an easy time and a short line. read more

The person we saw was cool but the seating was stupid. Balcony/VIP area and you can't even see the damn stage. There's tables and chairs in the way, along the edge. So you're stuck behind them, unable to see. Drinks and food were beyond crazy priced, but that's to be expected. No real parking around the venue. I'm on the fence about this venue! I got tickets for the trap karaoke which was a good time but we paid $90 for seats upstairs and they were first come first served? You can order food but it's hit or miss in whether it will come- took two times before our food actually showed up.. Venue is cool, I appreciated all the security checks- made me feel safer lol.. My biggest issue is if you don't have access to seats upstairs, standing downstairs is a drag.. This is great venue with a historic old school feel. There is a large open floor for GA which is standing only and a balcony with a several tables and an additional standing area behind that. The sound is great and with the lighting, it enhances the whole experience. There staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful the whole time. They actually serve food which is pretty good and it is definitely a bonus. The drinks are good... although expensive as you would expect in that area. There is a good amount of parking at the actual venue. We were charged $45. There is an ADA line along with a small ADA seating area and the staff will make sure to give you any help you need. Last night I went to the Palladium to see Paris Hilton's Infinite Icon Experience. Let me just say that this was such a fun event and the palladium did a great job at hosting Paris's concert Walking in, I was able to access the merchandise Paris Hilton was selling for the event. I bought a shirt and the staff was very attentive and kind. There are also many bars scattered in the venue, including two near the main stage and one near the entrance. Keep in mind that the drinks will tend to be overpriced, but it's expected for a venue to rack up their prices. I believe a water bottle was $6 when my friend attempted buying and her cocktail was about $26. I will definitely say that the Palladium is a decent sized venue with a lot of standing room. There are no seats unless the event you attend allows VIP which is upstairs. I could see from the bottom that there were tables and seats for those who want to pay extra to enjoy. I couldn't tell if there were more bar areas upstairs. The staff was great with keeping the crowd moving and also keeping organization. I didn't feel overwhelmed being at this venue. Better outline your rules because this is bull shit. If I could sue yall I would. Have better guidance outlines for your trash ads venue. So the venue itself was great. Nice and spacious. But the stars of the palladium were definitely the security guys by the barricade. They made everyone feel safe, and were all about making sure the attendees were comfortable. I've been to concerts all over Texas and Las Vegas, but this one is definitely at the top read more

God, I've been coming here since the late 1980's, when I first visited my sister, who was living out here, while I was in college, and saw the first reunion of the original The Damned. It was crazier back then, and I loved the space. Over the years I saw The Sex Pistols, Bauhaus, Rancid, The Replacements, and an endless amount of bands here after moving to LA in the the early 1990's. It was always an inexpensive, fun place with great sound. The only trouble was always parking in Hollywood and the very gritty, gross nature of Hollywood. Well, over time Hollywood has gotten more disgusting. Parking is actually easier if you go on a weekday at 7 pm just as the two side lanes become parking again from no parking rush hour 4-7 pm, so there's a tip. You can park for free literally right out front, across the street, or a block away. Even on weekends, I've found spots 3-4 blocks away, rather than paying the $20 for lot still 1 block away. But let's get to all the post-pandemic problems... First they made the upstairs no longer general admission. One side was VIP and the other side became a vulgar, cheap version of paid seating to get more money. Each row (and there are 3 of them) is actually made of 2 aisles, so if you are in the back aisle, you have someone the same height in front of you blocking your view. They also have set the seats to go past the stage towards the back, and from there the sound is horrendous. That's how it was just a year and a half ago when I saw Circle Jerks and Turnstile. I also saw Amon Amarth from the VIP section up top pre-pandemic and even with VIP, you had to stand - despite there being long large, lush couches in front of the standing area. These take up the three tiers that garbage seats on the other top side take up. However, you can't sit there unless you pay another $70 per ticket (back then). It was ridiculous. Treating friends of the band like garbage. Cut to this year. I see Nothing But Thieves and am in the VIP aisle in the Obama Circle, which is the top VIP area for managers and stuff. I got a seat, but the sound still was horrible. The sound anywhere upstairs is horrible. And that is where most of the paid seats are. They did add some seats for the disabled downstairs, so get a fake cast and sit there, cause at least the sound will be better. Now in the VIP section, the couches have been replaced with bottle service tables, so be prepared to spend $300 for a $9 bottle of Jose Cuervo tequila for a decent seat. The seats on the regular man side, that still go for over $100 a piece compared to $40 standing room seats downstairs, are just folding card table chairs that hurt your butt. Very cheap money grab. They now serve lots of food from food trucks outside, brought in at outrageous prices to match the expensive drinks. But, having seen LCD Soundsystem just recently from the GA standing room space downstairs, I can say that was the worst. The sound is better than upstairs, but the place is oversold for a truly sold out show. Bodies are smashed together. You cannot find any safe space at all even all the way in the back. The crowd pours out past the main ballroom doors into the lobby to watch. It's ridiculous. Even worse is the merch table. They have one merch table in front, and for some unknown reason what used to take no time at all now takes so long, the line goes down into the ballroom and up to the second floor as soon as the place opens. So you will be online for merch until the first band is either playing or finished playing just to get a t-shirt. Open a second merch table, damnit! I don't think I can ever go here again. I hate Hollywood since Los Angeles has become a filth pile, and this place just keeps renovating in small ways to make more money and somehow provides less quality, takes more money, and now has mediocre to poor sound (especially in the pricey areas). If you can see the band somewhere else, do it somewhere else. read more

I came to Hollywood Palladium to see one of the Netflix is a Joke show. I did hesitate because I figured the Palladium will not have standard seating, but the tickets were cheap, so I decided to chance it. The parking is pretty pricey here. I didn't want to try to find other lots around, so I did opt to park in the lot across the Palladium, which was $40. Very expensive!! Aside from that, one of the benefits is that the venue is right across the street so it was easy to get there. Also, since the price was so steep, it was actually pretty easy to get in and out of the lot. As for the Palladium itself, the venue has old school charm, which I liked. It was interesting to see the venue inside. The restrooms were also pretty clean and plentiful. I never had to wait in line. The drinks were VERY pricey also. Shout out the bartender who was working there. They only sold Liquid Death for water, which was already pricey in addition to my drink. He ended up giving me some regular water. So appreciate that he saved me some money. The event required seats so they had some they had chair set up. It was super uncomfortable and the seats were pretty close and tight. The other thing I did not like was that if you are seated towards the back (which I was), it's actually hard to see the stage especially if someone taller is sitting in front of you. I actually saw a lot of people just standing in the back, which I actually did for a little bit. I am not sure if I would come back here for any events that require seating, but probably would come back for a concert here. read more

I've been here for about 3 or 4 concerts now, as someone who is into a lot of rock, emo, and metal music. The last time I was here was to see Spiritbox perform with Loathe. I like it when venues offer free water or have drinking fountains available. This venue does not provide free tap water at the bar, but it does have drinking fountains located near the bathrooms. If you want to eat beforehand, there are some restaurants nearby, such as Chipotle, Roscoe's, CAVA, and McDonald's. Security entry and bag checks are on the slower side. Since it is a larger venue, they have stricter policies, similar to stadiums. Clear bags no bigger than 12x6x12 only (unless otherwise mentioned), or small clutch purses. No wallet chains or studded belts, no personal water bottles. The overall environment is horribly crowded, which is probably the worst part of the experience every time I come here (and is the main reason why I left a 2-star review). It is a HUGE, standing room only GA pit (I only purchase GA or nosebleed seat tickets). I am not tall, I am about 5'5"-ish, and like other reviews have mentioned, if you are under 6 feet tall, it is VERY hard for you to see. The hardwood floors get dirty and nasty with all of the crushed beer cups and cans as well. Be prepared to stand for about 3-4 hours. Overall audio quality is okay-ish. I recommend high-fidelity earplugs. This venue is accessible through the Metro Purple (D) and Red (B) lines, but you have to walk 2 blocks-- from Hollywood and Vine to Sunset and Gower. Those train lines are not the safest, especially at night. The venue is also accessible via Metro bus lines 2, 210, 222, 180, and 217. It is also not too hard to be able to hail a rideshare around here, granted it's a smaller venue. Overall, this is a venue that I would come back to if there were an artist performing that I really wanted to see, but it is not a favorite location of mine to return to. read more

Cool venue! I have seen a handful of shows here throughout the years. The sound quality is decent if you're close to the stage, but can get muddy fast if you're further out. I've definitely enjoyed other spots more, but for a smaller, indoor venue this spot is pretty good! The parking situation isn't great, but if you arrive early you should be good. read more

Been here a million times. Luv it. You can feel the ghosts of old Hollywood here. Well organized, always a good view. Bands I've seen here: GnR, Sex Pistols, Slayer, Pixies, Janes, Metallica. It's the best. read more

I didn't think I was gonna like this venue, but it was great! the pit staff handed out waters left and right. also The with the curly hair at the bar inside the concert room, in the back right, was such a great bartender, really sold me on the pickle shots last night. The venue itself is very spacious. Lots of bars. The only thing was seating other than VIP doesn't really exist, you can utilize ADA seating from what I was told, but it's in order of importance/need. read more
