Lots of dogs & cats available for adoption (ONLY $30!!! AND, they come already micro-chipped & spayed/neutered.) No admission or parking fees. We've been to a lot (check my "Dog Friendly Adventures" list) and for a spur-of-the-moment decision to attend, this was a really good experience for us & our little Ruxin. Venue's great at William S. Hart Park. Grassy & shady. Accessible restrooms. Parking wasn't a problem since we came early. Found a public lot 2 blocks away. Our Ruxin is apparently tired of his current dog food so we wanted to pick up some samples to see if he'd show interest in something new. Came home with all kinds of food & treats. The various vendors were great about explaining their products & letting us know where we can buy them locally or online. We pup-sit our son's Corgis often and these samples will be shared with them. One of them has a really fussy tummy & most of the samples are organic. Several veterinary offices also had booths there if you live locally & want to meet the staff. There was a shots clinics also which had a long line. Someone told us the various shots were low-cost or possibly free. There's also pet-themed art & crafts being sold. I bought some dog toys at very reasonable prices. We seriously considered adopting another JackChi, but Ruxin was being a weenie. He wasn't being nice to the other dog at all. Additional notes: Dogs must be well-behaved and on leash. Please bring poop bags. Small dogs should be carried or in a stroller. It got crowded very quickly. Our lil' guy got his tail stepped on, so the hubby carried him for the rest of our stay. There's donation boxes situated here and there. The donations help to keep this festival free for all of us. We had a great time and will definitely want to come back next year.

I said, "They only seem to have white mice..." and the lady told me that this store actually had black colored fancy pet mice. She'd just been there the day before. So I drove over and lo and behold, they had three fancy mice - one white one with slightly long fur, and two mice that were black and white. The two black and white mice didn't look to be in tip top health though, with both appearing to be sort of hunch-backed. Even so, I asked to see one of them, and got to hold her, and decided to bring her home as a friend for my calico mouse. The staff was very compassionate about the mice and assured he she would quarantine the other black and white one (who looked significantly less well) and have their vet take a look at her. She also confirmed I was only looking for a mouse as a pet, and not for some other purpose. I had to enter my name, address, phone number and email into their system to purchase this mouse. I didn't love that part, but I guess I understand their concern when selling live pets. Overall the store was clean, the pets I saw looked to be in good health (except for these two mice, one of which I did end up buying). The staff I interacted with were all friendly and professional. I was also assured they had a 2 week period where I could return the mouse if she was truly unwell or if she didn't get along with my other mouse or something.

Hi Jeanette, Sunnie and the Peaceful Pets Family-…read more I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you did for our family today. Saying goodbye to Ace was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do, and you and Sunnie made it as peaceful and loving as it could possibly be. The way you cared for him--and for all of us--meant more than I can put into words. You took the time to talk with us and our kids. You explained everything in a way that made sense and bought calm. You made our children feel safe and supported no matter what they were feeling. That meant everything to us. You gave us space and time to say goodbye to our good boy in a way that was meaningful and kind. And the little touches... the blanket under his head, the pets and love you gave, the fur you kept and boxed for our children, the invitation for our kids to write a letter that will be with him forever, the calm and warmth you created--it didn't feel clinical, it felt like family. You gave us a moment we'll always be grateful for in the middle of so much heartbreak. Thank you for the love, compassion, and dignity you gave Ace and our whole family today. We will never forget it.

The first thing they did was greet me with kindness and hand me Kleenex. Such a small gesture, but it meant everything in that moment. They took the time to talk with us about Kaid's life, and right away they felt like family. They were incredibly kind, respectful, and compassionate, making sure Kaid was as comfortable as possible the entire time. They surrounded him with the love he deserved and gave us so much support and comfort too. They thought of everything. When his paws got muddy, they had wet wipes ready. They brought treats and even a blanket to gently rest his head. We also had our other dog there, and they didn't overlook him either. They gave him love and attention so we could focus on saying our final goodbyes. After Kaid passed, they continued to treat him with such gentleness and care. I know I'll replay those final moments in my mind over and over, but I feel at peace knowing how deeply loved and comforted he was. I am so incredibly grateful to Peaceful Pet Services for giving our boy such a loving and peaceful send-off. I truly can't recommend them enough during one of the hardest moments a pet owner can face.

I cannot say enough good things about bouquet kennels. What…read morean absolute blessing it is to have a safe space for my Luna. We rescued Luna in February. And soon came to learn a couple of things about her. 1-she was a jumper 2- she has pretty severe separation anxiety. For the first couple of months, I took her almost everywhere with me. When I couldn't take her, there were times when I had to struggle to make arrangements for her. As mentioned with the jumping and the separation anxiety, the arrangements would have to be very specific. Making sure that it was with people I could trust. Which usually meant Family because they would be the most available. Well, when there was family events, it was even harder for me to figure out what I would do with her. I knew that a very close family friend regularly uses bouquet kennels. So I spoke with her about them. She said amazing things and highly recommended. So I reached out online and let me just say they were amazing from the beginning. Incredibly receptive and Patient especially with my many questions. I was able to get Luna in for an overnight within two days of first reaching out. Of course, when I came time to drop her off, I was incredibly anxious and worried about leaving Luna. That anxiety and worry started to fade the minute I pulled up and Jessica and Kayleah came out to greet us. Within minutes, I was secure a confident in the choice to bring Luna to Bouquet kennels. I was able to go and spend an entire day out with my family and not worry once. Of course, I thought about Luna and hoped she was doing OK but I didn't have to worry at all. I knew not only was she safe and secure, but she was being loved and cared for. When I arrived the next morning to pick up Luna, I was given a wonderful report about her. And again, I must stress that I knew Luna had had a great experience. In speaking with Jessica and Kayleah I learned that bouquet kennels accepts dogs of all temperaments. I think that's wonderful. I know that all dogs have different personalities and some of them are not as easy others. And knowing that there's a place that accepts those that aren't so easy is such a relief. Every pup should have a safe place to go where they will be accepted. I cannot recommend Bouquet Kennels enough. Needless to say, I will be using them whether it's for the day, overnight, or multiple nights. It is such a gift to have a wonderful safe space for my dog. Thank you Bouquet kennels!!

To me, that level of dedication is incredibly selfless and speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. Lupe is a treasure chest of knowledge and solutions for any aquarium question I bring his way. No matter how simple or complicated the issue, he always takes the time to answer with patience, clarity, and genuine enthusiasm. He helped me set up my 20-gallon long heavily planted community tank from the ground up and even guided me through setting up a hospital tank when I needed one. His advice and expertise have been invaluable every step of the way. You can tell immediately that the aquatics department at this Petco is different. It's beautiful, meticulously maintained, and every tank is absolutely pristine, including the saltwater systems. The health and quality of the fish reflect the care and effort Lupe puts into his work every day. Thank you, Lupe, for giving me the knowledge and opportunity to allow my tanks to thrive. I am forever grateful for all of your help, guidance, and patience. Petco is lucky to have someone as knowledgeable, passionate, and caring as you.

Every time I visit this store, I end up waiting 10-15 minutes before anyone in the grooming salon even acknowledges me. 1. When the groomers are in the back bathing a dog, there is no window or visibility, so they have no idea customers are waiting. 2. One groomer actually saw me waiting and kept knocking on the wall to get someone's attention, but the others had earplugs in, so no one responded. 3. An older gentleman with a cane was waiting in front of me, clearly uncomfortable, and still no one acknowledged either of us. If PETCO cares about customer service, here are some simple solutions: * Hire a receptionist to schedule appointments and check customers in. * Install a Ring door alert so groomers can see when someone walks in. * Add an inexpensive wireless camera/monitor so staff can see the lobby at all times. * If staff take too long to acknowledge customers, offer a complimentary service as a courtesy. It's unacceptable to treat customers this way. My time is valuable, and I can't keep coming in without knowing when someone will finally check me in. When I knock on the glass door after waiting 15 minutes, the staff get upset--as if I'm the problem. This is very poor customer service, and I hope my feedback reaches someone who will actually fix it. Right now, it feels like the store is choosing to ignore the issue. I will be sharing this experience on every platform I can.
