We had the best server EVER!! I already forgot her name but she only works on Saturdays as she is a high school teacher. She went above and beyond for us. I ordered a gluten free pancake and it was delivered by a different server. As soon as it was delivered she checked on our orders. As soon as she saw my pancake she snatched it up and let me know it was not gluten free. She saved me from pain and misery later that day!! The atmosphere was fun ( a guy was walking around in a bacon suit) and very busy but we always felt taken care of. Stopped by thinking we could get a quick lunch since we were on a time crunch but we thought wrong. Our waitress, an older lady, was super nice and always checking up on us. For some reason our order was taking a lot longer than it should've and she apologized repeatedly. I ordered the sirloin Salisbury and my husband the omelet breakfast. Not sure why it took so long for our order to come out being that we were one of two tables occupied in the establishment. Not only that the gravy on the Salisbury wasn't gravy, more like pan drippings. The potatoes also had a hard crust obviously left from the pan it was scraped from. Because we were in a hurry we didn't make a fuss. It wasn't our waitresses fault for whatever was going on in the kitchen. Our waitress was so sweet, she clearly saw my disappointment in my order and kept asking if everything was okay. I have an rbf so that didn't help. LOL IHOP is usually a safe spot for us to stop in since they're usually consistent in what's produced. Just not really that day we stopped in. read more

Just on the management intervention with these negative reviews, the actual reviews from customers which are still not very current showing unacceptable service and management, I'm not coming here! Management wake up! I don't see anything that makes me want to come here. Your business photos are seven years old And nobody seems to be coming in. So as a traveler looking for someplace to grab breakfast, nothing tells me to go here and I love IHOP! I checked in, but I didn't come in after I read the reviews. Image and presentation is everything! I want to see pictures and comments from people that came here and actually ate the food and enjoyed it not your Corporate pictures. Sorry but driving away. While visiting the Winder, GA location a server had her young son there her entire shift. He was in/out of the kitchen, getting food for himself to eat. At one point he came to our table to "play" with our kids as we tried to eat. He then went to the kitchen, bringing back a can of whip topping for the kids to "share" - this is highly unacceptable and impropriate. I refuse to visit this iHop further, this is a HUGE food health concern and a child safety concern. Kitchen are full of hot, sharp, items - no kids should be in there. Contrary to other recent postings, they're still extremely understaffed and unable to provide decent food or service. Restaurant was 1/4 full and the floor manager was instructing to not seat the door. Truly a sad situation for ihop. We will never return. read more

I am not sure if they are under new management but we had a really great experience two weekends in a row. We were greeted and sat right away. Servers were friendly. Food came out fast and hot and it was sooo much better. Everyone seemed to know what they were doing and it was so much different than before. We will keep going as long as they stay the same. OK...listen up. I don't review often, but I do when it is helpful. This IHOP has had a turnaround. We arrived at 12:45pm and were immediately greeted upon entering and seated in about 3 minutes. The restaurant was clean and an employee was bussing a few tables and sweeping. It took about 5 minutes for our server (Cashmere) to stop by, but we were looking at the menu, so that was fine. The coffee was brought to us very quickly along with 2 waters that we forgot to order. We asked for a couple more minutes to look at the menu. The menu has been simplified and has way less choices which is a good thing. Less items means more consistency and a better chance that the kitchen delivers what is expected. Our server came back in a few minutes, took our order, asked a couple of appropriate questions, and headed to the kitchen. The order came out faster than any other time, and everything was correct. We were checked on a few times, and the server was pleasant. polite and helpful. The staff was friendly and seemed to be trained better than some previous employees. The health score was a 92. Give this location another try...we have zero complaints about our visit today. read more

Cold food, poor service. When a customer hands you their food back and says it's cold, you refuse it. Not answer with "I didn't cook it ". When a customer comes back at the GM's request, don't make them wait for 15-20 minutes before they get up and leave. read more

Today, which is a Saturday, my wife and I stopped by IHOP on Carl Bethlehem Road in Bethlehem for a meal in the evening during prime dinner hours. Hey folks... just look at the pictures. The first picture is the "roast turkey meal" I received. I use the term "roast turkey" loosely. The third picture is a closer view of the meat and the glob that was supposed to be cornbread stuffing. Look closely at the meat. Has anyone ever seen roast turkey like was on my plate? Does anyone see gravy or lingonberries? Didn't think so folks. The second picture is the meal as presented in IHOP advertising for a bit over ten dollars per plate. The food was cold! When we asked for gravy we were told "they were heating some up." We have had turkey TV dinners, you remember the first ones on aluminum foil type trays, that were better than was presented to us tonight. Look at the photos and think about the appearance of a heated frozen turkey meal... the warmed frozen turkey meals I've seen looked better to me than what I was presented tonight. We just wanted out of this place! After I paid the check, twenty four dollars and change after senior discount and tip, the cashier asked how I enjoyed the meal. I showed him the photo and he commented "I hope your service was at least good." In all fairness our waitress was very pleasant. The cashier didn't offer to comp the meal or call a manager, no discount for a future meal... well...just nothing. I didn't want anything except to leave. A final comment. Employees here don't seem to be working as a team to make certain customers have a good dining experience. The cook did not prepare the food well. The waitress while pleasant shouldn't have brought an incomplete meal to the table and the cashier just occupies a place on the employee roster without being personally vested in the business operation. Is there no quality control at this IHOP? Are orders not checked prior to leaving the kitchen area? Are there no managers working to make sure patrons are pleased and want to return? My advice to my friends is just don't walk in the door. read more

Sorely disappointed with this IHOP. When we got there, hardly anyone was there, but the servers were snippy with each other about where to seat us. Our server was sweet, she really was, but the wait for our food was so incredibly long, at least 30 minutes or more, and we saw others being seated, eat, and leave before we even got our food. We didn't order anything complicated either. Then, when the food finally came out, I got something I didn't order. Our server was very apologetic and sweet as can be but sometimes that just doesn't cover it. At least the Mexican Tres Leches pancakes were awesome. The food we ordered was wrong the food was loaded with grease.. and when you order crunchy hashbrown should they still be white and floppy...dripping in grease? The price was higher.. portion was very small. The Colorado omelet was lacking the meat and onions but had plenty of unordered tomatoes and grease. I barely finished before my stomach was tore up. After hearing two employees argue over who serves the table, then waiting a half an hour for our food with empty drink glasses, our food came out looking minuscule and repulsive. The pancakes were literally a quarter of the normal size, there was curly hair on the potato pancakes that looked like they had been thrown against the wall first, and the bananas on the pancakes were like 2mm thick as if there were one banana they were trying to stretch through the rest of the evening. Terrible service and a rude staff. The first time we tried this IHOP, my sister and I left after 20 minutes of being ignored after being seated. No one ever acknowledged our presence, even though the place was almost empty. Today, my husband and I decided to give them a second chance. After being seated, no server came. We waited for a while, then asked a passing waitress, and she said she would get our server. Still, no one. We asked the rude host at the door. He grunted that "he's right there" and pointed out a waiter that we had seen over the previous 20 minutes but who had totally ignored our table. At that point, we left. One time might've been just a fluke, but twice is just plain bad service. I have no idea what the food is like here because we've never been able to get any. 1/28/2019: We have dined here multiple times. This is my first written Yelp review for this iHop location. We like the location. Our servers were polite and prompt. However, multiple times the food has been delivered cold; over cooked or obvious leftovers from an earlier shift. Also learned you must request shelled eggs or you get boxed eggs mixed with pancake mix - yikes! Brought our concerns to Barry, our server, and he promptly informed management. Received a visit to our table from Mike the manager. They were overly responsive. However, the place was not packed with customers and thus no possible reason for unsatisfactory orders other than in attention to detail by the kitchen staff. Not putting their best effort in every dish indicates lack of professional pride and low appreciation for patrons. Yes, trying to make it right is the correct thing to do when it is obviously a mistake. But trying to make it right when all evidence points to inefficiency, poor professionalism and total disrespect of iHop patrons is downright inexcusable. Mike and his kitchen staff must be proactive and not reactive. This is a prime location and should be over run with patrons. Word of mouth is still the best advertisement. It will be a travesty if patrons begin avoiding this fine establishment because the present workforce continues to disrespect its customers. Exaltation: Take a round turn on your output. Do better with your initial kitchen to table presentation deliveries. We want you to succeed, however, we demand your respect through excellent food and service of food. read more

Horrible experience. Extremely poor management. Got there and took 15 minutes before even greeted and able to get on list. Front of house out of control with several pissed off customers. Told 15 minute wait. Still standout there an hour later despite several people living. Customers picking up orders to go that were wrong and incomplete. Customers sitting complaining that they had been seated over 30 minutes and drink orders not even taken. Pissed off employees being rude and slamming doors. The management here is a joke. Trust me. I called in an order for four different breakfast meals. I was told 20 minutes. I waited for over an hour then asked to speak to the manager as this is not the first time we have had this type of issue at this restaurant since they opened. We have given them a try four different times in like five years. Our food is always messed up and we always have to wait an obscene amount of time, and every time I ask to talk to the manager she gives us the same excuse, they are really busy and she's training two new cooks. We've been here twice. Both times has bad experiences. This second time was so bad it'll be our last! First it took us 25 minute wait to be seated. Okay, I can work with that. Then we spent 49 minutes waiting on our food after we ordered. So now, we've been here 1 and 14 total. Now mind you all of our food wasn't brought out at this time. 3 of the 4 meals were. The 4th meal, a burger, still wasn't ready. The waitress told us that they were waiting on the egg for the burger. 10 minutes later the burger still isn't out and I finally see the waitress again to cancel that meal. During all of this now hour of waiting once we were seated, we saw the waitress 4 times. Took our order. Delivered drinks. One refill. Drop off food. The last time that we did see her inorder to cancel the order for the burger was by chance as she tried to sneak by. She didn't even return after that moment. We asked another waitress for the manager. She came right out but was full of excuses. And then she acted like she was doing us a favour for taking the burger off of the ticket. *Side note - the store was dirty. We saw tables sitting uncleaned for the hour plus that we were there. After looking at other reviews on here, it seems to be an issue going back until March 2017. Most complaints are exactly the same! read more
