When my friend arrived and time to be seated, she guided us to our table, laid down the menus and walked away before we ever sat down, no words. We went to leave. She never acknowledged our exiting, but my friend told her goodbye, and then she raised her head. While I was waiting on my friend two managers, walked by I say managers because they had keys hanging from their belt and what looked like walkie-talkies. No eye contact no hello no welcome no nothing. Service should aleays be be on point and especially at their prices. You can get good food anywhere. I go out for the experience. Your hostess and managers killed it and not in a good way. First and last time.

I had the afternoon free after an appointment the other day so I decided to stop in for a lil brunch treat!  I got there early, just before they opened for lunch, so there was time to admire the interior as well as the beautiful desserts and pastries in the case.  I fought HARD not to get anything!  It all looked SO GOOD! *Side note: I DID get to enjoy one of their desserts at The Taste... a lovely layered delight, of which I forgot the name of, but it was wonderful! (pic included) Of course, I'm not going to get the "regular" menu item; I'm going to try something I'd not have at home.  I chose the Crab Vol-Au-Vent: a pastry shell filled with crab, king trumpet mushrooms, poached egg, and hollandaise with a brown sugar and cinnamon latte. Je me suis régalé! As an extra treat, I had a front row seat to watch a promo video being filmed AND I got to have a little chat with the lovely Sous Chef! Julio also suggested adding an order of bread to soak up the incredible sauces, and I'm so glad he did--not a drop was left on the plate. For my entrée, I chose the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly. I even skipped most of the accompanying beans to save room for dessert, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the night. The blueberry olive cake with blueberry sorbet was phenomenal and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and refreshingly free of distractions, allowing the food and conversation to take center stage. I've seen other pictures of them that were much more traditional finger food for brunch, so not sure if they changed them entirely or if this is just dinner version. Tasty, but obviously not for picking up... it would be tricky to wrap them up in that tiny piece of lettuce and I did not want to get dripped on with the sauce. So, if knife and fork lettuce wraps were a thing - this would be it! I think the bib lettuce makes it hard as it's so frail and flimsy, so if I had any suggestions, maybe it would be to try wrapping them from a head of lettuce for a bigger, more firm piece of lettuce. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake. Nice finish to a richly flavored dinner. My husband asked for an espresso and it came in a huge mug. Not sure if this is standard, or if they ran out of demitasse cups. Service was more attentive on front end, but less as they got busy and our server got more tables. I asked another server for water refill and then a manager brought us a dessert menu since our server disappeared. He showed up with the check and we had to tell him we wanted dessert. We made reservation through open table and got seated immediately. When we left, the little lobby area was packed so we definitely went at the right time. If you can, I would recommend taking the walk so you're able to see all of the other shops and restaurants and enjoy the live music that's sure to be playing. Venue and Atmosphere When you walk in you're automatically greeted by the hostess. If you are going on a weekend I absolutely would recommend having a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. We did not, so it was essentially every woman for themselves. In addition to the tables, there were some couches that were first come first served. We lucked up and a woman was leaving and gave us her table. Food and drinks Since this was our first stop we didn't want to fill up too much. We ordered the charcuterie board, which served as a good snack. I ordered their old fashioned made with Knob Creek, my wife had a cider, and our friend has one of their IPA's. Service Service was decent, considering there was a lot going on. With my friend's IPA they were changing the keg and it actually took a while for that to happen, but our server gave my friend another drink at no charge to make up for that fact, which was a nice touch. They have outside seating on the roof and also out front. We were seated out front. It was a wonderful experience. Although it's a wine bar we just had water. But noted the wine flights for a future visit. They have 6 oz pours, which is nice. The flights are interesting though. They have three wines in a flight where you receive a 2 oz pour of each wine in the flight. They tell you that they cannot mix and match wines from different flights, so you have to receive the wines that are in each flight, which is fine with me. We started with the goat cheese beignets with the honey sauce. They have a decent helping of goat cheese inside of each beignet. My wife says that it was almost too much. And I joked that there's never too much goat cheese. Lol. My wife had the chicken kabob which was very elevated. It didn't come on the skewers which was nice and it had a really flavorful sauce and roasted veggies. I had an arugula salmon salad with a citrus vinaigrette which was perfect since I didn't want anything heavy. Perfect for a date night after a concert where we enjoyed the music, met friends, and enjoyed our entire evening. My wife said that it feels like we're on vacation, and it did!
