40 min after being seated we had not even been acknowledged by any staff member, let alone had an order taken. While I understand that they are new, this is inexcusable. Plenty of staff were working, 3 staff members stood taking with a friend for quite some time. The rest of the staff seemed to really lack direction. Myself and 3 very hungry grumpy children left and went elsewhere... Where the staff did their jobs. May return at a later date, but was not impressed. When we left the tall man with the iPad didn't seem to give a crap or want to help resolve the issue. Maybe they need some managers circulating and seeing how things are going. read more

I took my mother to this location twice and both times our server Mina was amazing! So friendly, kind and approachable. Our second visit was more than three weeks after our first time there and Mina didn't just remember us, she remembered what we ordered!! Besides Mina, the food we got tasted lovely. It was fresh, served shortly after we ordered and the portions were great for the price. Both times we went on a Saturday before noon. We never waited more than 10 mins to be seated both times. My much anticipated trip to IHOP: The Greeter was friendly & welcoming - she's the reason they earned even ONE star. It was Downhill from there. Sticky table. Dirty windows. Slow service; the greeter saw us & called the waiter back to our table to get our order. Food took 26 mins to arrive & was cold and salty. I asked for well done, crispy hash browns. they arrived 11 mins after all our other dishes but were even more pale than the potatoes on my guest's plate. Omelette had way too much pancake batter in it. Contrary to what the menu says, pancake batter mixed into the egg does not make an omelette lighter & fluffier ~ it makes it rubbery & more dense. Keep in mind this is The International House of Pancakes: the pancakes tasted of raw flour in the middle. the syrup was good. The prices are too high for the quality of food & service. the only good think I can say is that the menu is filled with beautiful pictures! Worst case of false advertising EVER! i don't understand. There weren't very many guests here, and there seems to be enough staff and servers, yet everything took so long from the time we entered the restaurant. The floor was filthy, it could've been understandable because it's winter and we have snow and road salt, but there's paper and garbage everywhere, so that wasn't the case. Took a while before someone noticed us to get us a table, an it took so long for our very simple orders to arrive. we got our drinks after 20 mins, and food 30 minutes after ordering. I love the IHOP in Niagara so I could not, wait to eat it here in the brampton location. the first 3 time I went there it was great, great sausage great hash browns ECT, then i went last week oct 15 2023, staff was making her own menu up for me, did not like that too, i repeated i want sausage to her 3 time then she said ok, then she brought me i think it was turkey or chicken sausages and i told her I want pork and she told me it was pork i said this white meat is not pork and they do not taste like your regular pork sausages and i know the different between chicken and pork, then the eggs were over easy but not cooked overall the breakfast was so disgusting, i said to my husband never coming here again, if you are a person that goes often then you will notice the terrible changes they have made in the meat and hash browns and other menu's food so just be couscous read more

my opening day/late morning's review pros: the service was great, friendly and helpful. we sat with a table of 4 and a baby: we got seated within 20 minutes which was great especially on a rainy day cons: when the food came 3 out of 4 plates came but with cold pancakes. other tables around us said their food was cold as well. my table's last plate finally came about out 10 minutes later while everyone was already finished their plates. overall it's 100% understandable, the stress of a new restaurant on opening day. i enjoyed it although i'll be back in a month or 2. please add BLT to the menu read more

first time ever bitchin about a restaurant....first trip to the ihop in brampton for lunch. very disappointed that the orders didnt come out together, i finished the breakfast order and then my pancakes came out. food was luke warm, gravy was cold, fries cold'ish, fake microwave bacon, pancakes werent exactly hot...good that the coffee was hot. this was a denny's style resaurant, for the money you could serve real bacon, and skimping on tomato slices, so thin they didnt even look like they are there. hash brown looked like two mcdonalds hash browns cooked as one big one. be nice if the kitchen would read the servers order, and send out the right food first time, not have to go back and get what was missed. the food was slow.... at the end i doubt i'd go back, and it was over the lunch period, BUT not all that busy. read more

Third time here.. first was near the grand opening and that visit was not great (long wait, poor service, lackluster food), the second visit was a solid ok, and this last visit will be my last. Long delay to seat us despite having empty tables. Offered to sit us outside when it was 6 degrees Celsius. Waited a good 15 minutes once at the table to get greeted or order anything. Our food then took one hour to appear. Tables seated around us dealt with the same while others got their food promptly. There was a theme of general dissatisfaction with the food with plates sent back. Our server was lovely and was trying her best within an obviously broken system. The food was ok, but my husband's portion was somehow smaller than our child's meal off the kid menu. What was advertised as two sausages was one sausage cut in half. I read some very negative reviews about the service, but decided to go anyway, as we enjoy the food from the States and Niagara. Pleased to say the service was excellent. Seated in two minutes, drink order taken, brought out and food order taken within seven minutes of being seated and food brought out fresh, within 12 minutes of order being taken. They were missing one menu item which was disappointing. The food tasted good but the portions were tiny for what we paid. Tons of staff doing nothing but laughing and giggling. I was looking forward to the IHOP experience you get in US. ordered the classic burger with bacon and fries and Potato soup. They forgot the soup even when waitress after 15 mins came and I asked again about soup. Some of the staff sitting on the patio. Many in kitchen laughing and joking. Restarant is dead and no food coming out. it's play time for the staff. We went for a first experience at the brand new IHOP opened in Brampton. It was not worth the 1.5 hour wait. Then waited more than an hour for food to be brought to the table. The pancakes were so cold that the butter didn't melt on them. Also they missed items ordered or brought out less than the portion indicated on the menu. Our server, Mercedes, was great and very accommodating but they are understaffed and it took ages for us to get our food we waited over 45 mins for our breakfast, and even then my food came 15 mins after my husband was served. Just 2 meals. 35/40 mins later our meals arrive. My crepes were Luke warm and my daughters eggs Benedict were COLD! I asked to speak with the manager and kept being told by the waitress she's busy. She never came to the table and they gave an $8 discount on food that we could not even consume. My daughter ate one of her eggs because she was hungry. Went across the street to sunset grill and were seated immediately and had drinks within one minute and order placed. Seems like it is understaffed and the young staff were trying their best to keep everyone pleasant at the door. Didn't see an owner or manager but did hear them say they were under staffed. The patio was empty because there weren't enough servers. Two to three more staff would have cleared the wait list as most parties were two's and three's. Probably short in the kitchen too.
