Always had a positive experience at Sunset Grill and today was no different. I mean, we come for simple brunch food and it's exactly what we get. I came with a large group of 12 friends and the staff nicely managed to piece together tables for us by having a couple that just sat shift to nearby seating. Water, coffee and food came together quickly as requested due to our schedule. After an early morning of exercise, I had the French Connection meal which came with french toast, eggs and sausages. The eggs were nicely cooked as sunny side up. The table was a bit crammed to fit in the separate plates. The bacon on some of the other plates looked a little charred but nothing the buddies couldn't handle. This is apparently a franchise training store, which could explain the excellent service and mediocre food. They're also proud to let you know at the front that sorry there is no WIFI so just talk to each other like it's 1993! read more

Great spot for breakfast and brunch. I'm a big fan of their avocado toast (small size but delicious) and they always cook my over-easy eggs just right. The bacon was crispy enough but the potatoes we undercooked even though we asked the waitress (Irene) to be sure they were crispy. The dark eye was very tasty. I would do this place over again but don't have high expectations, ok! P.S. The cashier "Andy" was rather grumpy & mentioned that he'd overindulged last evening. The smoked salmon was nice but there were some pieces with dark spots which should've been removed. Also presentation wasn't there at all. Just piled on. The sunset sandwich had eggs that were way over cooked, dry. Peameal an potatoes nicely done. Loved the ambiance there but the deciding factor for the one star was the dry service. While mildly attentive the waitress seemed rude / not interested in making the patrons feel at ease. Very blah. Think that set the mood for the rest of the meal. The potatoes were just a tad salty and the requested crispy bacon could be a little more crispy, but over all enjoyable food. The portion was large and filling. Prices are generally a little less than some similar type places, but any add ons are pricy. Their house brand coffee is mellow but decent, and they kept it refilled. I came here and ordered steak and eggs. I always get my steak Medium Rare and it was decent for the price. Steak and Eggs is around $14 and their classic breakfast is a great price as well. I find their food can be to salty sometimes and consistency is not always the greatest. However, their service is always on point and the staff are very friendly. I usually always go to Sunny Morning in Mississauga so my expectations are pretty high for breakfast joints....and after all they say that Breakfast is the most important Meal of the day so you might as well make it a great one! read more

I always get some waffles or pancakes covered in whipped cream and fruit, because it's always delicious. Although their chicken sandwich, and bacon and eggs are good too. I would give them four stars but the quality of their food drops off noticeably if the restaurant is more than half full. For example their bacon is perfect when they're less than half full, but as soon as they go over half then the bacon will come to you overcooked and too crispy. read more

The food was decent. I had their pastrami on waffles with dijon. My waitress was Kira and she was quick with the order. Had a good smile but didn't check up on my until after my meal was over. However the owner/manager at the till who took my payment (with the bald head, goatee and sleeve tattoos) ruined the entire experience. Gone down hill since new ownership I was in for breakfast this morning only people waiting to be seated plenty of seats was ignored while staff chatted with each other. Lots of staff more than under previous owner but getting less done. Cooks were the only three busy all the time doing there job. Waitress was pleasant when around but again waited for food while it sat on the counter getting cold so she could chat and drink her drink and then waited for the bill. Had an amazing breakfast with my family on a Sunday. about 9am was not too busy, but quickly filled up after that. Service was fast and friendly (Christine was our server) strawberry cheese cake french toast was outstanding! chocolate chip pancakes were huge and fluffy. Definitely go back there again. For all the times I have visited this location for breakfast, I have had exceptional customer service! The staff is very friendly and kind! I remember on one occasion, there debit/credit machine was down and the manager actually let us leave the restaurant to get cash and return later to pay. Made me feel like a trusted and valued customer! During all my visits, Ive always got an omelette with a side of potato wedges and toast. I find the food is always well cooked and served in a large portion for a good price of 10-14$. Myself and three other ladies had breakfast around 11:30 am on Dec 19th. The service was extremely slow. When my order came the home fries were stone cold and the sandwich came with brown bread not white as ordered. After the meal I politely pointed out to the waitress that the potatoes were cold and the order was wrong. Her rude reply was "Well, what do you expect me to do about it you should have told the owner". I did not even know who the owner was.
