This location is quite convenient if you live near Far Rockaway Parkway. The food isn't much besides being a sugary and salty sensation. It's cheap stuff like my ham and cheese omelette. It kind of felt like I was eating nachos with how it tasted. The eggs were unsalted and unpeppered, which I had to manually season myself. The pancakes were not bad, but the syrups provided tasted more like melted candies than genuine maple syrup. However, for $14 for two separate meals, it was valuable since I hadn't eaten all day until I arrived. If IHOP is paying attention, I would encourage the company to keep this $7 per meal deal as I think it perfectly matches the quality of its products, and during these economic times, a cheap plate of eggs is what the world needs right now. I mean I guess because I didn't physically come to those place they thought they didn't need to service me proper . I ordered through uber eats (which is another reason why im upset/ paying extra for fees and not getting what you asked for sucks) and when it came I received a dry biscuit which sugary jam and cream , no gravy that was ordered, plain hot chocolate (not the limited strawberry one ordered) and some eggs so meat selection . The food at ihop was great. I tried the biscuit sandwich for the first time which was really good. My grandfather got the 55+ meal which he enjoyed and my mom enjoyed her burger meal. In the heart of Brooklyn I didn't know what to expect yet upon entering this IHOP I was pleasantly surprised! Not only was this a clean professional environment, the staff was inviting and professional and the food seems fresher and more flavorful like the IHOP of old. We decided to walk down to IHOP after an awesome CCC church service and I'm glad we did. The customer service was excellent! We were greeted at the door by friendly staff (including the General Manager and Security Guard) and had attentive service from our server Selena the entire time. Stopped by for some breakfast now that indoor dining is in place at 25% The first thing that stands out is the huge white tent. This tent houses long tables and chairs for customers to sit and dine to offset the overflow and limit close contact. Kudos for them! Upon entering I was greeted and asked whether I wanted indoor or outdoor dining. For me my experience with dinner style places like Ihop had always been indoors, so I chose that. They followed the COVID regulations by taking hand temperatures and having hand sanitizers. My wait was about 10 minutes, which was not bad at all. My waiter was super nice and patient giving ample time for me to decide. I also had the manager and other waiters ask if I was ok and being served. I ended up having the belgian waffles with spinach omlette topped with cheddar cheese and a lemonade iced tea. It took 5-7 minutes for my order and it looked awesome! The omlette was great, and made sure to add enough spinach and melted cheddar, which tasted so good! The waffles were soft with a very light crunch, which is how I always remember having it as a kid....ihop how did you know?! The lemonade iced tea looked like a cocktail drink with the top half showing the lemonade and bottom the iced tea. Mixing the two with my straw and tasting this was delicious as it was my first time having this blend. This location was curtious, safe, fast, and attentive. For this I gave them five stars. I must say this IHOP location has done a complete 360. The interior has been updated, the staff trained to be more professional and the managers are elbow deep with helping the servers get orders out. I love it! My 6 year old asked if we could please celebrate his birthday at IHOP. I was happy to obliged. Most kids ask for a car on their birthdays. This simple request was not a tough one. The service was amazing from the door, to being seated and to the waiter OMAR, who made all the guest he was servicing smile. We kept it pretty simple, pancakes, fries, GREAT coffee, chicken tenders and something new off the menu - pancake sliders. NO complaints from my kids, means great food. Shot I don't have a single complaint. The best part is they all sang a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweetheart, and that absolutely made his day and mine. That does not reflect on me giving it 5 stars but truly for the updates they've made in service. ENJOY! you will not be sorry. After being involved in a car accident where a drunk driver ran into my girlfriend and I as we were driving we were hungry and decided to go to this location. Of course she wasn't in a good mood as a result of the incident which transpired prior to us arriving to IHOP, however, a combination of good food and great customer service was able to get her smiling again. I had the cheesecake pancake with turkey sausage and scrambled eggs topped with cheese. She had pancake breakfast as well. We were so delighted with the food. Some IHOP's have disappointed us in the past but this one always seems to deliver. You can't go wrong by dining here. The have a world class staff. My server on this occasion was Martina, Server 1114. Go see her. She is super cool. She will put a smile on your face. And hot food on your table. Although this IHOP located on Flatlands Avenue in Brooklyn is far from my residence, their consistent food quality, taste, and ease in ordering take out for pickup via telephone is without question incredibly better than attempting to order anything via telephone from IHOP's other Brooklyn locations. The Flatlands Avenue IHOP Team are great in taking my order and having it ready for pickup within the quoted time of completion. On every occasion when we have picked up our food, this particular IHOP provides only margarine instead of butter for take out orders. The taste of butter is definitely better over IHOP's delicious Milk & Cookies or short stack pancakes. Other than our butter preference, this IHOP provides excellent customer service for those morning take out orders. Another around the way restaurant...that surprisingly has taken me this long to review. I've always liked this iHop location. Very friendly atmosphere and good service. Only drawback I have had here was recently when I cam to iHop for National Pancake day. I had a 3 stack of pancakes and chicken tenders. The tenders which I've had in the past were good, the pancakes however...ehh not so much. Don't know if it was because they felt it was a rush order since in fact it was National Pancake Day or if that is how their pancakes taste on a regular basis cause when I do come here I usually get scrambled eggs and waffles which is really good. The pancakes though tasted really bland and adding syrup to it barely helped. Guess I'll be making my own pancakes next year for NPDay but I'll still come here for the scrambled eggs, waffles and good service. read more

We were 1 of two families there. We arrive and almost all the workers were chatting in the front. NO ONE a came to check on us UNTIL I went up to them. Then you would think the food would come out quickly NOPE it took forever to come out, I literally had to get up again and ask about our food. Then when it did come it was coolish and tasted cheap despite iHop's major increase in price. For a family of 4 we spent over $100 on blah food.... Would have better at a non chain restaurant! Racism at the location. I have never seen this amount of racism and segregation ever in this modern times. My wife and I went to the Ihop (we are Mexican American, neutral color of skin, closer to white). And we both were served plastic dinnerware, coffee on a paposr cup, orange juice on a plastic cup. And all around us, AfricanAmerican, and none white color were given proper glassware for their water, juice, drinks, mug for coffee etc. I felt treated different and alienated from the rest id the customers. I would give a 0 to this location. Also the food was improperly served. The food didn't look like the images. And to add, the omelette was missing the sour cream advertised in the pulled pork omelette. Plus the pancakes missed the creme Brule. Avoid this place if you want to avoid racism behvaior. read more

I am so glad to have an IHOP in the neighborhood and it is definitely the BEST in Brooklyn! They greet you warmly when you arrive and cheerfully thank you for your business when you leave. I stopped in for breakfast today and was greeted very warmly as usual. The hostess was nice enough to get us a booth and apologized repeatedly about the 10 minute wait, but it was fine as we didn't mind waiting for it. We were served by Jocelyn, who was really patient and professional. I couldn't settle on a pick your pancake combo style so I asked her to surprise me and she returned with strawberry and banana pancakes. Delicious! Bf had the same meal but with double blueberries. Needless to say, we inhaled our meals and it hit the spot :). Overall, the place is relatively small, but the staff members are super friendly and patient. I have yet to encounter bad service or a rowdy environment ( I hope that I never will) . The managers are really on top of their duties as it reflects in the customer service and food. Once, I left my bank card in the check book by mistake, of course, and our waitress gave it in to her manager, who stored it securely in a lock box, thankfully! Food- I've stolen bites from my bf's plate of meals that I'd never order myself and they have always been consistently great (sirloin steak tips with eggs, grilled chicken dinner). Pancakes are always on point and the eggs are well cooked. The crepes have been great, too, and the fruits are always fresh.
