Won't be coming back to this IHOP again! Food was disgusting, and so was the service! Very disappointing.

Awful service, sat there for an hour and finally got my DRINK, note: we sat down at 11:30. I finally started eating at 12:56. She never asked if we needed re-fills, I asked for the manager and the manager never came. I then called a buddy of mine who works there, he literally came up there to see what was going on.. someone thought it was a good idea to send the cook to get subway? THEY'RE 4 TABLES THAT JUST SAT DOWN. We were told ours hadn't even been started yet. Note we've been sitting here already 40 mins. Finally my food comes and it's all wrong. Very bad experience. I came in the evening, a little after 7 PM. The restaurant was almost empty. There was no hostess, and I had to wait for a while to be seated. The service was extremely slow. No silverware on the table. I was surrounded by dirty tables loaded with used dishes and food leftovers. One waitress came to the table and started cleaning it, but left half way through and never came back. When I was about to leave, a guy came out from the back of the restaurant and started cleaning the tables. He looked like he slept outside for a while. Greasy, unkempt hair, dirty, torn clothes. Crazy! I don't plan to come back. It used to be a nice restaurant, but something changed, and not for the better. We will go to Waffle House from now on. read more

Worst experience I've had at IHOP ever. I was at dinner with a friend and we were there a little over 5 minutes and hadn't been seated. Then it took about 20 minutes to order our food and then it took skittle over an hour for our food to come out. Several tables around us were having the same issues as we were. And several tables had gotten up and left without even receiving their food. We could hear everything being said in the kitchen which is very inappropriate, and on top of it all the waiters and waitresses were just standing around talking and eating their own food. Wife and I dined there yesterday morning, 12-27-17. Wished we had vacated like the 3 parties I saw that came in after us,.....tired of waiting for the very poor service. Waited 25 min. for coffee. Eggs were cold on arrival to table, no pancakes ever came with my order. Hostess was very nice, the so called manager needs firing, no apology from her what so ever. Took approx. 3 dollars off bill. Waiter & Waitress were very lacking. We won't be back to the Burlington, NC IHOP location. Definite manager issue!!!!!!!!! Worst service I've received anywhere. I have eaten at this IHOP on a regular basis and the service and food are fantastic. The waitstaff is friendly, fast and courteous. The food is always delicious and for the price you just can't beat it. I will continue to come here for a long time. read more

I have been going to ihop for so long and I have never been unhappy with my visits. Unfortunately my last two have been the worst. They lady who sat us do was very friendly but the one who was our waitresses had a nasty attitude since we walked in and the lady who nicely sat us down offered to take us and the waitresses was like no I got it. She asked us what we wanted to drink and brought it out and took our order. Well she had two more tables walk in after us and for some reason they received their food before ours. After waiting so long we finally got our food it was cold and she didn't even take us silverware until like minutes after when she came to ask if we were okay. She never came back after that we received no refills and she didn't even bring our ticket so I decided to get up and pay up front! The nice lady that sat us down apologize for that but it wasn't her fault! read more

The chicken and waffles were fantastic! The service is hit and miss, but it's always a nice quiet place to eat. They are rarely busy in the evening so that's a plus. read more

Food is good but the bathrooms are very dirty. There needs to be more attention to detail to make this a great place for a bite to eat.

Went in at 9:00 pm they weren't busy got seated fast but ended up walking out after 40 minuets without anyone even taking our drink order

Worst service ever!! Waitress was very rude. We never received our drinks until after we got our food. Food arrived one plate at a time, food was cold. And it wasn't even busy, the waitress kept saying were under staffed and I can only bring one thing at a time. Very poorly managed, and staffing very unprofessional. read more

Horribly Disappointed. My Food was cold. She didn't deliver it all at once, the hash browns were cold, the pancakes were delivered at the end of the meal and they were wrong (we ordered harvest grain and nut and she brought plain). She didnt' write down the order and that's ok if she gets it right but she didn't. THe Spinach Omelet was lukewarm at best, the hash browns were cold (yet she still charged extra for them). I asked for a side of vanilla cream for the crepes and she brought me a black condiment size of literally running yellow liquid rather than something the consistency of pudding. Plus I got some unidentified charge on the bill for $1.29. I will put this review on Yelp as well to warn others. Didn't see any manager. Will not be back. I used to like going there but clearly they are having bad problems. Maybe should contact health inspector if they can't keep food hot (or even deliver it at once). This place is HORRIBLE!! It took them 25 minutes to just get our drinks. We ordered at the same time, received our appetizer another 25 minutes later, this was after we watched multiple guests arrive after us receive their drinks, food and finish before we can even be served the appetizer. When you ask to speak the manager about your service she brings a menu out to point out where you are wrong. I thought the "customer" was always right? Like I said do not eat here go some place else. Food would have been okay if hot. Or even warm. Mine and husbands food was at same time took ten more minutes for sons food which was cold too when got to table. My order was wrong plus the people behind us had two messed up orders. Same waitress so not sure what was going on. Did take 20% off bill but still wasted money on cold food. read more

I went to this restaurant seeking quality service, but I received the contrary. My friends and I went one night and we got seated , we waited 20 mins for any waiter because no waiter was assigned to our table. One person from the group had to go tell the hostess that we weren't receiving any service. Worst experience I've ever had at IHOP. This business will no longer have my money. read more

It was Sunday morning and the restaurant was packed. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but that is not unexpected on a Sunday morning - especially with a family of 5. The host/manager Jessica took us to our table and when they brought us water 3 of the 5 glasses were plastic cups. Our waitress Miracle said that they were having problems in the back so that was the reason for the plastic cups. That should have been our first clue that this was going to be a bad experience. After ordering we waited almost 30 minutes for our food. When our food finally arrived 3 of the 5 orders were either wrong or missing items. When we pointed out the issues with our meals Miracle raised her voice to us and said it was our fault because we ordered wrong. When we mentioned that the spinach and avocado omelet didn't have any avocado in it Miracle said, "it has to be in there somewhere." We showed her that the omelet did not have any avocado and asked for some on the side. Miracle replied, "The kitchen doesn't do that." We did tell her that she shouldn't raise her voice to customers and she stormed off. She was clearly having a very bad day. We contacted Jessica, the host/manager. Jessica could not have been nicer or more helpful. She went out of our way to make everything right and assigned another server to finish our order. While the overall experience was pretty bad we really appreciate the efforts of Jessica to make it as good as it could have been given the circumstances. read more

Despite the other reviews, I've been here a few times and never had trouble. The waitress I had was plenty nice and the wait time didn't seem unusually long to me. The only reason I gave it four stars is because of all the calories in the foods on their menu. They've incorporated a few healthier foods, but I don't want a whole days worth of calories in one meal. read more

One star and is a lot, went there for dinner on Sunday, the restaurant was dirty, tables with dirty plates still on it, went ahead and ordered drinks, it took forever to get our drinks finally we got them and their excuse is that they were brewing the coffee which if it would've been truth the coffee would've been hot not warm as it was, we asked for an appetizer and ordered the food, the waitress left with the order and when I was about to stir my coffee I realized that we only had 2 sets of silverware and we were 5, I started looking for the waitress and she was nowhere on sight, finally she came by the table and I asked her for the silverware, she went and took it from another table gave it to me and left, after a good while she came with the appetizer and not even five mins later with our food, one of the orders was wrong as we were afraid, she was nice enough to to take it back and fix it, all this wouldn't be much of a problem because all I have to do is not to come back and not recommend it, the problem is that I had food poisoned, couldn't work on Monday because I was throwing up, today is Wednesday, I have been at work but my stomach is still messed up, throwing up ended Monday evening leaving me only with other well known symptoms. I would love it if Yelp would have a - rating, they would get a - 5 stars, they are in need of good management or close down if they don't want to improve. read more
