Ordered for our company lunch break, our food was incorrect, I could understand it was a little complicated but they served a co-worker an allergen we specifically asked them to make sure was not on his food. The staff seemed friendly but when we spoke to the manager she seemed not to care that we would not be able to come and pick up a new order due to our specific lunch time, could hear her laughing and conversing while on the phone, well not be giving the unprofessional staff any more of our service even if we have a free salad there. read more

Pre-bus much? I don't think they understand the concept of pre-busing dishes at this IHOP. Never go back to the kitchen empty handed, ladies. Soup or salad comes out first, then the entree after that. Check on your customers more and ask if they want sweetened or unsweetened tea. In other words: CARE. Your score here is deplorable. It's hard to get a bad score on an established restaurant chain, but you've succeeded. I guess it's hard to get good help in Dodge City. Hey, manager: Train your staff! Your slackers make ALL of you look BAD! Chat with the host AFTER your tables are all clean. It's a team effort. If you pass a table loaded with dirty dishes, and are going back to the kitchen empty handed, then you're not working smarter, you're working harder when your guests leave. Nobody wants a stack of dirty dishes sitting in front of them. To the cook: watch your cook times! Half cold, half hot, and some scalding hot. Make your mind up on the food temperature please. Food was acceptable, but overall, those small details make all the difference between mediocre and perfect. Be vigilant, care, and help each other. If you want to chat, talk to your guests briefly. This was a horrible experience. My wife and I and 3 of our grandchildren were traveling through Kansas on vacation. They might be used to serving a transient sector of customers in Dodge City, but being a national recognized chain, they need to uphold the company standards. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Thursday. There was one other table occupied in the entire restaurant. The floors were dirty and had debris in several places. Receipts, napkins, and crumbs in the foyer as well as the lobby. Our server was pleasant and tried to do her job, but seemed new and had no help. My wife's turkey wrap contained brown and wilted lettuce. The fruit we were served that day shouldn't have been served the day before! When my wife asked to see the manager to inform them of our experience, we overheard our server tell another, who replied that the manager was cooking. She prepared our food! She came out to talk to us, and after explaining the lack of food quality, simply said, ' I'll look into it', and turned and walked away. No apology or any acknowledgement.
