YP it took far too long to get a basic order. I think there was only like 2 other customers in the place. What's going on? Had to put out a search party for the waitress???? What's going on here? I have been coming to this locations for over 10 years already. I have never seen this location doing this bad in those ten years. Good poor quality, not so tasty. Management walking already the restaurant greeting costumers dress in sandals sleeves less shirt. Correcting the employees at the front door where costumers can see everything and hear everything, instead of pulling them aside and talk to them in private. Lack of costumer service. This location is quiet on the weekends. However this does not mean that the waiters are attentive to the few customers they do have. They somehow are nowhere to be found when you need to order, need to get the bill, or just have a general question. Since it was my family's first time coming here since IHOB became a thing, we wanted to try the burgers. There was a new burger menu and the featured regular one came with unlimited fries and a drink. We proceeded to ask our waitress if this applied to all burgers or just the regular one. She didn't know and had to ask the cashier. While she was gone we began searching for the answer ourselves and saw that the menu said "any burger included in this deal" so we were happy to see this. However when our waitress came back she said it only applies to the regular burgers. We pointed out the font on the menu that we found and she looked flustered and looked around for help, but again there were no nearby waiters. She eventually "gave in" and said we could choose our burgers. For a big company like IHOP to make a change to their name, becoming IHOB they sure didn't train their staff on the NEW FEATURED burgers (that was the whole point of the name change). I am truly disappointed of the service. If IHOP wanted burgers to be their quintessential menu item they should: 1) Work on taste 2) Make sure their waiters know the new menu read more

HOP on over to IHOP after a long day of shopping at Ikea & Jersey Garden Mall. First time we went to a IHOP with NO lines waiting. Upon entering this IHOP we were greeted by a friendly host. Sat down and our waitress came right over, name Samantha. I had the philly cheese steak & my wife had the inter. crepe passport. For a lunch time crowd, we got our food right away. The portions were big and piping hot. She also checked on us with a smiley face, and didn't get rushed out. So much better then Mall food. Here visiting family and we decided to grab some breakfast. I got the Belgian dark chocolate mousse pancake combo with eggs, sausage and hash browns. Food got to the table and I found a bunch of eggshells in my eggs and on my sausage. Sent it back and it was replaced (they even threw in another egg). Bit into the pancakes and they tasted of raw dough. The texture was very off. Very gummy and stuck to the inside of my mouth. I told the waitress and she told me that it's the mousse in the batter or between the pancakes. The issue with that is I've gotten these pancakes before and they were amazing! Not gummy and gross. She brought them back to the kitchen and got me some new ones made "well done" and completely disassembled because she was so sure it was the mousse. So before I added the mousse, chocolate chips and whipped cream, I tasted the pancakes. Still the same nasty texture, still completely coating my mouth like raw, gummy dough. Thinking maybe it's me, I tried some regular pancakes from my husbands plate. Those were delicious, had good texture and I was able to actually swallow them. I told the waitress again that the texture was off and she still insisted it's the mousse in the batter. She did offer to bring me different pancakes but everyone else in my party was done eating by that point. I left very disappointed and hungry. Overall a pretty terrible experience for me but the rest of my party had no complaints. Came here with my granddaughters from doing some shopping at the Disney Store in the mall across the highway. Servers with bad attitude. Served my coffee walked away we did not have utensils on our table so by the time she got back my coffee was cold as ice. Normally IHOP's have free food for the children with one adult paying, not here. Also the children's meals do not include the children's drinks. I've tried to go several times. Since we are staying at a nearby hotel, this is one of the very few options we have. We have actually been able to walk in the door all of once. There are usually empty seats, but with overcrowding at the door, waiting to be seated, there's no way I can get seated ( or food!) in a timely manner. Found a giant roach leg with visible hair follicles nestled in my half eaten steak omelet here the other day. Manager tried to dismiss it as a being a piece of burnt egg after the platter was already removed. Manager does not know I took a picture before plate was removed. Although, manager did the right thing by subtracting $9.89 - the price of omelet from the check; manager also did a very wrong thing by adding $4.39 - the price of the pancakes that came with the roach infested omelet! It can get a little busy because it's right across from Jersey Gardens, the biggest outlet mall in the NE, but it's a pretty large restaurant and they seem to have their tables under control. This is my to go spot. I drive to this location from Harrison just because the atmosphere is more calm then other ihop locations closer to Harrison. Reason why I'm giving it a 3 star is because lately the pancakes have not been tasting the same. Worse customer service ever they close early every single night. I called on Sunday night they picked up and said they only close at midnight during week. I walk over Monday at 11:30 pm and the guy says they close at 11. The website clearly says they close at 12am and they answer the phone until that time.
