    Veggie fi burger

Decent vegetarian food spot at the Newark airport. The burger patty and onion rings were dripping with oil but otherwise were tasty and well seasoned. Service was slow.

    Gluten free bun!!

For an airport food option this is really good. They've got gluten-free buns. Burgers are decent. Milkshakes were really good. Service was quick.

Paid $13 for a mediocre bacon cheeseburger, and it wasn't worth it. The burger was smushed and extremely dry -- definitely not what I expected for the price. The fries were decent and at least made fresh and the Parmesan topping and parsley made it edible. My flight was delayed over 3 hours so I was given a meal voucher and tried this spot out. Even with my voucher I still ended paying a few extra dollars because $20 did not cover my burger and fries. Service was good but the food is not worth it. Definitely a disappointing experience overall.

Overall (B) It's mid Taste (C) It is not a bad burger or a good one just mid Value (C) Around $13 out the door - not a great value and not ripping me off Service (C) Didn't take too long and wasn't fast either. Not mean not friendly - just mid It's the definition of Mid If I had to eat I would get this - if I never eat it again won't be missing anything. Honestly Burger King is better

Great service and delicious burger and fries as I wait for my flight. I got the Cajun fries with truffle dipping sauce and the CEO burger. I swapped out the Swiss cheese and got American. The fries had some heat to them and went great with the Truffle dipping sauce. The burger was well made but the bacon jam looked like cubes of ham on top of the burger. My items were fresh and the wait time was around 10 no more than 15 minutes. I would go back. My bill was around $23. Service was ok, but it was really annoying that a server was constantly checking on throw-away items like the to-go bags while couple of cuatomers besides me were eating at the counter. Let me complete eating, dude! It would be useful to gather all trash, and i can throw it in trash can. The lady the order counter hardly responded to questions asked on the burger ingredients, not expecting to be friendly but at least answer the question on confirming ingredients (restricted diet). Veggie-Fi burger was good but not spicy as it claims. Fries were good but not economic (pay the airport tax ) Overall, ok experience. I might not recommend it unless you have no options (like me vegetarian).

$15 Burger with onions. Smaller than a McDonald's kids burger with 4 pieces of diced onion.

Went searching for a quick bite before my flight and quickly settled on this one. Ordering was quick and easy. However the size and amount along with the quality was not great. Chicken tenders could have been from my high school and fries while hot and decent tasting was pretty small serving. Probably not worth it unless you're very short on time as there are lot of other options nearby.

So, I honestly didn't love this experience. Perhaps because it's inside an airport, I don't know...but this just missed for me. This felt like they wanted to be shake shack and they didn't hit the bullseye. There was as much lettuce as there was burger, the bun felt old, didn't taste seasoned, the service was slow...I don't want to harp on it but just not great. Add in that it was $17.25 for just a burger and a drink, no fries. I won't be back here. This place is a complete disorganized mess! Stopped in for a small burger and fries before a flight and it's a very good thing I had time to kill, because it took 10 - 15 mins to make each person's (including mine) order. Then when I got my order, the fries were luke warm and the burger wasn't made very well, with hardly any sauce and a extremely small beef patty. Flavor was ok. The staff was very disinterested in providing any level of decent service to the customers as well. Lady next to me asked for hot sauce after getting her order and the lady said it would be $1.10. That's simply ridiculous... if you don't ask the customer what condiments they want when placing the initial order, you better not charge them afterwards. Over priced with poor service - Definitely not returning!

I just came back from India. Been away for 10 days, so you know why I was craving a beef burger. Had more than 4 hours connection time, so was able to walk around for best deal. Never had this, but seemed like basic burger to satisfy my craving. Well, that was a mistake. The beef patties were basic, but it was room temperature. It's obviously just been sitting there for hours before someone put them together for the customer. Quite disappointed as my first hamburger in 10 days. I'm certain any other fast food like McDonald could've been better and cheaper.

$62.06 for FOUR of the all-time worst burgers and 2 fries we have ever eaten.

Chef Kai was super welcoming and engaged in convo with us, including with our 8yo daughter - he set the tone for a cozy dining experience that felt like we had entered his home. Everything was fresh, quality, and obviously made with TLC. The dipping sauces were each characteristically delish and I loved that they gave all of them at once so we could try them all. Best ground chicken burger I've had - juicy and worked well with the brioche bun. The oxtail burger was super flavorful and tender. Next time I need to try the shrimp burger. I went with the side of sweet potato tots and oxtail gravy, and it was the best tots I've had especially in the gravy - again, quality and fresh. The pink lemonade was perfection - fresh lemons, real sugar, and not overly sweet at all and check out the container it comes in! Plus lollipops with the check - such a cute added touch. The location is in a park, walking distance from the NJ Pac and train stop. If we had more time (and could take a to go bag with us) we would've absolutely ordered wings and tried another burger - so that'll be for next time! Love having this kind of dining experience in NJ and supporting a community gem like Chef Kai!

Shortly after, another couple came in and were told about 20 minutes. We were the only two parties waiting. When a table opened, the waitress began seating us, and the chef stopped her and asked the other (AA) couple if they were there first. He then told the gentleman, "I see you with family, and I'm not trying to start any problems." This was said while we were literally being seated, and nothing was said to us. It put us in an awkward and embarrassing position, as we would never intentionally skip ahead of anyone. As a Hispanic couple, the interaction also left us wondering if we were being treated differently, even if that wasn't the intention. Then the drink order added to the frustration. I ordered a hibiscus lemonade and my boyfriend ordered a regular lemonade. The waitress repeated it back incorrectly as strawberry, and I corrected her. About 10 minutes later she brought a strawberry lemonade anyway. When I said that wasn't what I ordered, the chef took the drink and handed it to the other couple who had just ordered a strawberry lemonade , saying it was freshly made and "they didn't want it." That was uncomfortable because I never ordered strawberry to begin with. Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and awkward. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled -- especially the comments made -- left us feeling unwelcome. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and customer experience moving forward.

I had the gluten-free pastrami wrap with fries for $23.95 and my husband had the #5 pastrami and corned beef with coleslaw and Russian dressing for $25.95. he also got the drip coffee with free refills for $3.25. Service was amazing. Owner's came out and chatted with us and preemptively made sure that I was aware that my food was safe for me to consume. Our waitress was incredibly personable and sweet. There were free pickles on the table. I'm not even a pickle person but I had three because again, I've been dying for vegetables after being in Europe. From past bad experiences with burgers and product quality issues in many different airport restaurants, I normally don't order burgers because they are always cold, dry, tasteless, and downright horrible. But this burger from Shake Shack was surprisingly very good. I ordered from the self-serving kiosk and the wait time for my order was about 5 minutes. The entire restaurant including the counter area, dining area, and even the condiments station was all very clean and inviting. I ordered the Double Shack Burger made with two smashed angus beef patties, American cheese, and topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and Shack Sauce on a toasted potato bun, an order of fries and a 20 oz bottled drink for $24.79. A little step, but of course, all menu items are à la carte, and this is airport dining. The bun was fresh soft, and lightly toasted. The burger patties were nicely smashed, hot, juicy, the cheese melted and all the condiments were fresh, cool, and bright. This burger was prepared with care and assembled beautifully to create the perfect burger. The crinkle cut fries were perfectly cooked, lightly salted, and golden brown. This was by far the BEST airport burger and fries I have ever eaten. Date of Visit: Saturday 05-03-26 Shake Shack | Newark Liberty International Airport | Terminal A
