As a "Yelp Ambassador" many might be surprised to know that I'd even come to this Ihop but it's the closest to my home (7 minute) drive. I'm a tv and film actor so it's usually more important to dine closer to my residence because I always arrive with many scripts in hand, ready to have some breakfast and study. Now.... I've been coming here since I moved into the area 2 1/2 years ago and I've experienced everything from dirty utensils, sometimes I don't even receive them at all, I've been seated in obviously dirty stalls, I've received coffee with no spoon, no sugar at my table and I've waited for long, loooong periods to even be acknowledged but today, RIGHT NOW? I've been seated for 37 minutes and not only have the two "servers" walked past me repeatedly without even asking me what I'd like to order, the ONLY occupied table in the restaurant (it's now 2:16Pm on Tuesday, August 2'nd) which is filled with a group of whites is CONTINUALLY serviced by not one but TWO servers. The important thing to note about this is I am a customer who comes here at least 4 times a week, I've never even seen this group but they are COMPLETELY ignoring ME. It's been 45 minutes that I've been unattended too now. This is most probably the final nail in the . Never have I felt so disrespected by an establishment that I frequent often or otherwise. Annie B. 0201 3/6/2023 Sunday morning 3/5/23 we decided to go for breakfast. It was a little crowded but we are patient people. The server was a very nice gentleman who took our order. But the breakfast was the worse I had ever seen or tasted. My pancakes looked like they were cooked on a dirty grill and were not hot and the butter finally melted, the bacon was greasy (expected) the eggs were cooked over medium but my side of grits was stiff and barely warm, butter didn't melt, nor did the grated cheese. We arrive at IHOP and placed our orders we sat there waiting for 1hr and we still didn't get no breakfast but the other customers came in after us and got their food before we got ours is so funny because they came in few minutes after us. We ask our waiter what is going on she said she doesn't know how it works but they have like 15 tickets to do, but my point is why do the other customers get to eat before us and we was there at least 15min before them. I placed a to go order and called the local number which directed me to a call center. I wanted turkey instead of pork so they said that I had to call the store (which I thought I was doing already). I spoke to someone on the phone who took my order (I later found out that her name was Diane). She said that she couldn't take my card over the phone, which was fine because my sister was picking both of our orders up. I gave her my card. When she arrived, they said that it was not ready but hers was and that there were orders ahead of mine. She asked for an ETA which there was not. She brought the food back and I said I'll go get the other order. We live 10 minutes away. When she came I called the local number again which directed me to the call center. They could not find my order and I asked to be connected with the store. The store said that it was ready even though my sister just left ten minutes ago and they said it was not and there were orders ahead as well. She would have waited. I got to the store and it was indeed crowded, which was understandable on a Sunday and I asked for my order. They asked for payment. I said my sister just left ten minutes ago or so and she paid with my card. They said it had on the receipt and they showed me "NP". I reiterated that it was paid but realized my receipt was still right outside in my car. I got the receipt and showed them the charge plus my sister left a tip. I told them to look at the receipt and everyone there were about 3 people at the front at that point kept saying I didn't pay. I even logged into my Navy Federal app and showed them the pending charge for 40 something for my family meal.I asked for a manger at that point, and they called Diane. She came up and said you didn't pay. I showed her the receipt and the pending charge on my bank account. She didn't want to look and just kept saying I need to pay and then she said I'm the one you spoke to on the phone didn't I tell you that you couldn't pay over the phone. I said I know and I'm showing you the receipt from just minutes ago when my sister PHYSICALLY came in and paid with my card. She started saying ma'am ma'am calm down I am trying to help you and figure out what's going on. I said I am calm (I was annoyed and raised my voice slightly because she wasn't looking at the black and white evidence that was being presented but I did not yell and I was not being belligerent as she was implying). At this point the whole restaurant was looking at the spectacle. I was completely embarrassed! She then proceeded to say I'm not just going to let food walk out of here, which added to the embarrassment because now you're saying that I'm trying to steal food! I said but my sister JUST PAID I'm showing you the receipt and pending charge on my card! I told her that I didn't like the implication. She said ma'am I told you that you can't pay with a card over the phone. I don't understand what the disconnect was or why this lady was so unprofessional, ignorant, and just unintelligent. Now on to the food. The meat was fine but there was no cheese on the eggs and I asked for them to be well done they were runny. 4 pancakes were normal size and 4 were super small. In the bag there were no napkins, forks, syrup, butter, nothing but the food. I gave them 25 minutes on TOP OF MY ORIGINAL wait time and pancakes were STILL not ready. Y'all should have pancakes in abundance.... helloooo it's the house of pancakes! The customer service is horrible I asked him to check on my order and pointed out other orders were done before mine and I placed my order earlier to which he snapped back yours may take longer!! If I could give no stars, I would. The only good experience was our polite waitress Simone and the pancakes. The hash browns were barely cooked, the Turkey bacon was over cooked and the cheesy scrambled eggs didn't have cheese in it at all and was the worst scrambled eggs I ever tasted. I took two bites and decided pancakes would be the only thing I would finish. I honestly thought because I was starving and was in the neighborhood I would get a decent basic breakfast, but oh how wrong I was. I should've trusted the reviews which is why we write them. Trust me when I say, just cook at home if you want breakfast because it will probably look and taste better. I hear the burger was pretty good so perhaps try something on the menu that isn't breakfast food at a restaurant known for breakfast and you'll have more success with the outcome. One of my friends egg order was wrong and they replaced it so thats good . However, I can tell the staff is still getting to know the service and each other. We over heard multiple arguments in the dining area amongst staff that could've been held in the back . They are obviously having staffing issues and schedules . I have always liked I Hop- but after reading reviews won't bother to go to this one. That said, I think there are a lot of restaurants struggling with the lack of staff. I don't think that people are not wanting to go back to work because they get unemployment benefits. That phase of the post pandemic is over. What I see happening at all restaurants is that former employees don't want to come back to restaurants and have moved on to a better working condition. Restaurants have abuse people giving them low wages and the so-called opportunity to make tips. Watch and see but I bet the struggling restaurants are simply not gonna be able to make it. So be it. My daughter and I went here yesterday. I pull-up and theirs about 4 workers outside. They may have been on break not sure. Car wise besides mine maybe 4-5 other cars there. When I entered I had to wait no greeter however I noticed a worker sitting a few feet away. He finally gets up after 3-4 minutes and said let me go get someone. 1 min later a young lady comes and seats us. While walking I noticed dirty tables. When we were seated I saw crumbs and some liquid on the table. My server comes and we asked for a clean table she apologized and took us to another table which the seats were dirty she got something and cleaned them. As she walking away I moved the table ad from the middle of the table and there's syrup underneath it. When she comes back I show her it and she apologized again and moved us again. We ordered our food and had to wait a long time remind you very few people eating there. When the food finally comes it's barely warm as if it was sitting for a while. The server was nice she was overwhelmed and embarrassed. I saw two other servers. I working the other walking around doing absolutely nothing. My server started walking around cleaning the dirty tables herself. Tables not in her area remember we were moved several time. I've been here before and had to wait over and hour for food so I just left. However I will not go here again. They need a new manager or something. read more

Came here at 8:30am on a Sunday and got seated right away. It started to get busy around 9:15am with people waiting. The restaurant is brand new and the inside is modern and clean. The server was very friendly and offered great suggestions. I had the special sausage and ham omelet with cheese sauce and it was very good.. I ate the whole thing and it was huge! This was the best breakfast I have had in awhile at a chain place like this. All the food we had at our table was delicious and came out in a timely manner which is great for only have been open a week. read more

This place is some absolute bull shit... I have come on multiple occasions and have had an hour plus wait at the very least for eggs, grits and a waffle with the restaurant pretty much empty. When my food comes out it is cold and it took 40 minutes for them to tell me they were out of grits. My server Tonya did a wonderful job, she did all that she could to make my visit as pleasurable as possible but I do not feel that she was receiving adequate support from the kitchen. If I could give a negative score I definitely would! My 2 children & I went in to eat around 4:00pm. There were a total of 4 other booths/tables seated. We ordered our food only to get mine and my son's about 35 mins later. It was COLD and everything was hard. About 10 mins later I was able to find someone to bring us silverware and ask for my daughter's food. I had one of the breakfast bowls with the eggs and bacon crumbled. I took a bite that apparently had a bigger and harder chunk of bacon and my tooth broke. We went to the register and waited for someone to come let us pay the check. The cashier told me she was sorry I broke my tooth...as she continued to ring my order. After I paid I asked to speak to the manager. Possibly a manager in training came out about 15 mins later with an Incident Report Form. While I was filling out the form for him, since he didn't know how, the actual regional manager, Reginald, asked where we were sitting. I pointed to the table next to us. He asked which bowl was mine and he immediately removed ONLY mine from the table. Kyle, the manager in training, did, however, reimburse me for the meal. After playing phone tag with the Nationwide Insurance rep for the restaurant, Southern Restaurant Management Group, the rep told me he would be requesting dental records. Then today, only 6 days after the incident, without any requests for dental records, I received a letter from David "Scott" Hawkins, the Nationwide rep, that "There has not been any evidence provided that has shown that our insured's product was unfit or defective. You would need to show that your injury resulted from a condition in the product; the condition was an unreasonably dangerous one and the condition existed at the time the product left our insured's control. Therefore, based on the information obtained we see no negligence on the part of our insured and we are unable to consider your claim." Meanwhile, I am having to get a root canal which is costing over $2300! read more

Poorly managed out the gate! Businesses survive and progress based on customer service and management. If you consistently do not have enough kitchen staff to keep up with the demand from your patrons, then you have a poor business model. 25 waiting customers, 15 empty tables and all b/c your kitchen staff is not adequate. Absolutely terrible! I understand with COVID-19, that a lot of businesses have to do a lot of things different but this wait time is unacceptable. I came at 10:00 and waited an hour and a half with no food at all. They need to get their priorities fixed. The patrons inside the restaurant should come first.
