Look at my photo in the photo section yes that is lipstick on my new coffee good thing I was turning the cup to take a picture. Food came out room temperature I got the split decision and there was oil all over my plate from the eggs and bacon it drenched my french toast disgusting. On top of all that my server was always MIA when I needed something. I just left I satisfied with a sour taste for IHOP but I guess it is just this location that has these problems. So for you people thinking of coming here do yourself the favor and move along it's not worth it. Don't make the same mistake I did it's already been done for you. This last time we gave this place a chance was the worst experience we could have had. They messed up the order completely on my child's food and what came out was inedible. My wife's food was sent back and still not cooked all the way and this was just French toast. I had a huge burger and had 1 bite out of it and couldn't eat any more. We stopped at this IHOP driving through Texas. My dad's hungry tummy was all ready for some Cracker Barrel - of which I have a real disdain for. A few missed exits and IHOP was within view. "Hmmmm... This is the only place around here and IHOP is usually a busy please. I wonder what's up?" My dad asks. "Dad we probably missed the breakfast rush. I dunno..." The host greeted us warmly and apologized for not having kids menus. We followed him to our table and were very quickly greeted by our very friendly sever. After minutes we had drinks and orders placed. And after a very short time waiting for made to order food, our accurately placed breakfast orders arrived at our table. Everything appeared to be freshly prepared to our satisfaction. My dad kept going on and on about how tasty the bacon was. My princess slaughtered her chocolate chip smiley pancake. I had the the breakfast crepes filled with cheese sauce eggs and breakfast meats. My only complaint would be that the eggs where either overcooked or where powdered/from a carton. Still my breakfast was better than I expected. I didn't expect a gourmet experience, but I was still presently surprised. The silverware I was originally given had egg caked all over it - I asked for another - another set of silver was brought to me - the fork had syrup all over it - I asked for another - FINALLY, clean silverware. 2. I informed the waitress, who informed the manager. She assured me that after all of the trouble we had, I would not be charged for the meal. After sitting there for 25 minutes, while she tries to figure out how to refund my money, she brings me the receipts and tells me she reversed the payment. 5. It's now 3 days later - I check my bank account - guess what - I'VE BEEN CHARGED!!!!! I called the restaurant and supposedly spoke to the manager. She assured me that she would refund my money, after I explained to her what all happened. She said she would call me in a "FEW HOURS" to let me know the refund was processed. WHY A "FEW HOURS"??? I wish I could give this place a half star. I don't expect a lot from any IHOP's but i didn't receive a drink refill until after my glass was sitting empty on the table for 10 mins. I asked for one and it took another 3 mins to get it. Food was overall decent. Pancakes great. I'm just a honest person and I've worked for IHOP previously. Customers deserve better service. Best service, worst food. I ordered an omelette and it came out with absolutely nothing inside of it just a couple of tomatoes on top. Our server said we can remake it no problem. When she brought the omelette back it was huge! I could see the cook from my seat and he was laughing. He had about 2 pounds of cheese in the omelette, it was completely an edible. How unprofessional & just childish!!!! He even came out from the kitchen to walk past our table after I had spoken to the manager. I hadn't eat since 1pm and this was my dinner at 9pm since I had been traveling. I left without eating and in total disgust. Stopped at this I-Hop while driving from Houston to Fort Worth. The place was not crowded at all, but it was 9:00 at night. We were seated very promptly and greeted by our waitress quickly. The Manager, Marcus Marsh is extremely rude, unprofessional, and I accommodating when clearly the issues are based on incompetencies with his staff. My parents chicken noodle soup was greasy, so they set it back and what they received was cold loaded baked potato soup and French fries. And when we attempted to receive a refund on a charge made in error we were denied. Will never return to this IHOP. read more

Unless you want to spend 1 hour 45 minutes eating breakfast, go somewhere else. Our order was "accidentally discarded" and took another 30 min to prepare after the error was discovered. To top it off, the strawberries on my French toast were still partially frozen. The waitress promised our senior discount "plus an additional discount" for taking so long to fill our order, but when the check came, she apologized that the senior discount "was all the manager was willing to do." After asking to speak with the manager, she came back & told us her manager was "too busy cooking so the head server gave you 30% off". I ordered "to go" and my food SUCKED. the pancakes weren't separated, the amount of toppings I was given for them was ridiculous. All of the food was cold as well. I was there for breakfast on 3/11/2017. I am a big IHOP lover and have been to most of them in central Texas. Whenever I travel by car I always map out the IHOPs along the way. My all time favorite is the IHOP near the UCF campus Orlando, FL. This IHOP in Hillsboro, TX is by far the worst I have ever experienced and I have with the exception of this particular location; never had a bad experience at IHOP. The service was absolutely awful! Not sure who is running the show there but they need to take a serious look at that IHOP. read more

How can you not like IHOP? My kids can spot this sign from across town! This is not the cleanest IHOP but that doesn't seem to bother us. The service is usually hit or miss, but hit more times than miss. Overall we like this place and try to go as often as possible. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! My husband and I stopped at store number 1486 this evening at 6:30 on our way home from South Padre Island. We were seated very promptly and the dining room was NOT very busy. It appeared that there were three waitresses and a young man that kept coming out from the back that were "on the floor" and "working". We ordered coffee with ice water to drink; received in a timely manner. I ordered the turkey avocado Bennie, not breakfast or pancakes. My husband ordered the 55+ breakfast sampler. It took some time for our waitress, I believe her name was Jessica, to deliver our food. We could hear something going on in the back, not where the patrons are seated but where the kitchen is but it DID NOT SOUND TO BE WORK RELATED. My Bennie looked different than the ones that I have ordered and eaten from the Mansfield location. I got a menu and was looking at the description listed. My Bennie did not have the cheese sauce and the avocado was very stingy. I ate almost half of the Bennie and the waitress asked if everything was ok. I asked for some more cheese sauce. We were out of coffee also. My husband had completed his meal and we received our bill; still no sauce and no coffee refill. We let our waitress no that I did not receive my requested sauce and we had no coffee to which she replied with "oh". While the staff were busy "playing" in the back we were left feeling unappreciated and definitely as an inconvenience to the wait staff and their "game" or whatever they were doing in the back. Another table had asked for some butter and never received it either. This location, store number 1486, Hillsboro, Texas DOES NOT fulfill my expectation of what I want from IHOP. read more
