The restaurant was really clean and so were the restrooms which is really important as well. The staff were really friendly and our waiter took good care of us. The food was hot and fresh with good seasoning the flavor was awesome. I will be back again for sure ya'll.

Yallllll - this has been the best breakfast by far, from the service to the decorum then to the food, 10/10 recommend! The ambiance set the tone for this location, if you haven't tried - you got too!

The food is good. But the prices on the menu are not correct. When brought to their attention all they said was our mistake and did not offer a refund. They said it just happened but it was the exact same thing 3 weeks ago. AYCE Catfish is $17.95 but the menu states $14.95. That is a large difference. CHECK MENU PRICES AND YOUR BILL.

Gabby was our server. She was a breath of fresh air. Just adorable! Service was great. We had an infant carrier and they were very attentive and accommodating. The food was amazing. The menu is extensive. Hubby had the biscuits & gravy and the skillet breakfast. I had eggs, bacon, and pancake. SIL had stuffed strawberry French toast with a homemade cream cheese filling. (Love it except the strawberry drizzle.) It was loaded with cream cheese. Daughter said the grits were cooked perfect, hash browns and fruit were delicious. Food presentation was appealing.

Peeps. Hands down the best breakfast spot so far. The food was amazing and a lot of it for the price. Best part for me was how the owner engaged the customers and the servers were cool. If I get my grits thicker, I'm moving in. Family owned with a family feel. Alex, keep doing you, Bro. #DrKindness #IFixMe #SelfKindness

This review is from multiple visits but the service is always attentive and kind. Sometimes it can take long to receive your food and some of the portions are very small for the price. There are many tables in the larger dining area which can make it very loud and difficult to navigate around in. The chili omelette is my favorite meal I had at Butter and Grace but the rest seemed to lack a lot of seasoning and flavor.

Have eaten here multiple times and have enjoyed it. Hit and miss but acceptable up until today. This place is always crowded. So be patient. I ordered the Scramble Skillet and my wife ordered the Oatmeal with Bananas. My Skillet was seriously overcooked. Not only that it had zero amount of sauteed onions but plenty of onion skins. Seriously??? I sent it back and got Bisquits and Gravy in which I've had multiple times. Nothing wrong with the biscuits or even the sausage gravy but literally no flavor. My wife's Oatmeal with side of bacon was very good. Just too large a bowl. Our service was slow and almost non existent. This is very consistent with past visits. Total bill was $32 and with tip $38. Nothing is value anymore and my opinion is this was not worth more than $28 and $32 with tip. We fid have orange juice no coffee. Still a goto local breakfast stop.

The ambiance was nice & cute. Valentine decor was simple. They have photo op areas. Service was great. I ordered Chick Fried Steak. It was a tough, the gravy was lukewarm. Fried okra was cold, server exchanged it immediately. Cucumber Salad & Corn Fritters were good.

Caleb is a fantastic server, conversationalist, and gentleman. He told us his two favorite entrees are the chicken fried steak (grits and eggs over easy, whole wheat toast) and the chilaquiles, with the chicken fried steak being the breakfast he ate every day for THREE YEARS. And the chilaquiles are recent, he said I guess those are the runner up. So yeah, we got the best chicken fried steak in the world at this place in the middle of nowhere, TX. It had a perfectly crispy and seasoned crust that didn't detach from the steak (I'm a chicken fried steak connoisseur). Grits? Fantastic. I'd absolutely go back! But most importantly, this seems to be a community stronghold for the small town it calls home, and in one out of every three places you go will have a person in a Butter and Grace shirt-- But yeah. Definitely a great spot.

    Are the cinnamon rolls big?

the Cinnamon rolls are not giants but they are just the right size, In my opinion but the over all dessert choices are amazing

    Do they serve alcohol?

They do serve mimosas but no other alcoholic beverages are available

The decor is very minimal, but one wall completely covered in customer signatures honestly adds a nice personal vibe to the place. Ordering happens at the register tucked into the back corner, so when there's a line it cuts right past some of the tables. Definitely close quarters while people are eating, but it somehow still fits the character of the place. The gentleman taking orders was friendly, just not overly talkative. The lady who brought our food out was very polite and welcoming though, which I appreciated. Overall, the service was okay. Our food took about 10-15 minutes to come out, which felt a little long considering it didn't appear very busy other than one larger party already seated when we arrived. To be fair, we couldn't see what was happening in the kitchen. The only real frustrating part was waiting close to another 10 minutes for a to-go container after asking a few times. As for the food, I'd say it landed somewhere in the average range for Texas BBQ. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing really blew me away either. I ordered the loaded baked potato topped with brisket, link, two pork ribs, all the traditional baked potato toppings, and their spicy BBQ sauce. First off, the potato itself was fantastic. Huge, perfectly tender, and honestly exactly what a baked potato should be. The toppings were fresh and plentiful -- butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon pieces -- and it could have stood on its own as a solid meal even before adding the meats. The brisket was over chopped, which personally isn't my favorite style at a BBQ joint. I usually feel like finely chopped brisket loses some of the texture and full smoke flavor you get from sliced or a coarse chopped brisket cut to order. It stayed moist, but I really didn't pick up much smoke flavor from it. The link was unfortunately overcooked and dried out. The casing had tightened around the meat, and even sliced up it just didn't have much juice left in it. The ribs were probably the weakest part for me. They were on the smaller side, dry, and pretty tough with the meat cooked down close to the bone. Now with all of that said, the seasoning on the meats was excellent. Bold flavor across everything, and the spicy BBQ sauce was absolutely on point. I just wish the meats themselves had a little more life and moisture to match how good the seasoning tasted. Overall, everything felt pretty average to slightly below average for me, especially by Texas BBQ standards. On the positive side, the prices were actually very reasonable considering how expensive meat has become these days. I'd still come back again because I'd like to try some of the meats individually and let them stand on their own without being loaded onto a baked potato. There's definitely flavor here -- I just think the execution was a little inconsistent during this visit.

I ordered the wings and was pleasantly surprised to find that it included two sides of my choice which were the Yams and Mac and Cheese. Needless to say it was all superb and authentic. I placed an online order through their website for the following: Two (2) 3-piece fried chicken wing dinners with two sides each, priced at $9.99 each as advertised online One (1) catfish dinner Shortly after submitting my order, I received a phone call from a representative stating that I had been undercharged. I was told the online price was an error and that the wings were actually supposed to be $17.99 each, not the price listed on their own website. They wanted to recharge me an additional amount for a price that was not advertised online. I was honestly shocked. I paid exactly what their website reflected at the time of purchase. After speaking with a manager, I was told I had only two options: pay the upcharge or receive a full refund. I chose the refund. What was most disappointing is that the restaurant did not honor their advertised price, even though the mistake was theirs--not mine. I did not argue or request they honor the price because I don't feel comfortable having food prepared when there is already a disagreement or questionable business practice involved. As a result, I've placed Ida Mae's on my "do not dine" list. I believe in fair and honest business practices, and this experience fell short of that standard.
