This place truly welcomes you. You feel the warmth as soon as you walk in. The food is great and Shannon and Devante as well as the wonderful hostess are kind, respectful and professional they make enjoying your time there effortless. Really in the am or anytime is a great time to seek food and service here. The food is a plenty as in a lot and that works out great as you can always bring what you can't eat home. I find the place peaceful even when it's frenzied. If it's raining insanely or you just need to feel secure and that some things are right in your world I highly recommend this Ihop because a building is just that a building. my boyfriend and i live in richlands, and i often want ihop.. so we come to the one on richlands hwy, instead of going all the way to the one in front of the mall. every time we come, we're disappointed. but i guess we didn't learn our lesson because the first few times it was just, waiting extremely long, or the staff forgetting simple requests, even cold food or nasty drinks. but today was something else. a rude hostess, cold food, my pancakes were shredding like toilet paper, i ordered over medium eggs and i got white and clear egg whites and egg shells. my sweet tea was awful and the manager took a whopping 20% off for food i didn't eat. so i will definitely not eat there again, unless they get new management, cooks who actually know how to cook and staff that know how to do their jobs. extremely disappointed. read more

Waitress got my order wrong twice , had to remind her that the split decision came with two choices , and than still didn't bring out my order correctly , made it seemed like I was getting a hookup with the pancakes which was already part of the deal going on (unlimited pancakes with a meal) which we never even got offered a refill on our pancakes so only 2 which is nowhere near limitless , and to top it off we could hear the waitress blaming us for the issues with the orders when her manager asked about it , instead of taking responsibility . So first off, we walk up to the door at 7:05 and it's still locked. They open at 6. We didn't have masks, so we were told we need them to enter the store. As were in the car grabbing masks, 2 more customers walked in. 1 with no mask. If rules apply to one, they should apply to everyone. We then sit down and wait 10 minutes after we ordered to get drinks. We then hear a comment coming from the kitchen about our order. Then to find out it was the manager who made the comment. Same man whom we have been dealing with since the front door. I work in food & bev myself, so I get times are stressful. But there's no reason to treat anyone unfairly or make anyone feel unwanted in a spot they come to eat. I will say the server was a complete sweet heart, that is the only reason there is 2 stars. I came here on Tuesday night to finish up my thesis since Barnes and Noble was out of commission. I noticed that one young lady was pulling her load consistently and even started helping out as the hostess and waitress for tables that were not hers. The cooks seemed to be older workers who were complacent with their jobs so much so that they argued with her when she told them they had messed up on the order even though the order was clearly marked on the printout. Albeit she was a bit loud, I believe anyone would be loud if they had already prepped the person on what was written and then had to tell them again when the order came out wrong. The manager, an older lady named Ms. Veronica, seemed to think the young lady was at fault for the managers complacent staff not caring enough to have orders done correctly the first time. Apparently the manager told the young lady that she had to apologize to the customers for raising her voice. I took it upon myself to let the manager know that the young lady was amazing, that the staff was slowing her down, that she was not at fault and had no reason to apologize. The manager took offense to that and even started ignoring me every other sentence. She was so offended she even joked that the young lady was for sale. Not sure how appropriate that was or how Veronica is still a manager with that type of answer or demeanor. *Edit: apparently the cooks are so ridiculous that they started talking about me in a rude manner thinking I couldn't hear them from where I was sitting. If I could give no stars I would. I contemplated putting a review but ultimately I decided to because the service and food was of such low quality, I would feel bad not leaving one. I ordered a lot of food a week ago for my family for curbside pick up and received an email to pick it up around 11:40 in the morning. I arrived around 11:50 and called to let them know I had arrived. I was told (very rudely) that my food wasn't ready they didn't know when it would be ready. I hung up and waited another 10 minutes and went inside to wait another 5 minutes before my food was given to me. On top of it, all of the staff was rude and acted like customers were an annoyance to them. One staff member had AirPods in this ears having a private conversation while telling a customer to wait until their table was cleaned. All of this and when we got home to eat, the food was COLD! We went to this IHOP abou 7pm on a Wednesday evening, and it was not very crowded. In fact, only half of the restaurant was being used. There were 3 waitresses working, which should have been plenty, based on the number of tables. We placed a basic order of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. We waited for 45 minutes, and had still not received our food or an update on why it was so delayed. What upset us was that at least 3 other tables had received their orders, even though we had been seated at least 30 minutes before them. That's a problem! (The other tables had 2-4 people average, like ours.) When we asked about our food, one of the employees checked with the kitchen to see if they were working on our order. Nobody came to our table to let us know what was going on, so we got up and to leave. One of the waitresses had the gall to ask if we wanted our check. Me, Hubby, and 4 yo daughter went here last week. When we walked in there was a big line and our names had to be put on a wait list but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table so not bad. There food is good and there's a lot of variety on the menu. Hubby got a HUGE omelet that comes with a side stack of pancakes! I got eggs, bacon, hash browns, and the stuffed french toast. My waitress offered cheese on my eggs so I went for it. They were very cheesy but I liked them a lot! My Daughter and I went and our wait time was 20 min for her and I (2 people) not too bad at all but be prepared to wait.
