Ate here in the evening to satisfy my hankering for breakfast food. The parking lot was mostly empty and there were only a few people eating. Despite that, our food took a really long time to come out. Our waitress apologized for the long wait saying there was only one chef due to a problem. The menu/menus are kinda disorganized and confusing, so it took us a while to order. I was going find an alterative to the expensive Belgium waffle I wanted, but then found a mega combo with one for like $2 dollars more which i found odd (included eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Also odd was the upgraded Belgium waffle was the same price, so be sure to order one with the combo if you get it. The confusing thing was that the pictures of the food in the menus aren't labeled, so hard to figure out what you are exactly ordering, when there are new-fangled items with weird toppings/sauces. Our waitress was nice, but did not check on us. The food is kinda expensive and price of a cup of coffee shocked us at $4 (they bring out a tiny coffee pot with it, which is nice, but i'm not sure if that justifies the extra cost). We did have a problem where they brought out a coffee mug that had a huge red lipstick imprint which got past all of their employees and we had to point out. This is THE BEST IHOP in existence. This is my first time at an IHOP and I swear they know me so well. The grits were OUTSTANDING!!! I also got the cinnamon bun crepes and OMG, they were the perfect combo of sweet and a little bit of savory. Plus, the grits were so good that my stomach decided to open up to have more. I got coffee and it came with a little carafe, more than enough creamer and sugar on the table. We ordered and our food came out quickly. The boys were super full and my husband's omelet was almost the size of his plate. After finishing half, he needed a to-go box. The thick French toast is really, really thick so be prepared. There is one star missing due to the condition of the men's restroom. My husband said it was far from clean and generally, he could care less. Overall, what the h@ll with the bad reviews?! This location has had several issues which I did write reviews, and then took it down due to the fact that the manager reached out to me, however, this broke the straw. We took our family for lunch after church and waited over 45 minutes after we were seated to be acknowledged, not one waitress came to our table to provide us with utensils or take our drink orders. We had enough and left for another restaurant for better service and food. IHOP staff excuses were they were in the middle of a shift change. Honestly?! 45 minutes?!! I've always liked Ihop for a quick but very rare breakfast occasion. It is not a place that i frequent often but I am usually excited and happy when I find myself there. We arrived at this location in Kigsland Georgia while taking a break and waiting for the car to charge on the nearby electric chargers. There plenty of tables and we were sat promptly. The service was efficient and polite, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I looked at the menu and noticed that one of my usual favorites: The banana nutella crepes, where not on the menu so I asked if they could make them for me and I was excited when they said yes. However, when the crepes came I was really disappointed on the execution. The crepes were extremely greasy and all that you could really taste was the burn oil that coated them. There was too much nutella but that was easy to solve by scraping it off, which could not be done with the grease on the crepes. I will probably stick to something on the menu next time. read more

I was going to eat here with my family but I saw the crew preparing food with decreased observation of COVID 19 Guidelines. One crew member prepping food didn't have a mask on. One had hers half covering her mouth only. They were touching the plates with no gloves on. I even saw the staff without the mask touch his face before touching the plates again. I was by reception desk when I saw all these due to open kitchen plan. I was so disappointed as I love IHOP food. Unfortunately, their staff need more training. I've been here multiple times because it's convenient and I've always loved Ihop. I'm giving it three stars based on that when it was really a two star visit this most recent time. To start, the food was good and hot and didn't take long to get. One issue is poor service and the servers. The other is portion size. The pancakes you get when added to combo meals are half the size and only two compared to when you order the regular pancake meal. They used to be the same size and getting two instead of three or four was fine. Secondly, my pancakes were on a separate plate and had strawberries and sauce on them. Somehow my eggs and hash browns ended up covered in strawberry sauce. Server brought it out anyways and he did ask if I wanted them to remake it. I already waited and was hungry and wanted to eat with the rest of my family. My daughter ordered the chocolate pancakes and was served with no chocolate on them. Once we flagged down the server he went and got some chocolate in a cup. I would say the server is the last one to check food quality and accuracy. Server is likely the one that spilled strawberry sauce on all my food. Finally, like many restaurants they want to seat everyone on top of each other even though empty tables that could be spaced out. Denny's has stepped up their game over the past couple of years and I think is my new spot. I hate it because I grew up loving Ihop. read more

She was screaming at many different employees over small things such as coffee or their food and was very loud and everyone around us could hear her yelling. Ordered food for pickup through DoorDash and when it arrived the order was missing literally over half of the food. Checked the receipt and everything was printed correctly ON THE BAG and it was still missing over half the items. DoorDash credited the account, but when I tried to call them to inform them that whoever was packing up orders clearly isn't checking the tickets no one picked up the phone. We came in here Christmas Day, the restaurant was understandably a little bit busier than usual, however everyone seemed in good spirits. We were seated prior to a few other families coming in and we all had the same waitress as these three other tables nearby. My family and I ordered pancakes, eggs, bacon- easy stuff, generic stuff, nothing too difficult or time consuming. Yet everyone around us was served before us, some tables were even done eating and we STILL hadn't gotten our meals. We were waiting for an HOUR for eggs and pancakes. Finally when we ask, at minute 60 the server tells us that the kitchen is "backed up", yet the family next to us who came in after us are halfway finished with their meals consisting of the exact same things we ordered- eggs, pancakes, bacon! Upon asking the manager couldn't even tell us how long it would take for our food to be ready, our EGGS and Pancakes that we had been waiting for over an hour in a half-empty restaurant, so my parents and I walked out and left. First time in any of our lives ever doing that. Don't waste your time going here. Dirty, smelly, staff goofing off, while you wait without explanation and watch everyone you came in with leave before you've even gotten your food. Oh and they are also out of everything. I like the food at IHOP, but after an hour, how good was our food going to be? We had plans to get things done today and it pushed us so late, that we couldn't get to it. Additionally, we were led to do a survey for a free short stack of pancakes before we even had our service. In reality, after the fact, we realized how big of a mistake it was. Her first interaction with Emily (our server) was her flopping down next to my friend on the booth seat and saying how she's doing all the tables on one side of the restaurant and then turning to count the tables. Stopped in for brunch, the food was good. My hubby had chicken fried steak breakfast and I had the cowboy bbq burger. I was able to replace the perk bacon for turkey bacon with no problem. I went to this location for the first time and it will be my last. The staff was nice enough that's not the issue. Part of my party stayed to eat the other half including myself got our breakfast to go. The portions delivered to the table was nice, but once I opened my to go containers it was something different. My blueberry pancakes were smaller than the ones that were delivered to the table, my two pieces of bacon lol it was one piece broken in half and the hash browns was a scoop. For $9 dollars you would think the portions would be the same rather you eat in or get it to go. Either way it's bad business and I will go elsewhere. read more
