It is really sad...I love most IHOPs. And the new menu with Tuscan eggs is great. Would have been nice to get basil like the menu offered. The server was trying, although 10 minutes in the kitchen is unacceptable. It looks to me this poor kid had 8 tables. The manager would disappear, skinny women with dark hair and bun. This guy is obviously NOT trained well. Although he is trying, didn't clear plates from table when brought the check but made sure he explained the receipt. I did hear a larger women with blonde hair in a bun tell another table she was training when she brought drinks. Then I see her cleaning. This guy is sinking and she is cleaning? There is another server that passed out table several times with my husband's water empty. Obviously this is a management problem, as I look around there are people standing up front and no one to seat and no manager in site. If I am the owner of this, I make some serious decisions about this management staff!!! read more

I have been to IHOP a couple times in Los Lunas, service is slow, and you won't get coffee unless you wait a long while and tell the waitress as she is passing by for more. They will not offer you more. My husband asked for more water, but she never brought it nor the hot sauce. We had to ask a server for the hot sauce which only took less than 30 seconds to get it. May I say they weren't very busy during our visit. I can say the food is very good or we wouldn't come back. Even though service was not good we still left a 15% tip for the waitress. We hope we get better service next time. read more

Friendly and attentive service, made our Sunday brunch a great experience. I went with my cousin and her husband and toddler. Their holiday selections for hot beverages and food were vast and delicious. :) Highly recommend it for an enjoyable family time! read more

The food is always great at this IHOP, however service and wait time is long. The server came twice to apologize for the length of time it was taking for our food to be prepared. Once our food was served, the server never came back to ask if we needed anything like a drink refill or catsup or to bring us our bill. The 4 of us finally got up and went to cashier to pay. read more

This is the worst place ever for breakfast.... Server was good... Food came out cold! Told the server.. The manager comes up to us unpleasantly and asks "what's the problem here"? Told her food was cold... She rolls her eyes and says " well we will remake you can take the old ones with you"! The manager brings out the food and and very rude ask us to try the food while she stands there... The worst experience ever... I will never go back to an IHOP ever again... read more

Would give it 0 stars if that was an option. Service has never been the best. Not busy at all, waitress took our order, cut my son off in the middle of it, then when order came out wrong tried saying it was our fault. Receipt said exactly what we ordered. Waitress walked around giggling with another waitress the whole time. Don't think either 1 of them wanted to work. Food was good, what you'd expect from an IHOP. This is the worst IHOP I have ever been too. Everything was fine until the food came. My mom didn't get her salad and i didn't get my hash browns when it was delivered. When I asked where my mom's salad was, she said she still had to make it. When I asked where my hash browns were, she said they still needed to be cooked. I then asked why her salad didn't come before her meal and we were told she was the only server and didn't get a chance to make it (I saw 4 servers on duty serving 4 tables, I'm just saying). I then said to her that being the "only" server had nothing to do with the cook not making my hash browns. She had nothin.... Crickets. No attempt was made to make things better. Like most of these post, I enjoy going to IHOP. Now with this fairly new restaurant I thought it would be good to take my niece and her kids for dinner. They were having a special on pancakes for the kids for Halloween. This was a big mistake. We were promptly seated and received our drinks. That's pretty much when the good part ends. We were never checked on for refills or if we needed anything. 30 to 40 minutes later the first of the food came out, everything except for the pancakes for the kids. I finally had to go ask a outs the rest of the food about 10 minutes later. The service here is terrible. Then again, we couldn't get any refills. I will not be returning to this restaurant . read more

Worst dining experience of my life! It was empty only 4 tables/parties and it took 20 minutes for drinks. We ordered an appetizer that we asked for before our meal and it never came. When our food finally came (45 min for 2 meals) the order was completely wrong. (Other patrons were having the same problem). When we asked for the right/missing items we waited another 15 min and got frozen, yes frozen food. The worst part was the manager was the one who kept forgetting the drinks and thought it was funny. We saw an empty parking lot and now I know why. This place definitely needs new night management to say the least! Sorry folks, eat somewhere else. read more

Wife and I stopped there while she was on her way to work. Not in a big hurry but not wanting to lounge around either. The hostess couldn't seat us where we wanted for some reason but seated the next party there. The place was only about a quarter full. So, we waited while watching the manager and three employees talking near the register. We waited while a waitress checked on the booth next to us then walked by without a look or concern. We waited while a waiter came in and checked on the party seated after us.... So we went across the street to Benny's which was FULL of people and got waited on right away. Good thing is, there's lots of other places so we don't have to ever go back. read more

I went to the new IHOP in Los Lunas. It was about a week after it had had its grand opening. It was early afternoon on a Saturday. As expected, it was packed. The first thing I noticed was that they were over staffed. Yes, it was very busy but there were still at least five employees just standing around talking by the entrance, but not one of them were the host. After a short wait my friend and I were seated. Then moments after being seating a friendly waitress came by and quickly took our drink order. Everything was fine until it came time for our food to come out. Our waitress came out with half of our meals then walked away without checking to make sure we had everything we had ordered. I was missing my pancakes and my friend was missing her entire meal. After hunting down our waitress she apologized and said someone would be right out the rest of our food. I didn't think too much into the fact that she forgot some of our food. I mean it's a busy afternoon, as someone who works at a restaurant I sympathized with the girl. So finally with our completed meals we began to eat. Not even three bites in, another waitress, different from our actual waitress and the one who brought out our food, came to check on us. After that it seemed as if every employee that passed our table felt the need to check on us. So much in fact my friend and I turned it into a game to guess which would be the next person to ask us if we were doing alright. Before we left we had been checked on twenty-two times. Yeah, we counted. But the funny thing was the second we got our check, which had not yet asked for, they stopped checking in on us. That was the time we actually needed something. After we got our check our waitress would slowly walk past looking out of the corner of her eye to see if we had our checks ready. It was a little uncomfortable, so we asked for boxes paid the bill and left. I was overall very disappointed. The food was fine. It was just your typical American dinner food. The service was what turned me off to this restaurant. It was really hard to enjoy our meal with a waiter or waitress constantly coming by and asking us how we were doing. I have yet to go back to this IHOP in particular. It was their first week being open, so hopefully they have since then improved. read more

AWFUL. JUST AWFUL. 0 STAR RATING IF IT WAS AN OPTION We showed up and the waitress took our drink order. Waited for about 20 minutes to get our food order, then waited about an hour until we got our food. We had to stop our waitress and ask for a refill. She walked past us about 3 times with no acknowledgement. Then she popped up to give us our check and failed to tell us the connection or whatever for the card has been down for 4 days. So we waited another 10 minutes to get this information. She took a table their boxes, went to the back. Came out again to give another table, went to the back. Both times with our cards in her hand. THEN came and told is about the machine. She pretty much rushed us out of the restaurant. There is a reason for all these bad reviews. Will never eat there again. read more

Today was my third visit to IHOP. The first couple of times were shortly after it opened. Today we were there for lunch. The place has really gone down hill. Throughout our meal I observed people sending back orders and asking for things that were missing. I was waiting for my food for quite a while so I was people watching. I ordered an ice tea and was given a sweet drink of some sort. The waitress corrected it. I ordered the tilapia for myself and a child's pancake meal for my son. My tasteless salad arrived in a timely manner but I couldn't eat it because my silverware was dirty. I asked the waitress for plastic utensils which she brought. My son began to ask the waitress for his pancakes and she assured him that they were doing their best to get it out. We continued to wait as people came and went. Eventually the waitress said that the problem was that the order had been placed a half hour ago but the kitchen didn't get it?? We got our food about ten minutes later but the child's plate was not accurate. I told my son just to eat it because we had too leave. The waitress brought him so ice cream for the trouble which was probably not her fault. Hopefully thing will be better if we go back. There seemed to be plenty of staff but things just weren't running smoothly. read more
