    Me at ihop! Yummy food!

The place was empty all but 2 tables. Our waiter sat us and served us excellently! Young peppy man (i forgot his name) he was on it and when a mistake occurred he IMMEDIATELY fixed it! Everything was delicious! I got the pancake meal with protein cakes and cinnabon icing and eggs with cheese were perfect and fluffy! And bacon perfectly crisp! My partner and I had a silly conversation about nerdy things (mtg) and had no problem hearing each other. So nice and chill atmosphere! I'll be back!

This IHOP is severely understaffed, and the lobby is filthy. Additionally, the 3-person staff that was on duty were inattentive. There was no greeter assigned to the hospitality station and when I called out to the kitchen for help, I was advised to have a seat and wait. When I did that, it still took 10 minutes for someone to assist me. There were only a few guests seated in the dining room, so it wouldn't have been too difficult to at least address those waiting in the lobby.

Wait times are 30-45 Minutes and it's obvious they are understaffed. The restaurant itself is filthy! The men's bathroom is a war zone of mold and disease. The only saving grace of this place is the food. The food looked and tastes great. Only eat here if you have a Hepatitis vaccine on hand.

My family and I went here this morning for breakfast. We've never been to an IHOP before so we were wanting to try it. I got the country steak and eggs. Overall pretty solid meal on my end I'm not really a pancake person but it did come with two pancakes, and they were OK. I gave them to my daughters. Service was pretty good nothing to complain about or that stood out. The ambience was OK. Thank everything was about a solid three stars.

IHOP the artist/eatery formerly known as the International house of pancakes is a large franchises pancake specialty eating establishment. This particular location is located in the Jeffersontown neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky on hurstbourne lane right at the foot of the expressway entrance. IHOP being a massive name and Lousiville a large metropolitan city you would think we had several locations to choose from. We actually don't. This was the first one here and remains the only one. The location itself is in a very heavily populated business area of the city so it's in a nice spot. It is always super crowded no matter when you come here. I've never been able to walk in and sit down. A lot of that is traffic and some of it is this location is always really slow, understaffed or a mixture of both. The food for me is just ok. They have some creative and unique pancake dishes that are very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I've sampled a few over the years and some are very good (the chocolate chocolate chip comes to mind) and others don't quite do it for me. They do have other options besides pancakes. And I've sampled it. They actually in This guys opinion have a better French toast then pancake. But that isn't what made them a National franchise so maybe I'm just different. As mentioned the service here is slow and usually below par. The workers are hit and miss of friendliness. They are always stressed out and chasing form behind so I imagine that attributes to that. A lot do the time your food will come out cold. My wife and kids love IHOP and we would come more often if they could have better service. Instead we stick to maybe 2-3 visits a year and leave full but somewhat disappointed. Overall, it was cool when Lousiville finally got this location over a decade ago. I'm shocked they haven't opened another up as it seems to be very popular. Maybe the low service ratings keeps that from happening. Which is Shame because IHOP is nationally known and Louisville has the size and residents to be a good spot for franchises to pop up.

Service not so good, Eggs we're not cooked all the way and many other things. Coffee tastes like it's been sitting for a week.

Even my picky inlaws love their burgers! I love the mussels above all; but I also will tear myself away from mussels to have a delicious burger once a while. But those mussels!! Very few restaurants in Louisville can keep fresh mussels in stock on a daily basis. They're always cooked to just tender, never overcooked and shrunken like so many places. I just tried their September special "The Big Boil". Oh, bravo!! It was a big bowl of mussels, sausage, shrimp, corn and potatoes in a spicy Cajun style broth. It was all finger licking good!! I'm so glad I tried it! Now I need more! I even brought the broth home to use for more boils. If you like spice and seafood; you need to come experience this! Also hint: you don't have to fight the crowds and accept high tourism prices in this part of Louisville. Come on down!

We dropped in on Oaks night and even though it was pretty busy we were able to grab two seats at the bar. The only downfall of this was the time of day and the position of the Sun blaring through the garage door windows blasting me in the face however that cannot be helped or avoided, just a heads up for anyone who is super sensitive to the sun and arrives around sunset. I started with a Sunset Spritz and looked over the menu, there are so many great options to choose from and I was really torn on what to get but decided on the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich (you can also get grilled or fried, but the bartender recommended blackened) and an order of sweet potato fries. The fries come with a side of a smoky pineapple chutney of some sort and even though I'm not a huge fan of anything that's really smoky it was absolutely delicious and a great combo. Seriously 10/10 recommend. The sandwich was also fire! I am extremely picky about sea food, especially since I used to live near the cost so it was always fresh and it definitely did not disappoint. I was so full when we left lol My husband got the beef sliders as his entrée with a side of regular fries tossed in roasted garlic pepper. I tried them and they were just OK. The sweet potato fries are definitely where it's at! I am really looking forward to going back and trying out some new items like the Cheeseburger Hand pies, Chicken tenders or one of their boozy milkshakes ... it sounds delicious doesn't it!

Bourbon and Burger's menu is at least 50% identical to Mussel and Burger Bar and has some overlap with Havana as well (both currently or previously owned by Ole Restaurant Group/Martinez/Lorenzo). If you like Mussel and Burger, you'll like this. And pay about $10 more per meal. The burgers are mainly in the $15-$18 range. For JUST a burger. Add an extra $5-$7 for fries and you're looking at a BURGER meal topping out around $25. That's more than you'll pay for a burger at any fine steakhouse. Shakes are $9-$15! $1 extra for ranch! We just spent $120 for 3 people. For BURGERS. I'm not sure who decided on this price point but it doesn't fit. The vibe of the place is very casual. The food itself tasted fine. I don't recommend the zucchini fries. Burgers are too tall - with 2 patties on them. We had to eat them in sections with forks and knives (no thanks). Service was very slow. I don't think our server actually ever checked on us the entire time we had our food. Towards the end of the meal, I noticed the server had taken my soda away. And never brought a new one. I have no idea why. The grass bull outside makes for a fun pic. The restaurant has a great ambiance and offers outdoor seating as well. We won't be back.

Particularly when chefs prefer fancy twists on familiar bar food. Our group of 6 adults and two grandkids had a hit & miss experience. My wife's fish tacos were a disaster. We requested blackened fish instead of fried on corn tortillas. Her dinner was a disappointment. Cold flimsy tortillas and cold fish with an overpowering aioli. No sides were included in this order. Another diner ordered the BLT. Again, they had to dress up the sandwich rather than stick to the classic. The pimento cheese did not enhance the sandwich. Another at the table went with one of Recbars "egg rolls". It was lead. Heavy, with an overpowering greasy, flavor. The "wrap" was so heavy, we couldn't tell what was inside. On the plus side, my chicken parmigiana sandwich was very good. Lightly breaded and fried, moist and covered with a solid marinara sauce and melted cheese. Served on a bun with tater tots. The cornflake chicken fingers were impressive. Large pieces, again. lightly fried. Service was friendly, patient & prompt. They only serve Pepsi products and if you're looking for a diet drink you've got one choice-diet Pepsi. Thankfully, they do offer unsweetened ice tea. Of course, there's a full service bar for "grown up" drinks. The desert, "oh cinnappy" ordered for our 9 yr old grandson was a hit with the adults. He preferred to hit the games. The rest rooms were smelly and messy. And one had no paper towels to dry your hands. But here is why we'll never go back. As we were ready to leave, the sky opened up. A drenching storm. My wife asked the hostess for a plastic bag to cover her hair. The response? Not my job, you'll have to ask your server. We were dumbstruck by that response. She's the greeter. And clearly has no concept of customer service. The servers were busy (the place was hopping on a Sunday night) and she was just standing at the front desk. No one waiting for a table. No one at the door. She just couldn't be bothered. So, we won't bother to come back.
