I almost always order the shredded beef tacos at IHOP. The taste is consistently good across locations, but the plating can vary. This time, the cheese on mine wasn't melted, which I don't prefer. On the positive side, they brought sour cream for the first time, which was a nice addition. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the wait time was about 20 minutes, which felt a bit long considering there were only four tables occupied. I will say it's gotten more expensive than I remember to go IHOP but if the same food was served 10 miles east in some hotel lobby with a funny name, it would probably be double. We had a pleasant experience, but we had a few minor issues. Most noticeable was the lack of cold air conditioning; the entire restaurant seemed a bit warm. The food was good, but we didn't received some of the items we ordered, and by the time they brought them out we were mostly done with our meal. The restaurant was clean and well organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised on my last visit to IHOP. So confession time, I had only ever eaten at IHOP once before, over 15 years ago. So coming in I had low expectations based on my past experience but I do have to say everything was better than expected. We came on a Sunday morning so there was a wait which was expected but we were lucky that we only waited about 15 min (we were a party of two). We were greeted immediately once we got seated and our server was so nice. Unfortunately they don't have many options for drinks. Really only plain coffee and black tea. As I can't have coffee I would have liked to have some tea options other than Lipton black tea. For our entrees we got a 2x2x2 with poached eggs, turkey bacon and pancakes and a split decision breakfast with scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, sausage, French toast and pancakes with a side of hash browns. The food came out pretty quick and tasted really good. I have no complaints there. The menu as a whole could have some healthier additions and options. If you're craving a typical American breakfast that won't break the bank I would definitely come here. read more

Nick was very helpful at night. I had a very demanding and complicated order at 4:30 AM since I had an exam that day and hadn't eaten. The food came out very well-prepared since Nick paid attention to the nitty gritty details of my order. Very nice service despite the hour and annoying order. After several attempts on our part to make her understand our seating request, we asked the mgr. to handle it which he did. Server - once we sat down after a 30min. wait, we waited another 10min. for our server to show up at our table. She was just as unengaging as the hostess. She took our drink & food order. The coffee came fairly quickly but the food took over 40min. to arrive & it came in spurts so no one ate at the same time. Server name - no clue because she never told us. Food - as mentioned, it came in spurts. Ordered - "Have It All Breakfast Combo" included: Two Jolly Cakes and one Funnel Cake, two strips of hickory-smoked bacon, two pork sausage links, two pieces of thick-cut ham, two eggs and hash browns. It sounds like a glutton's delight & artery clogging delicious right..??!! Unfortunately, it had to be sent back 3 times because all of it was cold, extra greasy & inedible in one way or another. ALL our food orders had something unsavory about it - from dried out pancakes to old toasted bread. Restaurant - there was not a single table around us that didn't have an issue with their food or service. Most customers around us were walking out of the restaurant...never seen anything like it. Manager - The GM from another IHOP in Hialeah was troubleshooting all situations & customers. As he told us, the manager of that IHOP was in the back & he didn't want to face his clients or wanted to address any of the issues going on...couldn't believe what I was hearing much less experiencing. Having an IHOP by the Westchester area is great, being a 24/7 location next to the University is a genius move. I have been there a couple of times and got the impression that they truly want to service you the best way they can. Based on how they treated me, the amount of times they checked on our party, from the person that sat us down, server and Manager. Regretfully the location seems a bit small for the popularity of IHOP in this area. The center of Miami packs some serious amount of melting pot. But happy to have them close by a fee places I visit, so a quick treat could be easily managed. IHOP is the business with the first i. Way before iPod, iPad, iPhone, etc. I particularly have to have the "Harvest Grain 'N Nut" pancakes. Best thing after the invention of the wheel. Truly. We came to IHOP because my husband was craving a steak omelette. We were a little concerned about the reviews (only 2 stars). However, I must say, that either Aimee our waiter, made it worth the additional stars or they have definitely improved their service. The bacon was nice and crispy, the hash browns were perfect, and the sausages were delicious. The pancake weren't as fresh or IHOP like, and neither was the ham but everything else was delicious. I've been to this location on two different occasions and you can tell that there is a racial separation at this restaurant. Some of the staff members are hostile and mistreat black women especially young, singular, black women. The preference here is people of Hispanic descent and they will seat families before you even if you arrived there first. Most go out of their way to show on their faces that I'm not welcome here. On one occasion my server was extremely insolent towards me and spoke to me as if I was a child , sat me at an obviously dirty table when there were plenty of clean ones available, and served me food that was not cooked all the way through. At this time he too treated someone else of Hispanic descent better than the service he provided to me. On both occasions, the traffic in the restaurant was slow. I only come to this location because it is convenient location for me. But after today, I'm seriously considering to refrain from returning. Oh my oh my. We went to this IHOP on Sunday, 03/13/22. We got there around 1:30pm and weren't seated until 2:30pm or later. Then we waited another 30-45 mins after being seated, for someone to take down our order. Needless to say, I asked our waiter what took them so long. She said "the staff that was suppose to leave at 4pm, decided to leave earlier and we were left short staffed and running as If we were chickens with our heads cut off"...I mean, I understand circumstances but at least work in letting the customers know "sorry, we are a bit backed up today, we are working to help you as soon as we can". As far as IHOPs goes, this one was above average. Place seemed surprisingly new, modern, clean and well maintained. Conveniently located across the street from FIU. Server wasn't the friendliest person in the world, but was on par with other IHOPs. Overall a great place to have a very nice breakfast for a affordable price. This place is terrible‼‼ Me and my family came in at 11:40 we got there and it was packed, we are always there and it's always empty, for the first time it was actually packed. We came in, we waited a couple minutes for the waiter to finally assist us. We sat down fine, she asked us for our drinks, fine. We asked for lids for our cups and instead of handing them to my mom she gave her an attitude and she just ended up doing it herself and rolled her eyes at my mom. After, she gave my mom so much bad energy after that she always turned her back to my mom, such bad energy. Then it took like almost an hr to get our food, took forever!! Then a group of classy preppy people came in to sit down and eat and instead of the waiter being nice and welcoming them in she threw the menu at their table and they noticed how disrespectful she was being and they left. After they left she said "they see the prices and then they leave." And then she saw that they leave and she was like "Hallelujah!". Mad disrespectful. To be honest i don't think she's a good waitress to be working at that job, she's can't handle a bunch of customers at the same time and she seem to be work the most there, at the most there was only like two or three waiters and i saw one when i walked in and then never saw him again. My regular experiences at ihops are usually mediocre at best. My trip to this ihop at 5am has set me in a great mood for when I go to work. And that's all thanks to the two awesome people I met when I got there, Mario and Missy. They are very kind and engaged with me well. On top of all that Mario actually listened to my order and in 17 years of going to ihop this man was the first to not put butter on my pancakes as I asked. Seems like such an easy thing and it is... Mario just stopped to check before slapping it on there. The food was delicious and I have marked this location my favorite ihop on my maps. Wonderful wonderful location... My family and I haven't been to an IHOP in a while because even though we would frequent a lot, the one location by our house that had decent service and food changed its entire team (this was before the pandemic) and the place went downhill. Since we have church nearby this Sunday we decided to have IHOP because this one was pretty new and thought it can't be THAT bad. We entered and it looked fairly busy and were told we would have to wait 30 minutes. We did and we're finally sat down on one side of the restaurant where there was only one other table taken. We sat for 15 minutes without anyone approaching us and eventually got up and asked the hostess if someone would be by to help us. In that time another table was sat nearby and was already getting their drinks. She said she'd send someone. After a few minutes she came over and asked us if we'd like to move to the other side because "I think they'll serve you better on that side than this side." We all looked at each other and I told her we'd be leaving but thanks. It's not a staffing issue cause the tables sat after us were getting served. I even made eye contact with a server from our section and he turned away immediately, I guess so he wouldn't have to help us. Go somewhere else and save your time and money. read more

The servers weren't very attentive, but the restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately, the food also left a lot to be desired. My waffles were cold by the time I received them, and most of the food looked like it had been sitting there for a while before it was served. The hash browns were pretty disappointing, as they seemed undercooked and almost freezer cold.
