The food was fantastic, the service was adequate as could be, and the atmosphere was homely.

Had an issue where last year and I contacted the manager about it. Told me when I come back they'll be able to fix the problem. Well today I came back and the customer service was 10/10. Meylin was very attentive to me and my partners needs. The food was hot and very good. I'm glad they took the criticism on the cheesecake pancakes and brought back the original ones. Thank you meylin for excellent service. We'll be back.

IHOP was close to our Hotel and much cheaper than the Hotel Breakfast. They were busy and we only had a 10 minute wait. This restaurant could use some updating, it' small inside and we all were packed in like Sardines, the parking lot is tight too. Our Waitress was nice and attentive, the Staff friendly and food was good.

I'm tempted to give it a higher rating in nostalgia alone, since one of the last times I was here was after New Years Eve party at Karu & Y with friends. You'll see folks just coming out of a club and those getting off work. The setting is very much like that painting by Edward Hopper... The unlimited coffee pot is 5 stars. If you're like me, I took it with no cream or sugar. It's pretty much "bottomless" but at 5am that feels like something that deserves a Michelin award. Since even after a long late night I try to eat healthy, my main was their turkey bacon strips (4 strips of 120 calories). The flavor and crispiness were on par and hit the spot. Their blueberry pancakes were light & fluffy, and the blackberry compote (most likely not organic :) very heavily sweet but just enough of a sugar rush before getting home and back to bed. My server was pretty attentive, and the space functionally clean.

"Error in order "protein style/bun-less burger"
    Claudia P.

I'm sorry but this was a disaster of an error. I ordered a PROTEIN STYLE (no buns) burger I even said to the lady in Spanish we can not eat bread and I asked for SWEET POTATOES BECAUSE I CANT HAVE THE SUGAR IN THE REGULAR POTATOES. They served me a regular burger with a bun, no veggies inside of a ton of regular potatoes and no sweet potatoes m. ( I doubled checked to make sure they served sweet potatoes BEFORE I ordered she said YES, "si" is yes. I said "pap Dulce de la anaranjada". So? Both my husband and I cannot eat carbs/sugars or potatoes they served his meal ALSO with regular potatoes and tossed a couple of regular pancakes in the ordered Eve though I asked for gluten free. Then they served me the gluten free pancakes burning, burning to the point the box is melting and hand them to me I burn my fingers the box is MELTING' and she says oh yeah be carful the box is melting."? Please please @IHOP you need to standardize your low carb option for poorly on special diets, diabetics, gluten allergies, flour allergies, sugar alternatives. I received NO sugar free syrup even though I estates plain and simple we CANNOT have sugar in both languages. $30 dollars for me to eat the burger with not even fresh veggies inside. (

If it were possible to give this no stars I would do it. Hands down this is the worst IHOP in the United States. Even by IHOP standards

And then there are places that create such a perfect environment that every night feels memorable. John Martin's Irish Pub is one of those rare places. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the history and authenticity. This is not a place pretending to be an Irish pub. The atmosphere is real, warm, and inviting. The craftsmanship of the bar, the energy of the room, and the welcoming staff create a vibe that is incredibly hard to replicate. The whiskey selection is absolutely phenomenal. If you appreciate Irish whiskey, this place is paradise. Their collection is one of the most impressive in South Florida and the bartenders truly know their craft. The food deserves just as much praise. The shepherd's pie is honestly something to die for. Rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The fish and chips are fantastic, the classic pub dishes are executed beautifully, and every plate feels authentic. Then there is the live music. The atmosphere during live performances is electric in the best way possible. It is lively, fun, and full of energy while still being a place where you can enjoy conversation and great company. But what truly transforms a great place into a perfect place is leadership. That is where Anna comes in. I first met Anna years ago when she was managing at another venue, and I witnessed firsthand how she handles people and situations. Her professionalism, calm leadership, and ability to create a welcoming environment stood out immediately. When I discovered she had become the General Manager here, I was excited to visit again. The transformation since she took over has been remarkable. The energy of the staff, the attention to detail, and the overall experience reflect the leadership behind the scenes. Anna is the heart of this place. As someone who manages a large company and hundreds of employees, I can say with complete honesty that she is one of the most impressive leaders I have ever seen in action. She leads by example, treats people with respect, and creates an environment where both staff and guests feel valued. There is something almost unbelievable about her positivity. Every time I see her she is smiling, welcoming guests, and making sure everyone is having a great experience. It is contagious. You leave feeling happier than when you arrived. That kind of leadership is rare. John Martin's is already an incredible establishment with amazing food, incredible whiskey, and one of the best atmospheres in Coral Gables. But with someone like Anna leading the team, the place continues to get better and better. Where she goes, I will always follow. Because every time I bring friends, family, or dates here, the night ends up being unforgettable. Miami is full of places to go out. Very few reach this level. John Martin's absolutely does.

My friend and I also shared the deviled eggs, fries, and creamed corn - all of them slapped. She ordered the caesar salad, which she loved. We grabbed seats at the bar and the service was top-tier. Every bartender and server was super warm and attentive. We were aware that we were coming during a busy time as the match was ongoing, but she did give off an attitude that indicated she was stressed and potentially unhappy that she had to work this particular shift. My cousin and I started with the Frito Mixto seafood appetizer. It was an adequate size portion that was served with a delicious, garlic aïoli sauce, lemon, and sliced red pepper. It was a mixture of shrimp and calamari. We enjoyed the atmosphere and wanted to know that we really enjoyed the decor and all of the plants that made the rooftop feel more like a garden. It was definitely Coconut Grove vibes. My only critique other than the service would be that we noticed the prices were a bit elevated for the selections. This would not be a regular go-to spot for me due to that. It was a very nice view and spot to check out nonetheless.

Probably not the smartest thing to order a drink with two shots os Espresso at 10:40p but it soup def to tasty and it was! Plus the little chocolate that came with it!! Yum! If they sold those bars... I got the watermelon salad minus a bunch for f stuff: basically just watermelon, cucumber and feta. Thick clucks of cucumber, tasty watermelon chunks and hunks of feta. Yes, please! For protein I went with the double cheeseburger minus the bun and mayo and without the side order of fries = gluten free. They have a GF bun but I rarely eat a bun. It was a double pressed patty that was freshly made not cooked earlier and rewarded, so hit that the cheese was melting. Always a good sign. Delicious! Great service from Crystal and Ashley - my water glass was constantly filled without me having to ask. 18% gratuity automatically added to bill. Seems to be standard for all Coral Gables and Mismibhoteks (some add 20%). Had breakfast here. Different servers and hostess as well as different vibe and service despite an empty restaurant. I also understand that getting one of the last tables about 40 minutes before closing isn't always ideal, but it's still part of the job, and we never felt like we were asking for anything unreasonable. We were a party of four adults and a toddler. Daniel introduced himself and immediately asked if we were ready to order. We ordered a glass of wine, waters, an appetizer, and our toddler's meal, and let him know we'd be ready to order the rest in just a moment. About two minutes later he came back for our entrée order, so we placed it. One thing that stood out right away was that our daughter was never offered anything to drink. I ended up giving her my own water because no one ever asked if she wanted a beverage. The food was absolutely amazing, and the kitchen deserves a lot of credit. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out overcooked. Normally, that wouldn't have been a huge issue if our server had checked back on us, but Daniel never came to ask how everything was or if we needed anything. Later, my husband ordered a glass of wine because he didn't want me drinking alone. The wine never arrived, and we never received any explanation or apology. We chose not to ask for it again because it was already difficult to get our server's attention. Instead, he seemed more interested in talking with another server than checking on our table. We've been staying at this location for two nights and have had both dinner and breakfast here, and every other experience has been excellent. That's why this visit stood out so much. One final point: our check included an automatic gratuity. I completely understand and support automatic gratuities when appropriate, but they shouldn't mean the level of service drops. Great service should still be the standard, and unfortunately, that wasn't our experience with Daniel. The food was fantastic, but the service left us disappointed. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because the restaurant and its kitchen are excellent, and with better service, the experience would have been outstanding.
