They were well seasoned. the Bavarian pretzel was salty and soft, and both dips were really good with a good level of spice. The wings were really good overall I really liked the Cajun barbecue flavor and the buffalo over having them dry. The pizza rolls were so good and unexpected. I love them way too much. A super fun and cool spot to catch a game. No matter what it is you're going to find a lot of fanatics glued to the many TVs with you. I came during a Panthers game and the place was packed. It's not even the playoffs yet! The food is also good and not expensive at all. The vegetarian options are limited but I do appreciate the veggie burger option. I chose to "snack" on the veggie platter which included cucumbers, carrots, and celery sticks all served with a heaping amount of ranch. There are two entrances: one by the parking lot behind the building, and another on the sidewalk that runs along Coral Way. The place has plenty of tables & TVs, and it feels spacious inside. We each chose one item to share and ended up ordering the pretzel, nachos, and chili. The pretzel itself was good: soft, fluffy, salty...paired nicely with mustard. I wasn't impressed at all by the nachos. The nachos and the pretzel both had the exact same "cheeze" and it wasn't even very good because it's like the kind you get at a ballpark or a movie theater. The chips seemed like the kind you can get in a bag from the supermarket, they weren't even warm. The chili, however, was on point. Good flavor -- I'd get it again. Maybe our mistake was having higher expectations for these more basic items...I would like to go back and try some of the main items for which they're well-known, possibly update this review after a second visit. read more

Love the small sports bar feel of the Brightside. It's so refreshing compared to the big chains. They offer happy hour deals all week. We ordered the chicken nachos as an appetizer, and they came with shredded chicken, jalapeños, and melted cheese. My friends asked me to join them to watch the Panthers hockey playoffs game and was surprised I'd never heard of or been to this spot. Definitely a little diamond in the Coral Way corridor. I went during the playoffs which was the perfect place to watch because the energy was through the roof, great music, big screen TVs, dancing, cowbell and everything! It was very loud though, so if that's not your thing, don't go here for a big sports game. They added the Panther emblem to the foam in the Guinness, which was a cute extra touch! I had the nachos which were decent but the burger and fries were excellent (note, the patties are thin so they are cooked well by default). I also have to commend the service, for being an extremely busy night, the food and drinks came out very fast! Prices are comparable for Miami bar/restaurants. Family-owned by a young couple from upstate NY featuring authentic Buffalo Wings, Beef on 'Weck as well local grilled Mahi-Mahi and more. It's a sports bar but you can eat in as a restaurant and non-sports fans feel welcome there. It's not overwhelming screaming sports bar like Flannigans or Hooters with TVs blasting. Brightside is a haven for Panthers and all hockey fans in general, plus the official Miami bar of the Buffalo Bills. The menu is inspired by some upstate NY favorites. I didn't try those - was a snack night. Veggie basket was great, but that Bavarian pretzel was tremendous in both size and flavor. Guys at my table made it disappear *fast*.
