I've been going to Ihop's for years, and the quality of food is consistent, good pancakes and eggs- it's what they're known for. My husband and I decided to go late one Saturday morning to grab breakfast and it was packed. We waited about 20 minutes outside for a booth which wasn't bad. When we finally sat down, I took a look around. Everything was so run down: crayon on the wall, cobwebs in the corner, ripped booth seats covered in tape, it was just kind of sad. If it doesn't look clean in the dining area, I am a little concerned what it might look like in the kitchen area. Our waitress was pleasant but you could tell she was overwhelmed by the amount of people she was serving. I ordered the split decision, and my husband had the breakfast sampler. Our food arrived quickly, and it was standard for Ihop, better than diner food, but a bit greasy. It filled our desire for breakfast food. Waited 55 minutes for a Fisherman's Platter. You would think they went fishing for the fish. Waited 55 minutes only to get food that was uncooked. Powder spilling out of my onion rings. Gross. Isabelle our waitress was amazing. Unfortunately, this restaurant is very busy, but understaffed. If you don't want to wait for your meal, I suggest you go elsewhere. The reason why I gave this IHOP a two star the food isn't bad. The service isn't bad but if you take a look at the interior of the restaurant itself, I do not mean to be mean but it is pretty gross. We will never eat there again we've eaten there a couple times and we never noticed it until the last time we were there a few days ago we looked up and there was the biggest cobweb on the ceiling and the window next to our seat seats. We noticed all the booths have tape on them, rips the walls on the bottom they looks like dirt to me. The bathroom is disgusting. Honestly this is one of the most racist experiences I've had in such a long time. The hostess Alfredo is very unprofessional. Yes it's a Sunday morning and it's busy he told me that the wait time is 25 mins which I had no problem waiting. I waited until 35 mins still didn't receive a call so I went back inside to ask and he told me give him another 5 mins which turned into another 15 mins. He then brought me to a table that seats 2 and my party is of 3 which he took note of initially. We sat, the server then approached us and told us that he has a booth for us which have a bigger table to actually hold 3 meals. We went over there and sit. While looking at the menu we was then approached by Alfredo again the hostess telling us we have to move to a different table he needs that booth for another customer. We explained that the server told us to sit there he insisted we have to move to which I felt so ashamed because now the entire restaurant staring at my family and I. The that service I received was so poor, that I am writing my review while I'm still at the restaurant. The wait was long to be seated, which is expected on a Sunday. We were seated after a half hour and our orders were taken right away. The waitress took a long time to bring out my food and by the time it did all of us had cold food! COLD PANCAKES, STEAK, EGGS, & HASHBROWNS!!! Everything cold! So when she came to check on everything I told her all my food was cold and her response was "well I'll get you some Togo boxes." It wasn't my fault all the food came out cold and without her trying to accommodate me and offer To make it over, OR TO REHEAT MY FOOD, I will not be coming back. I went to the IHOP in orange a few days ago for lunch after being in the Milford area. I decided to visit with my partner and great grandmother. To start, service was quick. Once we walked into the door we were seated quickly. Though, waiters were short that morning. 2 waiters for all the tables on that side. This has nothing to do with the restaurant, but a woman left her booth to approach the kitchen demanding her change. Strange but whatever lol. This location is fairly older, I've been going here since I was a kid so I can tell some things are out of touch. Ripped seats, older interior, bathrooms are old. I guess that's what makes them an IHOP. My waiter overall was very nice and quick. I ordered the chicken and waffles and my partner ordered the original pancakes. I would say that I would never get the chicken and waffles again since the size and quality of the chicken changed. They used to be better about 3-5 years ago. The managers are very active overseeing everything and employees are extremely well trained. Good management really makes a difference. Keep up the great work. While waiting, I watched another table come in 15 minutes after I did. They ordered their food, receive their food and ate their entire meal before my table received our food. I asked to speak to the manager and he had me wait an additional 20 minutes. Today I went in for breakfast with my two children and had a terrible experience at the door. The manager or whoever that guy was at the door was extremely rude to everyone including my kids and the kids that were there. He was bothered by the kids wanting to have a seat on the empty bench and demanded that everyone wait in the car. This guy had a really bad attitude and in result I decided to leave and he happily told the front person to take me off the list. The burgers are surprisingly good in fact. Prices are reasonable, make sure you read the fine print for any specials to avoid surprises. Very good. Watch the menu! Ordered breakfast (eggs, hashbrowns, toast) with bacon, it came with two pieces of bacon (actually, it was ONE cut in half). I asked the waiter why only two, when several months ago it was four (full lengths), he said IHop changed their menu and are only giving one (cut in half- I didn't notice if the price increased, as with the rest of the menu items- it certainly didn't go lower). I had to order a side of bacon, which came out with 4 full strips; HOWEVER, the side bacon was much thinner (almost transparent). I realized, and brought to the waiter's attention, the bacon is different than what comes with the meal, he said he's heard the same complaints. IHOP, just letting you know, your cutting corners (on both quantity and quality) is very NOTICABLE! All businesses are trying to recoup lost profits due to the Pandemic, but keep in mind, so are the customers! Different bacon for side orders, that's a new low. The service was great as usual; their talent (and patience) would be better beneficial for them, working elsewhere. BTW, he still got a good tip on the $30 breakfast (for two). read more

I would have given it 3 stars if the waitress wasn't so good. I wish I got her name, but either way the waitstaff is always great. Occasionally the hosts are a bit uptight, but just occasionally. The build your own breakfast is a great option for your belly and budget. As for the burger transition, as strange as it seems, it isn't so bad. The burger options looked delicious and different than most burger joints. Expect a wait if you are arriving before 11 and always on weekends.
