Butter pecan french toast bake

Getting here early on a weekend for breakfast is a must. I wanted to try some of their fall specials before they ended - the mixed berry tea was sweet and fruity, much more like a juice than a tea, but it was unique. The butter pecan French toast bake looked a lot less neat than in the picture, but it was like a little pie with a specialty butter pecan syrup. The bacon was crisp, the eggs were cooked perfectly to order, and we were able to switch out a side of grits with the baked apples, so we were able to try a good variety of foods and they were all great. The decor is quaint and standard across all locations, and the gift store is charming as well. Make it a stop on your travels and you won't regret it.

Cracker Barrel definitely serve up the southern hospitality. The hostess took our name as we entered and informed us of a 10 minute wait. We strolled around for about 5 minutes, and we were called. The coffee came first nice and hot, then the buttery warm biscuits. Our meal was plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend this location for quality food, excellent service and timeliness.

A warm and cozy meal on a cold snowy night! The French toast was the perfect mix of sweet and savory and the biscuits served at the beginning of the meal were the star! The sausage was a bit tough but otherwise tasty. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and cleaned the table she was seating us at when she noticed (before seating us) that it was still dirty. Yay for breakfast for dinner.

I came here for my birthday. We had an excellent server. She was very kind & made us feel special as soon as she greeted us! It was a Saturday morning so there was a wait of 20 minutes & the establishment was bustling. I love all the rustic vintage decor they have displayed. I usually always get the grandma's sampler but I decided to try their breakfast burger since we were in between menus at the time. For drinks, we had the strawberry pitcher for 3 of us & it served everybody twice. I felt very special already from the server's kindness and then she surprised me with a warm, thick, chocolate brownie with some vanilla ice cream. Both were delicious & rich!

Came to Cracker Barrel at around 11 am on a Sunday. Parking lot was decently crowded, as was the restaurant but when we walked in we were told there was no wait. We were seated immediately and handed both a breakfast and lunch menu. Soon we were helped and we ordered drinks. Things were quite lively so it took a bit of time for our waitress to get to us but we soon were able to order. Food came out quickly as you can expect at a Cracker Barrel! Everything was great. I got fried shrimp, and tried their new onion chips? These were delicious but the standout was the comeback sauce. Also always affordable! Since it as a Sunday morning, things were lively with a lot of post-church goers. And there were a lot of Halloween items in stock in the adjacent store. Always a fun time!

There are very few Cracker Barrel's in Connecticut so since we were in the area we had to stop. I've been once before, but this was my mom's very first time. It was a busy Saturday, we had a 20 minutes wait. We had time to check out the general store before we waited which has so many cute things from clothing, soap, gifts, candy, and so much more. During this time, we saw a sign that said if you signed up for Cracker Barrel's rewards program you could get a free shareable appetizer. We were called to the dining room once our table was ready. It was packed, but service was very quick and our server was great. They gave us the lunch menu and breakfast menu since they serve breakfast all day. We ordered Country Fried Pickles for our appetizer and Country Fried Chicken with two sides and sawmill gravy for our lunch. Our meal arrived very fast. For my sides, I got mac and cheese and fried okra. My mom got fried okra and dumplings. I grew up on Country Fried Chicken and it hit the spot. The sawmill gravy was so good and they gave us a huge bowl to share. The pieces of chicken were huge which we both took half of our meals home. Overall, despite being busy, we had a great lunch at Cracker Barrel. Don't let the crowds scare you, they flip tables fast! We also realized our lunch was very cheap after our bill came. We did get the appetizer for free since we signed up for the rewards, but our entrees were well worth the price with how much food we got. We spent a little over $30... A steal for a full-service restaurant.

I normally only come here for breakfast. Today I came for lunch and was generally dissatisfied with the food. The service was lackluster. The servers didn't seem too happy to be at work. The ambiance was fine. It wasn't too crowded. Our soda was flat. They had run out of some dipping sauce. The house salad, tenders and fries were just ok. I think I'll stick to breakfast only items next time.

We had lunch at this Cracker Barrel location in Milford CT and it was a great experience. We've dined here before but I don't think I've ever completed a review so here we go. The ambiance was bustling with a lot of people dining on the weekend but I thought we were called to sit pretty quickly. We walked in although it was crowded we sat within 10 mins. Waitress bought we our drinks and took our order. The staff were friendly, prompt and attentive. I'm not sure about these take our 1 star reviews but for the most part our experience here has always been great. My wife had the steak and for me, the Barrel burger. The Mac and cheese was outstanding- wow !! Both were cooked to perfection and the service was quick. We highly recommend !!

The place is a classic country style type food, I personally enjoy eating at this place but this is the first time I get takeout. The place was beyond busy because I had the brilliant idea of going there on Father's Day, the wait time was endless and so we decided to opt for to go food thinking it would be faster..... WRONG! ... took such a long time, I'm pretty sure we would have been next, if we would have stayed a little longer. Anyway, waiting isn't terrible when you have a store full of fun trinkets, nostalgic toys and classic sweets.. which of course we partook. The food was placed in this really cool giant box, so big it looked like I was carrying a pet or something there lol ... They gave us one of the drinks we ordered so I had to swim back inside through the sea of people to get the drink they forgot, no big deal, the staff was super helpful and friendly . My food was ok, I had asked for country fried chicken, which is what I usually get.. with extra gravy and of course I didn't get it, and that's the downfall of taking things to go because I can't just ask for it if it's missing, and honestly that gravy is heavenly so not having much of it, was a huge disappointment. The chicken was a little dry and the mashed potatoes were even more dry, the Mac and cheese was a bit flavorless and a bit runny too. I know it was a busy busy day, Sunday AND Father's Day, deff double wham but I was hoping to at least enjoy a yummy meal at home and unfortunately, that's not what I got, I will still go in person but won't be taking food to go anymore so if you can sit and have a meal there, go for it and if you can't, don't order to go and just come back another time lol.

Stopped in to wait out a rain storm. We were seated quickly and got our (alcoholic!) drinks quickly as well. Server was friendly and accommodating by letting me sub a few things. My loaded sweet potato was HUGE and awesome but missing the candied pecans. Decor is like every Cracker Barrel, ye olde farm house vibes. Would definitely visit this location again.

When did it get this expensive? $4 coffee, $16 farm raised trout with two sides, prompting for additional tip at the register?

Steak is better now. Get the 10oz new york strip. Too bad you have to order all sides individually. They used to be included.

I have been wanting to try the viral Lobster Bomb at Stone Ridge for years, literally YEARS, and…read morelet me tell you... it was absolutely worth every single penny and the wait. If you're a lobster lover, this is your moment. Rich, buttery, packed with flavor, and indulgent in the best way. It's one of those dishes you think about long after you leave. All the way up until warming up the left overs. No regrets. Not one. For the kids, the steak medallions were such a good deal. Generous portion, cooked perfectly, and paired with really good fries (because yes, fry quality matters). Clean plate club status achieved. Now let's talk dressing. I am a dressing snob, and the green goddess? It was great. Fresh, herbaceous, creamy without being heavy. I would absolutely buy that by the bottle. Dessert sealed the deal. The brownie was that warm, ooey-gooey, stick-to-your-fork kind of brownie. Topped with yummy ice cream melting into all the chocolate goodness. Exactly what you want when you order a brownie. no dry edges, no disappointment. The decor is beautiful:warm, inviting, upscale but still comfortable. Service was great with genuine smiles. They checked in consistently without hovering, and shoutout to Ezekiel in the parking lot for such a kind welcome right from the start. First impressions matter, and they nailed it. I can only imagine how gorgeous this place must be on a summer night. We will absolutely be back to explore more of the menu. I'll get a photo of the front and patio next time!

I had been eagerly awaiting the seasonal opening of this once-great neighborhood spot. In fact,…read morewhen I bought my home just two blocks away, knowing I could walk to The Lazy Lobster was honestly a small factor in my decision. Their lobster bisque and lobster rolls were a true treat, worth traveling for. I still remember my son walking in wearing a Staples lacrosse shirt, and one of the owners immediately saying, "Staples in the house!" We found out he was an alumnus. The owners were genuinely passionate about great food, and it showed. The following year, after I bought my house, I noticed the restaurant had been completely renovated. I asked if it was under new ownership. They said yes, but assured me the chef was the same. One spoonful of the bisque confirmed it, the recipe hadn't changed. Fast forward to this season. I couldn't wait for them to reopen. The delay made sense since they had expanded into the former paddleboard shop and undergone another major renovation. So I eagerly ordered my favorite lobster bisque... to go. A bowl was $18 because it was listed as "market price." Since when is lobster bisque market price? I figured maybe it was loaded with chunks of lobster. It wasn't. That alone wouldn't have bothered me if the soup had still been the incredible bisque I remembered. Instead, the recipe was completely different. It seems the renovation also meant losing the original chef, and unfortunately, that chef was the real reason many of us kept coming back. I'm genuinely disappointed. The original Lazy Lobster felt like a place built around serving exceptional food. This new version feels more like an operation focused on recouping a renovation investment through higher prices. It's a sad change for what was once one of the true gems of this charming neighborhood.
