Absolutely abhorrent service! I walked in and two of the waitstaff made gestures towards and laughed. And even though my mother and I were the only waiting to be seated, it took wayyy too long, it was super awkward! Then when I sat down I brushed a barely living fly off of the seat! And yeah there were flys all around where we sat! And when I ordered food, and inquired about what the sausages were, I was slyly ridiculed, with the response "they're normal" forcing me to press the waiter to know what meat I was ordering. Same thing happened with the eggs, she snarked at me when I asked for my scrambled eggs to be firm and not runny. The food took forever to come. My French toast was so barren in the flavor department, It may as well have dropped the "French" part of the toast. My eggs were watered down. Everyone around was getting noticeably better, faster, and wayyy friendlier service. Food was overpriced. Weird music was playing. The milk was good. I do not know if I was treated this because I was wearing a button up and a blazer or the fact that I had long dyed hair as a man, or a combination of the two. 67 Family Diner has reopened and expanded. The recovery from last years flood gave them the opportunity to renovate and upgrade the dining area. It looks very nice, all on one level, more open and inviting. I had tuna salad club, very tasty and generous servings, more than I could eat. Hubby had Greek salad with chicken. Looks so good! Very generous servings with lots of great ingredients. He say the chicken was tender. If you want anchovies you need to ask for them. The corn beef hash this time around looked and tasted like the mushy canned hash and I paid over $7 for it. My grits did not come with the raisins and the other things it said. When you order French toast online you can't get fruit but you can with the waffle and pancakes. Makes no sense. I also ordered a tuna sandwich and it was fishy and not appetizing at all. Newly reopened and wonderful. After fully remodeling following the disastrous flood of 2024 the diner is fresh, modern and comfortable. The menu seems essentially the same but the interior has been entirely renovated. The staff, while new, are helpful, courteous and learning. The food is just as delicious as ever! This place has a lot of potential. The interior renovation is modern which is great, but sooo much grey, no warmth. The worst thing about the ambiance is the "frosty" cold white lightbulbs. They are awful and even looking in from outside, those "cold" white lights are not welcoming or cozy. Change them out for the "warm" toned bulbs, it would make such difference!! They have a "Help Wanted" sign in the front window and they sure can use the help inside. My brother and I had lunch here today, and I felt bad for our server. She was sweet as could be, and she tried very hard to do everything she had to do, but she was a bit over matched with the workload. Things like bringing over set ups, messing up the French Fry order, and forgetting to bring over twice requested "to go" boxes were really minor annoyances, but they did seem to identify a trend. My brother's burger with sweet potato fries came out as a burger with regular fries. My brother didn't want to make a fuss, so he let it slide. To her credit, she did realize her mistake five minutes later and asked if he wanted replacement fries, which he declined. On the positive side, my Chef Salad was very good and had a nice portion of ham, roast beef and turkey spirals on the plate. 67 Family has a big menu and even a picky eater in your family should find something to eat. Went to the diner this morning, the first time after its unfortunate floods last year. It is beautifully remodeled. The ambience inside is very warm. It does not have a cold diner feel. The staff were extremely attentive. I had the Eggs Benedict Florentine. The hollandaise was delicious. I would highly recommend visiting this family owned business. We ordered the Classic Cheese Burger Platter with raw onion and the Bacon Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries oppose to French Fries. I assumed there was a substitution charge even though it is not on the menu $1.29 (within reason). My complaint is the $.89 charge for a SLICE of raw onion also not noted on the menu. In all the restaurants I have been to if there was a charge for extra items i.e. lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese etc. The highest price I have come across was $.50 which is reasonable. Even the $1.25-$1.50 for extra bacon is acceptable, but $.89 for ONE slice of raw onion that's crazy! Also, this is not the first time I have been to this restaurant. Wife and I arrived on 7/20/24 for breakfast. Hostess guided us to a booth near the front window and gave us menus. Took us barely a minute to decide what we wanted, closed the menus and waited for several minutes. Another couple came in and sat directly across from us. A waitress immediately showed up and took their orders for coffee. Same waitress delivered coffee to other couple and took their order. She briefly looked over at us but completely ignored us and left. Several minutes later we are still waiting. I looked up to try to contact somebody, but no waitresses around. The hostess at the front desk was nowhere to be found. We got up and left. We have been to this diner about a dozen times a year over the lat 4 years. Food was always OK, but service has always been spotty. This final total disregard for your customers just cost you 2 who will never return. read more

Order was written wrong by waitress and came with rye toast which I don't eat. Apologies from waitress who went to replace with the white toast I ordered. 12 minutes later I finally got up found the server asked for the toast she obviously had forgotten. Even though the eggs were ice cold bacon not cooked as ordered which might have been corrected if she had ever come back to see if we were fine or needed a refill we understand that mistakes happen.......but when she never once offered an apology and had another server bring me my check and went into hiding that was another level of ignorance and immaturity. Used to go here in high school and even then there was rude staff who had even commented on my weight. I stopped going and went back a couple weeks ago, everything was "ok" but a lot of mistakes and I ended up with the wrong order completely. Went again yesterday for breakfast and was disappointed yet again. I ordered my eggs to be sunny side up and I understand that the yolk will be runny...exactly as I want, but I expect the whites to be fully cooked. I received two extra runny eggs in which the whites were badly cooked. I alerted my server as this is disgusting and unsafe and was told "well that's how sunny side eggs are" and I tried explaining that I know what they are and that the whites are supposed to be fully cooked. I told her I'd like to not pay for the eggs since they're undercooked and I had been turned off from the meal entirely and it had gotten on my home fries. She refused to do so, so here I am. I did get food poisoning from it and will never be returning. Don't waste your money on sub-par undercooked food just make the drive a little longer for better service and food. I ordered a breakfast bowl. It came out with way over cooked with the cheese on top hard and crusted. I sent it back and they sent it out the same. the service was good and price fine. I gave this Diner two stars because the staff was great and attentive. As for the food, I was not pleased at all. Given the fact that this is a diner, I will be generous. 1. The coffee was okay but the mug arrived dirty and the spoon had leftover food from what I imagine to be the previous patron. 2. The Mexican eggs Benedict omelet was just not good at all. The mix of ingredients was just off. I returned the food before taking a picture and honestly, be glad I did. 3. The eggs were partially uncooked. I know over easy is borderline but come on!
