Went on July 4th for late breakfast. The server warned us up front that they were short staffed in the kitchen because most of their kitchen staff had called out. The service was slow, as she had predicted, and when the meal did come out, it arrived in two halves, with three of our party getting just part of our orders, and one not getting anything. It was 15 minutes before the rest of the order came out. But then the manager came by and said she was comping our order. Nice! We didn't expect that. We went here for brunch. When you walk in you will realize this is not your typical ihop. You walk in your greeted and seated promptly. I ordered the grinch pancakes and eggs and sausage. Place looks great, and waiting staff friendly, horrible chef however. After 15 minutes waiting for our order, the chef refused to make our order claiming they were no longer serving from that menu. We order something from the other menu, only asked if the chicken could be grilled instead of fried and he denied doing any kind of changes to a dish to accomodate us. Very very very slow service here. I deliver for the company Doordash & every time I go in there it takes me at least 10-15 minutes just to get greeted and then another 10 waiting for food when it was supposed to be ready when I arrived. One experience I had was a server ask me what time Doordash stops delivering from IHop because the timing was ridiculous. read more

Employees came into my work last week to sample coffee and tell us they were open. I went this morning shortly after 6 am and the doors were locked with no lights on inside. The only signage with any statement about their hours is the big lighted sign that says open 24 hours. Guess I won't find out if they are any good if they aren't open on weekday mornings. read more

Me and my family went in on a short Sunday morning for breakfast. When we first entered the diner the feel of the place was not good. The hostess has obviously been crying and was havn a bad day. Seating us was not soenthing she looked forward to doing . She didn't treat us just grabbed menus and sat us kn the middle booth next to the counter and we asked her if we could have another table becasue the cold air from the door was blowing on an infant we had with us and she said I will get a manager and never did so we just sat there. Our waitress was pretty nice . Nothing to write home about . It was obvious she didn't want to be there . When asked if I've coffee was free refills she just said " I don't really care yoh can have it " I politely told her please charge me if that's the rule . The food took about 40 minutes to come out and we didn't see the server in that time until we went to the counter and asked if our food was comming soon . Turns out she forgot to enter it in the computer so it wasn't even started yet. She didn't apologize or act like she really cared . She just said I forgot to enter your order so injust did and it should be out soon. We boxed most of it up because by now we had been here an hour and the infant with us was getting agitated from sitting in the cold breeze so long. I am a server and I also dine out often . This was not a very pleasant exsperience . However I will suck it up to a bad day and return . I visit the ihop in Glenn burnie often . Karen always takes care of me read more

Went here at 12:30 pm on a Saturday. I'm claustrophobic so I asked for a booth. They tried to seat me at a small table between two larger parties. I ordered the potato soup and a cheeseburger. I was originally told they had chicken noodle soup, but that was incorrect. My silverware was too dirty to use. The replacements weren't much better. My cup of soup came out less than half full. My burger was way too thin, like when the cook wants to cook it quickly instead of correctly. A large piece of the burger (about a fourth of it) apparently fell off during cooking. It was placed on top of the rest of the burger and served to me that way. My drink was empty before I was halfway done with my meal. It was never refilled. I had get up and ask the manager to help get my check bc my server hadn't been seen in over 15 minutes (smoke break much). The onions on the burger were also not fresh. Went here to celebrate Father's day a day early with my 18 month old son, and my wife. It wasn't very busy and there were plenty of vacant booths. After asking us if we needed a highchair, they immediately forgot about us, and it wasn't until they noticed me standing around with my son several minutes later that they brought one. We sat down and waited to be served for another 20 plus minutes, and were passed numerous times by staff. We walked out and went elsewhere because we were being ignored, but at least they thanked us on the way out. It is unlikely that we will go back. read more

Subpar food, crappy service and even crappier management. My party of 7 arrived at 1:30 this afternoon and waited 10 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that was only half full. After placing drink orders, we were told by our server, Lee, that the only hot tea bags available out of the myriad of choices was Earl Gray. Not my fave so I opted for coffee. After the carafe was bright to the table, we asked for cream. 10 minutes later we were brought a whopping 2 mini singles of irish cream flavored creamer for the whole entire table. Lee said there was no coffee creamer left in the restaurant. A hot chocolate ordered without whipped cream was brought to the table with you guessed it, whipped cream. Lee apologized and said he'd bring out another cup. Well, after 15 minutes later we then put in our food orders and asked Thomas the host for a manager. Thomas advised he wasn't sure the manager would come but he'd try to "fetch" him. No manager came. When Lee brought the corrected hot chocolate we asked him to please have the manager come to the table. 10 more minutes passed before the manager Ryan, came out. We advised we'd like coffee creamer and received a myriad of excuses of why they were out and why no one could even go walk 3 stores over to Aldi to get creamer as they didn't expect a delivery of creamer in the restaurant until Sunday. "I can't leave my workers. No one else has a car. It's raining. Oh, I planned to go when the 2nd manager arrived. We can just melt whipped cream in your coffee. How about 2%milk?" Incredulous to think a breakfast restaurant is going to continue to keep serving coffee the remainder of the day without offering creamer. We waited and Lee periodically said "oh only 5 more minutes" to walk back around 10 minutes later and make the same exclamation "your food should be ready in 5 minutes." Over 1 hour from when we were seated we were served our food. Lukewarm fries, dry cheeseburgers, congealed eggs, and 2 breakfast platters without pancakes. Unsatisfied with the length of time for our food to arrive and condition as well, again we asked for manager Ryan who advised our order was only put in 16 minutes from when we received it because our server hadn't put the order in. Yup, he threw his employee under the bus. With arms crossed in a defensive stance he said he'd comp our meal which was all well and good but there was never an apology offered for the service. Don't bother patronizing an establishment where you'll wait hours for mediocre food and has management that needs to go to customer service 101. I'm still apalled this Ryan guy never apologized nor offered solutions to rectify the situation but yet he put his employee in a bad light. read more

Possibly the worst service received (not received) ever. My wife and I went here for breakfast on December 18, 2021 and it was a little less than half full so not really busy. We sat down and our server came over and took our order after about 10 minutes. We placed our drink order and our breakfast order all at once. As we sat there waiting, we watched quite a few tables sit down and receive their food. They had a different server than us so we believe it was a server issue. As we continued to wait, we kept looking around to see if we could see our server and we never saw her which is why we are certain the issue we had was with our server and not the kitchen. After waiting over 25 minutes for our food, we finally decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Of course as soon as we were done talking with a manager, our food came out in the hands of our server. I really shouldn't even call her a server because she didn't really do anything expected from a server. We expected short staffing issues due to Covid but this wasn't a short staffing issue. This was an "our server sucked at her job" issue. If you are looking for a place to sit and starve and not get service then this is the place you want. It Looks great clean and even has a barista/coffee stand. Took my daughter here for dinner, We were the only ones in there besides another couple, that already had paid their check. We Ordered our drinks only and waited 20 minutes for a plain decaf coffee (not a specialty coffee ) because the barista wasn't in and it was old coffee. We finally got our food 30 minutes later and my bacon was burnt to a crisp and something red was dribbled all over my pancakes. I ordered them plain, looked like they put strawberries syrup on them and wiped it off. My daughters food was fine and when I went to pay I checked in on here to use the 20% coupon & they told me it couldn't be used bcuz the kids plate was free. It took another 40 minutes to get lukewarm and dried out pancakes. They must have been short staffed because there were 10 tables not even being used despite the crowd waiting in the lobby and servers were running around like crazy. Upon pulling into the parking lot, I wasn't sure if the place was opened or not. The IHOP sign's and lights were very dim and there was a huge congregation of people loitering outside the front door that I assumed it was closed. As we got closer, I could see individuals inside. We had a great experience here today! It's Fathers Day weekend, so we anticipated a busy visit, but it was actually very light! There was a woman walking around making balloon animals and she was the perfect addition to our overall visit. She took time to make balloons for our kids, compliment our family and acknowledge my husband! All very unexpected! Our sever was Vanessa and she clearly explained menu items and patiently waited on us and provided all of our requests! The food came out fast and hot and the coffee bar is awesome!
