My husband went to celebrate Fathers Day with our kids yesterday Sunday JUNE 21ST. The service was terrible. They sat for 15 minutes before anyone even asked what they wanted to drink. Mind you, the lobby was empty. 30 minutes into their visit they asked what the wanted to order. 15 mins or so later, still NO FOOD. The waiter said they were too backed up on to go orders. Still as they wait, the bartender noticed they still had not brought out their food. She went back there and their food had been sitting there. Brought to the table not even in the slightest warm. All cold. Then the check got dropped on the table. My husband ordered bottomless wings. No one came back to even ask if he wanted more NOTHING. My son never got his fries that came with his meal. Pulled into parking lot, only a few cars there thought it might be closed. It was open. Walked into the lobby and was nearly knocked over by the smell of natural gas. I asked if there was a leak and the man/woman server said everyone is saying that but it's just the heater. I told the person that this amount of gas is not normal at all. Walked to table, only one other table in use. We had to leave before we sat down because of overwhelming natural gas smell. I can't imaging working for hours in there, people will be sick. read more

We stopped in after 10 hours of driving, so hungry and tired that I forgot to get pictures of anything. The dining room is clean, well-lit and welcoming. Our server, Sydney, was a delight. The restrooms are clean, bright AND (this is major) the paper towel dispenser actually gives you enough paper towel to dry your hands with ONE SHEET. The only faults I can name are these: 1. my waffle had several black spots in it (this is from not wiping crumbs out of the waffle iron) and 2. the fried potatoes just weren't that good. Dave had the turkey dinner and felt the turkey was dry, the garlic toast was delicious, the broccoli was amazing and his pancake was perfect. We'd definitely stop here again. read more

Shelby was my waiter when I stopped in during my road trip from Cali to NY. One of the best dining experiences I had, it was a nice quiet little ihop in the middle of Arkansas before I hit the mountains and Tennessee. Great conversation and I felt very invited by the friendly and accommodating staff. I stayed about an hour and a half and it prepared me to hit the road again fully fed and fully caffeinated. Just finished having a great breakfast; beautifully presented, tasty, and fresh. I noticed that since we were here last they have completely upgraded their menu design and food choices. The dining room and bathroom were both cleaner than before to. The only thing that would fall under poor service was that when we came in, I had to go to the kitchen door and yell to see if anyone was there. I came into iHop on a Sunday morning after an all night trudge through sleet and snow to Russellville, AK and was met with the most wonderful service by our waiter, Shelby. We were spoiled as we had never been spoiled before! Would do the 12 hour drive from the highest pt in Colorado over again just to experience Shelby's attentiveness and lovely Harry Potter mask again. This place was disgusting. We were sat in the back room and waited 35 minutes for our drinks. There was food, cups, and creamer cups all over the floors. When we finally got our food it was all cold, and then we had to wait to get silverware brought to us so we finally could eat. When she did she didn't introduce herself, just a "what do you want to drink?" We told her. Took 5 mins to get drinks. We were ready to order. Once she brought us our drinks, she just went to another table to take their order. We waited another 10 mins for her to show up to take our order. She took the order. Our drinks were empty. Another waitress came by to ask if we wanted refills. We said yes. Instead of just filling our refills, she informed our waitress. 5 mins go by and our waitress came by and said "i was told you wanted refills, is that right?" The ice in our were melted and obviously empty. We told her yes. She refilled our drinks. 10 mins later another waitress (now waitress #3) brought my food and looked at us and asked "is this all y'all ordered?" We said "no my wife had ____". 5 mins later my wife's food was brought by a food runner. The food was cold, like it was sitting since the place opened up. We had to stare at our food for a while because we didn't have silverware. We had to flag someone down for silverware. My wife ended up not eating her meal because it was cold. We boxed it up to take with us. We were given our ticket. We gave our original waitress our credit card. She ran the card and she (no joke) stood over my shoulder watching how much of a tip we were going to give her. I left her a dollar and we left. I've never had service this bad in my life. ***UPDATE*** Talked to Joe. He refunded our money and is giving us 20% off our ticket on our next visit. Issue is resolved. Don't waste your time. Was just at this location (8/15/17 10:15am) While waiting to be seated (no one at host stand/cashier counter) a man came up to pay his bill. He was upset about the "worst service he'd ever received here." I was hesitant to just walk out the door, but gave it a try. The lady that seated me yelled across the restaurant for the guy's server to ring him up, "NOW!" Apparently she wasn't interested in keeping it on the down low from the rest of the customers. This is probably one of our worse experiences at an IHOP We have ever had. We eat at IHOP often and my sister, her friend and I went and on our girls night and they almost ruined our night just of how terrible it was. Our service was horrible, our food was awful. This morning we all 3 woke up and the roofs of our mouths are sore because the bread on our sandwiches was just so hard, the ham was rubber, on our friends plate only half of her sandwich had egg on it. I would have rated them a -10 if I could but I had to put one star to be able to comment. But needless to say we will never be going back here again. No one is manning the hostess station, and despite three different employees walking by and seeing me standing there waiting to be seated no one so much as met My eyes. I walked out eventually because based on other reviews showing a 20 minute wait to get your drink order filled, and other saying service was nonexistent and that the staff seemed to not want to help you, I decided that I was only asking for trouble by waiting around for a seat. Management and employees in this location need serious training on customer service. This is the worst IHOP location I have been too. I'm only half way through my meal here and already have to write a review. My party of 6 and I arrived and put our name on the wait list as there were about 4 or 5 parties already waiting. Looking into the restaurant about 1/3 of the tables were empty. But staffing may have been an issue, so we wait. Every party in front of us was seated within 10 minutes. Then a few more seated that arrived after us. The were parties of 2 and 4, so I get that...no problem. We then waited another 30 minutes.....no one called our name. So I took a meandering look through the restaurant and noted only 2 six top tables. One of them was full and they appeared to have just gotten there food. The second had 2 people sitting at it....just finishing their meal. Cool, we will be sat soon!!! Nope!! The people did leave but the table sat dirty for 10 minutes. The busboy was just walking around doing nothing. I asked the person who checked us in how much longer...she said she didn't know. I told her that a six top had opened up and just needed cleaning. She said OK....10 minutes later the table was still dirty. I asked her again and she said they will clean it soon. Another 5 minutes...still nothing. The bus boy and a second bus boy went to clean another table together...talking and laughing with each other. I told the lady that I would clean the table...she was quite annoyed, as if I was bothering her. It took another 10 minutes before we were finally seated. I told the lady 'thank you' and she just grunted at me. Keep in mind that this place was half empty when we were seated. This is very poor customer service. The manager seemed to not give one care in the world!! I only gave it 2 stars because Pancakes are the bomb. read more

We travel and look for food establishments we have had success with during our years of goings. Not since a IHOP in I believe Townsend TN had we experienced such a all around bad experience. We entered and it looked as though there were no more than 20 customers and we asked if we minded waiting while they cleaned a place to be seated. Upon getting into the dinning area there was countless open seating. We ordered a meal and as in every IHOP we explain we split every meal and ordered our choice. In what was a reasonable time the food arrived and with out a spare plate and my bride had to ask if we could have another plate? Then I sat for a bit and waved down our server, waiter who seem to be out of site for a period of time and I asked if we could get warm maple syrup? He acted as if he had never herd of such a thing but said OK I will get some. We had managed to eat 1/2 of our meal less the pancakes and still no syrup and still no server in site I approached the front counter and explained what we had asked of the server and he seemed to vanish. She politely said she would check into it Shortly she appeared with a saucer like you would get cottage cheese or coleslaw in and it was hot. She said he was heating the syrup in the microwave. I said we eat at a lot of IHOP'S and always get warm syrup in the same pictures and always maple for the pancakes, and she said "Oh not at IHOP". We left a reasonable tip but I decided to review this place and we understood why it was near empty on a beautiful Saturday. read more

The food was decent and that is the only reason I'm giving two stars. We arrived at 12:30 to an empty restaurant but had to wait 15 minutes in the lobby for table set up. It then took 50 minutes for our food to arrive. There were about 4 different families that walked out due to the long wait. Keep in mind there were only 7 small groups in the entire restaurant.
