Very busy on weekends better during the week. The food is fresh hot and delicious. The staff are very efficient and polite.

Waitress Couldn't even understand what I was telling him , breakfast came and other half didn't so you couldn't eat your meal right .. at that served half of our food and sat down before even finishing giving our food .. never even got my completed meal !!!!! I even had to ask 3 times for a new drink and in the beginning when he first served us our drinks he gave double drinks that we said 3 times wasn't ours and still charged us !!!! i went to ihop with my coworkers on a thursday morning at 9am, there were 6 of us in total. our waitress (she was a bit older, to provide context, but i digress) greeted us and we got some waters for the table. upon arrival of the waters, the waitress spilled one of the glasses of water on the table. She cleaned it up and things were fine, but we asked if we could do separate checks, she was...passive aggressive but nice at the same time? we saw that she was frustrated with us asking for separate checks so we just decided to do one check for the table to make things easier, she definitely let us know that was her preference. she brought everyones food out except for one of us and stated that it will be out soon. i think we waited for about 15-20 minutes for the last dish to arrive, not sure if she just forgot but it was also getting busy and it looked like she was the only waitress or maybe there was one more so i wont fault her for that i guess. one of my coworkers was eating her breakfast sampler and found a hair in her food (picture attached), but again after waiting a while a different waitress came and offered to bring her a new plate. my other coworker also had found a hair in his food as well, not sure what part of the body the hair came from but idk what that says about their hygiene standards. we wanted to go to a new breakfast place instead of our regular place and it was pretty clear we shouldn't have strayed. i got the breakfast sampler, it was fine, i dont have complaints about my food, just the experience was enough to let us know not to return (not on thursday mornings at 9am at least). read more

I am not a fan of chain restaurants as a rule. IHops fill a little niche that kids love therefore I go to them. This one has gone downhill. Staff is harassed and gruff. Orders aren't right served with an "oh well" attitude. And the place itself needs a good cleaning. read more

I had to call 3 times just to get a person to take my order. The order was simple with just two breakfast faves combos. When I arrived, there was no host/hostess. I waited for about 5-6 minutes to even see somebody, she didn't even ask if I needed anything. I waited for plastic utensils for another 5 minutes just to be told they were out. I've been coming here for about 4 months now. Usually Sunday mornings. The food itself isn't bad at all. Hey, it's breakfast food, and it's hard to screw it up. 4 out of 5 stars here. I like the staff there. Everyone is attentive, and we haven't had a bad service there yet. 5 out of 5 stars here. The building is older and not very large. We usually get in quickly, but sometimes there is a short wait. If I had to rate the "worst" part of the restaurant, it would be the older building. Maybe walking through part of the servers area to use the bathrooms. But even that isn't bad. 3 out of 5 stars for the building. I will go back with no hesitation. read more

What a great experience! We wanted breakfast for dinner and iHop was the only place open. We were greeted by this wonderful hostess who told us about senior specials they run Tues/Thurs (I did the math and I qualify!). She was so great! Our waitress was so nice and thorough. Love this restaurant special early in the morning to get breakfast is one of the best fast foods ever eaten.

Have gone here twice with my boyfriend and the place is overall clean. I had two different servers one was a younger woman the other was older. The younger woman was alright she didn't really connect. The older woman was the best ! She was very sweet and laidback we tipped her good because of it! I always stick to pancakes because that's what I always get, which are always delicious! Though the turkey sausage (I can't eat pork) made me feel terrible after eating it! I had a terrible stomach ache and feel very nauseous after eating. And our first instance there (with the younger woman) their system was being difficult. My boyfriend had to spend money twice (the first time was refunded) yet still what if we didn't have money to spend twice.. just don't pay online it caused a lot of issues. Our second visit was okay though just won't be eating sausage from there again. read more

We have been frequent customers of IHOP for many many years and have enjoyed the food and service. But after yesterday visit we will NEVER go back again. As we were sitting waiting for our food to come out a MOUSE ran across the dinning area and the customers all were in shock and gasped in disgust and disbelief! My kids kept their feet off the floor and wanted to finish their pancakes, I wanted to walk out and NEVER return. The fact that there is active mice in the dinning area means there is 100's more during the evening! I am so disgusted and disappointed. read more

Most of the pancakes were burnt. This IHOP placed an unburnt pancake one on top of the burnt one and all the pancakes were cold. On the kid menu, The jr. chicken & waffles. the chicken fingers looks like already fried many times and very burnt. at first, the waitress insisted that how the chicken finger looks like. Came there with my friends and ended up paying $80 for 3 meals and 3 coffees. Couldn't figure out why what should have been an around $50 bill was $65. After I put my card down I realized my waitress did not return the itemized receipt and so I tipped on top of the gratuity that she added and did not inform us about. I don't believe it was only the waitress's fault because at every restaurant I've worked at, a manager is needed to add gratuity onto a bill. All I'm saying is, it may not be illegal to add gratuity but it is dishonest and unethical to not tell your customer and to let them end up tipping almost 40%. If you attend this IHOP, watch your pockets. read more

Its been a long time since I have been in an IHOP The pancakes were really good, I ordered a stack of grain and nut. The order came with 3 plate sized pancakes (9.49) which I was able to finish just 1. It could have fed 2-3 people. They were flavorful and seemed fairly healthy. The bottomless cup of hot coffee at $2.99 seemed a bit high but it was convenient that they left me a personal pot for refills on the table. read more

This place is so unorganized and disjointed. There were almost as many waitresses as there were customers but still took almost 40 mins from the time I was sat until I was given my food. My water sat empty for almost 15 mins... a lot of the waitress were just talking and looking at their phones.. My waitress was very nice but the place seemed so chaotic for having so few people dining in. I gave it a 3 because my food was actually really good. Would be open to returning in the future as long as I wasn't in a rush. read more

But there is a little old lady her name I don't remember has seen me many times and unfortunately we have her waiting on us, unfortunately because we don't eat anything we should not have to react this way.(but her nose is always dirty with fly away boogers; if we ask for something she complains or says with a face of shock there is nothing I can do, she should wear a mask it's better for the establishment, we won't see her dirty nose or facial expressions). Dennis and I stopped in here at my request, as I saw that they were advertising carrot cake pancakes on the TV. I just LOVE CARROT CAKE so I dragged his arse here. We get up early and was there on a Sunday AM before 9:00am. It was busy but we got a table straight away. My carrot cake pancakes were actually pretty yummy. I was actually surprised. Real carrot, raisins, and walnuts. I also got eggs and bacon, and 2 sausages, which I saved 1 for Jackie who was waiting out in the car. The place was very clean, and the food came out fast. IHOP in Salem NH is chaos and very unorganized. There are people packed inside like sardines (shoulder to shoulder) and people are waiting for food for over an hour. They are allowing a very unsafe environment to occur with regards to the Corona Virus and social distancing. You can't even tell them you arrived for curbside takeout as they won't answer the phone and don't have an online check-in. Do not order takeout from here unless you want to take the risk of getting sick. The business should be fined for allowing this to occur. This is not the employees fault and there is not even close to enough help. There should be a manager managing this chaos and telling people to wait outside. Shame on IHOP!! read more

Not crowded at all when my party of three went into the restaurant. Given a table immediately and then the waiting game began. Over 10 minutes for a waitress to come over. The waiting time is long but never really minded, until today when I heard the server "Mark" talking to not one but two different tables where he let his friends skip the line. And his friends were laughing at the fact that he allowed them to skip the line. Meanwhile the wait today was almost an hour, with many families with young kids waiting in the waiting area/lobby. Hidden Gem!!! We were greeted by a smiling male and brought to our seats. The Restaurant was highly decorated for Halloween with lots of cute decorations. Our server had a cute Halloween bow and was very nice, attentive and accommodating. I like a HOT cup of coffee and to my delight, it was brought in a little, double walled, steel pot placed on our table keeping it piping hot throughout my meal. The menu was huge with lots of selections. We both had omelets with pancakes. My husband had the big steak (which he inhaled) and I had the pesto egg white. The portions were HUGE and very tasty and even though I wasn't hungry I devoured it. My pancakes were protein lemon with lemon-blueberry ricotta which was just delicious. The meal was fast, hot and spectacularly served. Since I like breakfast any time of the day - we will definitely be back! It was a great, tasty experience! read more
