Wish I could choose lower than a 1 star - Server treated us like we were an inconvenience. 6 adults out for a 92 year old's birthday - one order for the 12oz filet was actually a 12 oz sirloin, seeing as everyone else's meals were accurate, I did not ask to have it taken off the bill or a new one made, just asked to be charged for the correct steak and was not; instead of being charged for the 12 oz sirlion was charged for the 16oz. 3 people still with 1/3 to 1/2 of their meals on their plates and server started clearing all plates and asked if we wanted dessert. came back 5 minutes later, 3 people still eating and brought the bill and removed some of the serving dishes from in front of people still eating. We were at the table for slightly over and hour, not lingering, still actively eating. I did approach the manager about the situation and she asked what she could do, but at that point, we were all disgusted and had decided we would not be back any time soon, so we declined any offers. Changing my rating because Thiago rushed a very sentimental last dinner between my sister and I before I move. I consistly come here with family and this was one of the worst experiences I've had at a texas roadhouse. He made it very clear he wanted us to leave and put the card reader to pay right in front of me when I'm very aware of how to cash out. My sister even apologized to me after which should never be the case after a dinner somewhere. I hope you guys figure this out because it's been bugging me for days. You're paying for an experience as well as the food and this was really sad. read more

We check the wait on the app and get ourselves on the waitlist. It is great not to have to wait long as you hear people being told the wait is 30-40 minutes on busy weekend nights. Thus last visit, I used the option to get a free appetizer or sidekick order of shrimp or ribs. I went for the ribs and they were delicious. Being a loyalty member and using your app works to your advantage when going to this chain of restaurants. Food is consistent and drinks are good. Service can depend on how busy they are. During my most recent visit, I saw our server when he took the order and asked about the bill. I saw him running around the place busy and my meal was good so all good. read more

We went in one night for drinks after a long week only to find they'd been out of all beers except bottled Heineken for weeks. Ok. We ended up going elsewhere. They gave me a $30 GC to come back. I took my family and they brought my gf's salad but not mine. I had to ask what happened. I got some runaround about how he'd put it in as an employee meal. He was so busy flirting w my gf's daughter that I feel like he wasn't fully there. Then the salad comes out with my dinner. Ok. Great. I tried to warn her she didn't want to know - considering this experience and my last were very poor. She insisted, so I told her. I said I do not want another GC because I never intend to step foot in there again. This wasn't an empty threat to "get free stuff". I had had it. I'll tell anyone who'll listen about this story. I ordered prime rib rare as I usually do. It came basically raw with a little bit of charring around the edges. The waitress did not come to check on us until we were almost done our meals. She offered to take it back but it was too late to bother. I would have contacted the manager from home but there is nothing on their website to allow that. They had just opened and the servers were playing with a little ball trying to knock menus down. Been there 4 times, always had a problem, went there with 7 family members and 3 Filet Mignons were overcooked and had to go back.They were replaced but a manager never came to check the table because the family did not eat together. I popped by Texas Roadhouse this evening (Thursday) with some friends for a quick bite to eat. We LOVED our server Angie - she was so kind, checked on us at the perfect moments, and gave us extra butter for our to-go rolls. Even though it was packed, we only waited about 10 minutes for our table and our food came out within 20 minutes after ordering. I would come back for the service alone! I ordered potato skins and the Texas Peach Fuzz drink, both of which were very yummy, and my drink had the perfect amount of booze. My friends ordered ribs and steak dishes (overall 4/5) and one friend got a Cactus Water drink, which unfortunately she said had barely any liquor in it. Texas Roadhouse is always a good night out - steaks for all! Came here on a Tuesday night and it was a pretty packed house even at 8:20pm. My family and I enjoyed, way too much I might add, the complimentary bread and in-house made cinnamon honey butter. You can smell it when walking in at the hostess station. Compliments first off, to our server Sophia. She was very friendly and checked in on us a few times throughout our dinner. Service with a smile - even when she had to deliver disappointing news - the prime rib I wanted was sold out. Apparently medium rare is the favorite and that's what I really wanted but alas... Moving on. Did you know - you can pick your cut of meat and actually hand pick it from a display case? That makes this steakhouse different from the rest. Ribeyes for three of us - all medium rare. The 12 oz steaks were well seasoned, very tender and just enough fat around the edges to give you that marble goodness. Great minds think alike as we all ordered same sides as well - loaded baked potato or loaded mash. Someone ordered corn and mixed veggies. Eat your greens! (I opted for a Cesar salad as my second side). Each entree comes with two sides - rice, corn, fries, baked potato or mashed, sweet potato mash, mixed veggies or house/Cesar salad. Plenty of options. There was also a steak (sirloin) and shrimp combo that looked to be quite a deal so that was ordered. And of course, the kids size Mac and Cheese. (Looks to be the boxed Mac but still good). My kiddo likes that and for the first time, didn't finish her fries which came as a choice of side...I should mention, she ate like 4 rolls. I see my family once a year due to being stationed in the Army in North Carolina. I coordinated to sync up with my sister and her family who flew in from California. Before we all were to leave in the next few days, we decided to have one last big family dinner here to spend some time together. There was another location in Nashua, NH, but we settled with the Methuen, MA location. We made sure to call first thing in the morning right when they opened to let them know we wanted a reservation for 19 people. Our reservation was for 7:20 PM. Everyone arrived early and on time, but unfortunately, we still had to wait an additional 40 minutes to be seated. When our tables were finally ready, they gave us 4 booths and 3 servers to take care of us. As we sat down, another table was getting ready to check out. Since that table was a little bigger than ours, we asked if we could go take 2 booths to consolidate into 1 and just having 1 table and 2 booths, and the manager said no. The manager who never apologized for having us wait that 40 minutes and now couldn't even accommodate us to walk five steps over to a bigger table. Her answer was just "no," without any explanation. She even gave us attitude and a dirty look for the rest of the time we were there. She needs to be retrained or have someone more competent take her place. Our servers took our orders, got us our drinks, and appetizers. Refills were slow and the bread rolls were so dry that we didn't even want seconds. As time went by, appetizers were finished, and our children were getting antsy and complaining their stomachs hurt because they were hungry. I didn't know hot dogs and chicken tenders take over an hour to cook. My sister and parents who sat at the last end of the aisle came to my table and said they were done eating their food. I thought she was trying to be funny, but as I got up to walk over, she wasn't joking. All 4 people ate while 15 of us were still waiting for our meals. 9:30 PM rolls around and we were still waiting. At this point, enough was enough. I told my family that we couldn't wait any longer and to just pick up Chinese food on our way back home. We asked for the manager several times and told our servers to cancel the food that was ordered. It was way too late for anyone to eat. Like I told our server, who was truly sorry, I have been in the Army for over 18 years and we were just trying to have a nice family dinner. We were not there to walk out on any bill or cause any drama. We gladly paid for our drinks, appetizers, and food that was consumed. If you've read my review this far, please do yourselves a favor and avoid this restaurant. My advice for this location and its employees is to take this review seriously and figure out how to provide better service to their customers, how to be more efficient, and how to better react to situations like this in the near future. They lost out on over a $600 tab, and we are pretty good at tipping on top of gratuity. read more

We had a wonderful experience at The Texas Roadhouse in Methuen thanks our polite and attentive server,Emmanuel. We were seated right away and Emmanuel was right there taking our drink order. Our drinks came shortly thereafter and He answered all of our questions while he took our order explaining our different options. Our meals were quick to appear as Emmanuel made sure we had plenty of the delicious rolls and butter. The steaks were cooked perfectly and Emmanuel came by a few times to check on us. Wow, I just had a bad/good experience at TR in Methuen, MA. THE GOOD: The food. Steak was cooked perfectly (Dallas Filet). I complemented the cooks on that! THE BAD: THE SERVICE. And, wow, was it bad. I mean, who at TR teaches these kids to be a good waiter/waitress?? If it's the managers/supervisors- they failed. We were sat down, and the person taking us to our seat got the rolls and butter, took us to our seat, and just turned around and left. No utensils or napkin. We then sat there for what seemed like 5 minutes, and I finally got up and got our own utensils from the rack (passing 4 workers standing there talking, and no one noticed what i did! But there are no plates for the rolls. I watched that group of workers, and when one looked at me, I called them over to get plates. NO ONE NOTICED US OR ASKED TO HELP US. Our waiter finally came over, and it was pretty much normal after that... except... 1. One table over from us was that a person sat there after she got her check, holding up her check and a $100 bill for at least 5, almost 10 minutes. She finally paid with the small device on her table and left no tips! I watched her. 2. The table behind us kept talking about take-home boxes. No one offered it to them. Finally, the young daughter (maybe 12) walked up to the register area where they kept that stuff, grabbed what they needed, and brought it back to her table. She had to ask TWO workers (including someone with a purple shirt/supervisor) to move aside to get the take-home containers. 3. My wife and I sat there waiting for our food with empty drink glasses and finally had to call the waiter over for refills. So, who teaches these kids how to wait tables??? I'm not asking for white glove service. I want my waitstaff to notice we are missing utensils, when our drinks need refills, or when we are done eating, ask us if we need anything else! We started by unwrapping two steak knives still stained with mustard. I was then given a coffee mug with a large chip in the rim. All were sent back. I also sent back my side of green beans which was either from a can or just overcooked. It was my granddaughters bd, and, although she got a saddle ride and a hee-haw shout out, I had to pay for dessert. And coffee was $3.60 for a standard diner mug. Pleasantly surprised when we went recently on a busy weekend night to meet friends. My first time here & it was PACKED! Mrs. Haskell did the "call ahead" on her phone app, so once we all arrived it was only maybe a 15 minute wait in the mob. PRO- They got the rolls & drinks to us quickly. The rolls were good, hot & they gave us PLENTY of them. Big beers & good wine selection. Ward got the salmon & veggies & said it came out nice & hot (which due to the crowd we were not expecting). I had a very good Cesar salad to start & the small filet with a tasty, tender sweet potato, same as Mrs. Haskell. Mr. H did the rib eye & fries & ate every bite. Too full for dessert. Our server & the food runners did a good job moving everything along despite how busy it was. I felt the food was fairly priced as well. CON- I thought they used to have peanuts? Saw some in bags in buckets by the hostess stand but none were offered. Super loud inside. SO-Despite it being a chain & a mob scene we were very pleasantly surprised. We placed a large order for pick up on a Monday night. We ordered around 4:30pm for us to pick it up at 6:00pm. We were guaranteed it will allow them enough time to prepare our order. For some reason they were not taking orders for any appetizers and only orders for entrees which was a bit strange to all of us. They couldn't give us any reason behind why. They just couldn't apparently.. Okay. Anyways, we ordered about eight plates and a couple combos. I got there at 5:50pm and was aware I was a bit early so I waited in the car. At 6:00pm I go in stating I had a pick up. I was told to wait in my car until the order was ready... although I've specifically asked for my order to be picked up at 6pm. The order wasn't ready until 6:45pm... I specifically ordered their combo steak medium well with chicken fritters and my two sides being a cesar salad and steak fries. The steak was literally rock hard. It was so difficult cutting into it, never mind bitting into it. This was definitely a well done steak in which I did not order. Medium well steaks should have a hint of pink in the very middle of the steak. It should be stiff but still have a little squish in the center and I didn't have any of that. It was very stiff and hard all around... I had to throw the whole steak away because it was so hard to eat. I ended up mixing the chicken fritters into my cesar salad for dinner.. If I had known that, I would have just gotten a crispy chicken cesar salad rather than a combo. There was a problem with every plate and combo. If I wrote out everyone complaints on this review, this would turn into a novel. The only good part about this was their bread and butter. We definitely won't be coming back to this location again. I went here a few Saturdays ago and after looking for a parking spot and ended up down near the dollar store I rethought our dinner choice for the night thinking the service was going to be horrible and the wait was gonna take for ever and with a 6 month old. but to my surprise, we were in there within 10 minutes. Service was amazing. Food was fresh hot and came out so fast the manager was amazing came by our table a few times not only to say hello to our baby but to check on us. All the staff is so happy and friendly. It was a nice change from other chain restaurants we've been to lately.
