Went on a Sunday for brunch solo and easily sat at the bar! They had a patriots inspired drink for the superbowl and I thought it was really good! It had curaçao, rum and pineapple juice! Their corn beef hash isn't traditional but was still salty and flavorful and I really enjoyed the Monte madame! It had super small cubes of ham and the cheese sauce with the bread was so yummy! Pretty good food here. Service was great and attentive. Parking lot can get packed. We came here for lunch so it wasn't busy. The drinks for the flights are premade so it's not freshly done but overall it wasn't bad. I just think it's pricy we asked for just extra sriracha sauce and that was an extra charge. The portion size wasn't bad. I just think it's a little too pricy for a chain restaurant. read more

Service! 3 of us sat at the bar for breakfast last week. There were only 2 other people there but the waitress spent a lot of time chatting with other staff instead of working. We ordered and one order came out wrong. The bar waitress looked at her slip and said "oops my bad". They were pretty quick to replace it with the correct order. Food quality. Scant potatoes, barely any fruit (which was a substitute for home fries and an upcharge), breakfast sandwich was not hot. Btw, $17 for a simple bacon egg cheese sandwich. When we paid there was a $3 upcharge for some jelly that we never received. Again, waitress looked at her notes and said "my bad". Yup. Your bad. We've established that. Came to $70 for 3 not-fancy breakfasts, 2 coffees, no alcohol. The menu has also been reduced with many favorites removed and they won't make them.(yes-I asked) Wont be back unfortunately. read more

The Friendly Toast - Salem opened very recently at Tuscan Village. This very popular brunch restaurant serves breakfast all day plus plenty of brunch dishes, soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. They also have a full bar including mimosas, bloody marys, cocktails, mocktails, coffee/espresso drinks, tea, and non-alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere inside is hipster fun and upbeat with plenty of colorful decor throughout the dining room, which has tables, booths, and seating up at the bar. There is also outside patio seating too. The Friendly Toast has been expanding aggressively with the openings of this new location in Salem and South Nashua happening very recently .  I stopped in at the newly opened Salem NH Friendly Toast for lunch. I already had an idea of what I wanted and sat up at the bar for quick service. Since I've already enjoyed plenty of egg dishes, I ordered a lunch sandwich, the Snap, Crackle Cluck ($19 plus tax). My food was served to me in 10 minutes. This sandwich was very messy to eat, which had very firm house Rice Krispies coated chicken breast smothered in hot honey sauce, Everything Bagel aioli, pickled onion slaw & sliced pickles on a soft sesame seed bun snd served with salted waffle fries & a Grillo's pickle, really good! I finished my lunch, but I was stuffed. I got the check, which was $20.62 with tax and before tip.  Overall, The Friendly Toast is a fun place to have brunch and the service was very good at the bar. read more

We were first-timers today and LOVED everything -- service, food, atmosphere, prices! Our server, Liz, had great suggestions and made our experience wonderful. Try the habanero strawberry jelly! I visited the new Friendly Toast location in Salem, NH for the first time today and booked a 12pm reservation. When I arrived, I checked in and was told it would be a few minutes before being seated. The restaurant was busy, and while waiting I noticed the entryway became very crowded as guests stood inside. It might be helpful if benches were added outside--especially on a beautiful day like today--as it would create a better flow of traffic and make it easier for the staff to move around. Once seated, my friend and I had Chris as our server, who was very kind, professional, and attentive throughout our meal. read more

I took my family here tonight and it was not a great experience. We are a family of 6...my husband and I and 4 kids 8-14. My little one got a tiny little meal off of the kids menu. The rest of us got omelets. They charge extra for everything...even a tiny side of ranch, jam for your toast. The service was not great. Had to find the waitress several times. She was not that friendly. Got the bill, $178!!! For omelets, a couple of mocktails, Shirley temples. No alcohol. Since when is a family of six a large party that is subject to a mandatory 20% tip?? No wonder the server didn't care. Lesson learned. We will never, ever be back. Almost $200 for subpar breakfast food? I don't think so. Very disappointing experience. Bright clean place, great location, good service. That's where it ends..... We ordered the Spicy Salmon Sally sandwich, it wasn't bad except it had absolutely no salmon on it. By the time the weight staff notified the manager and the manager finally came over. We eat what we had because we had to go. We also ordered the Friendly Benedict, which was a basic Eggs Benedict. When it arrived, it looked good yet the problem was the eggs were hard-boiled. It was served on a grilled toasted English muffin that was so tough. I had to saw through it. Came here for my husband's birthday. Cool looking place but my husband and I both ordered French toast - one piece for $11, two pieces for $14. For that price I assumed they would be large slices but we were so wrong. What came out looked like tiny slices of wonder bread put in a toaster with a pad of butter on top. His was burnt. The waitress didn't care that we were disappointed. We paid $40 for two coffees and 3 slices of toast. So disappointing. Never coming here again. Worst birthday ever. read more

We got there about 10 am on a Friday morning. It was not busy. It took our server 10 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink. This was after we asked the hostess if we had been assigned a server. Four servers were just hanging around talking and not paying any attention to the customers. We order. I got the chicken cordon blu Bennie and my husband got the Irish Bennie. We have been to the Friendly Toast in Bedford, NH and loved it. My Bennie was supposed to have two chicken breasts, I got one chicken finger cut up. The one in Bedford was so good, this one was barely passable. My husband had ordered his corned beef crispy, and it wasn't. The coffee had obviously been sitting there for awhile and we were not asked if we wanted a refill. I won't return here but will drive to Bedford instead. read more

Came with a great group of friends for a belated birthday brunch. Didn't have to make reservation at the time but they do have a live waitlist on there Yelp page to see if it's required to be place on the list upon arrival. One downfault was having to wait for your entire group to arrive before being able to be seated at your table even when being placed on the reservation waiting list. But I do highly recommend the Samosa flight they offer with four different favors to start off your brunch on there menu. The portions of the orders were great sharing with a group. Wanted to try this place and was the most disappointed I have ever been in a breakfast and the ridiculous pricing. The waiter was the only pleasant experience. Had an omelet that had very little ingredients and arrived at room temperature at best. My wife experienced the same. "Toast" was barely toasted. And was one piece of bread. The couple that was with us experienced the same lack of quality and contents in their food. Omelets cost over $20.00, and coffee was more than the going rate of most breakfast rate at $4.50. Food lacked flavor, It is no surprise the restaurant was nearly empty. (The waited said it was due to the ongoing construction. I was even more appalled when the bill arrived for more than $100.
