My husband went to IHop on Loop 323 by Walmart this morning for Veterans Day breakfast. When he entered most of the tables had not been cleaned, so he had to wait for a table. He waited around 10 minutes before a waitress showed up to take his order. He ordered the Veteran Day Special. The waitress brought his coffee. After a 30 minute wait she finally brought his food to him. What was so sad is after he finished his meal he was brought a bill for $4.00 which was the cost of his coffee. He paid his bill. We sat down at 9:58. It was freezing in the restaurant and I know it wasn't just me because I overheard multiple customers complaining about the same thing. The man gave us drinks and took our order, but that was the last time we saw him until the food came out an hour later. I had one glass of orange juice that was empty by the time we got our food and it was never refilled or was even asked for a refill. The food around a little cold and we were missing 4 pieces of bacon because they ran out. That was no big deal, until they brought out either turkey bacon or undercooked bacon. Not what we ordered. When I finally asked for a refill, our server told me one second. I never got the refill after about 5-10 minutes so I asked for the check and to-go boxes. It allowed me to chose the items I wanted and charged me. When I arrived to pick it up, they said they did not actually have gluten-friendly waffles. We waited 40 minutes before having to walk up to the counter to wait another 10 minutes. The food for breakfast is amazing and the salmon with rice and green beans was alright. The salmon is very appealing but alittle bland in its own I would recommend it coming with a lemon or a small serving sauce. The rice and green beans were decent as well alittle dry for the rice. I don't expect perfect for this type of meal I would still try giving some flavor for the non-breakfast choices. Overall better communication and teamwork, it's all about service here.
