We sat down at 9:58. It was freezing in the restaurant and I know it wasn't just me because I overheard multiple customers complaining about the same thing. The man gave us drinks and took our order, but that was the last time we saw him until the food came out an hour later. I had one glass of orange juice that was empty by the time we got our food and it was never refilled or was even asked for a refill. The food around a little cold and we were missing 4 pieces of bacon because they ran out. That was no big deal, until they brought out either turkey bacon or undercooked bacon. Not what we ordered. When I finally asked for a refill, our server told me one second. I never got the refill after about 5-10 minutes so I asked for the check and to-go boxes. My husband went to IHop on Loop 323 by Walmart this morning for Veterans Day breakfast. When he entered most of the tables had not been cleaned, so he had to wait for a table. He waited around 10 minutes before a waitress showed up to take his order. He ordered the Veteran Day Special. The waitress brought his coffee. After a 30 minute wait she finally brought his food to him. What was so sad is after he finished his meal he was brought a bill for $4.00 which was the cost of his coffee. He paid his bill. Me and my friends come here almost every Sunday before church. On occasion our school comes here after a show (Theatre or Choir) Food- The food is really good! I mean it is breakfast. What can beat Waffles or Pancakes in the morning. Everything comes out hot and tasty. Service- The serves are so nice. They are very patient when it comes to us. We have come here with at most 50 people and filled that little room in the back. But most of the time it's just me and 4-5 others for breakfast before church. Ambiance- It's very Qwaint in size. My standard for ihop is lower than other restaurants. They are so consistently poor that I don't expect quality. Saturday I placed an online order ok ihop.com (not DoorDash). It allowed me to chose the items I wanted and charged me. When I arrived to pick it up, they said they did not actually have gluten-friendly waffles. (Out of stock) and they could not refund me at the store. The manager said they actually can't refund online orders. They instructed me to call their corporate office. I called and they also have not refunded me. They "submitted a case". No estimated date that they'd process a refund. Note to Ihop: you should not charge people for items that are out of stock. Take a note from Starbucks; online ordering is up to date with in-store inventory. Also, if you can't give me what I paid for, I'm owed my money back immediately. The IHOP #3414 on the loop by Walmart has the nastiest manager named Shannon. She was rude and the district manager Lupae should really consider demoting her. My grand daughter and I ordered the Special Mixed Berry French toast. the picture attached is how it came out to us. Those are freezer burnt raspberry's only. It should have strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. I asked our wonderful waitress and she agreed it didn't even resemble what was picture on the menu. Our waitress had to tell Shannon five times to come talk to me and when she showed up she said it has mixed berries on it. Seriously then she got a major attitude toward me because I told her it was not what I ordered. I know people have bad days and it's hectic over the holidays but when you have 3 cooks quit because of Shannon ( and this happened this morning) and you call in cooks that are not familiar with the menu. After two hours of being there waiting we were informed our food wasnt made but was thrown away due to them not having the tables labeled correctly for what table got what food, so they thought we left apparently. There was poor service as a team. At this restaurant we came ready to eat lunch and we're sat down but the server who was waiting us was not communicated about it. We waited 40 minutes before having to walk up to the counter to wait another 10 minutes. The food for breakfast is amazing and the salmon with rice and green beans was alright. The salmon is very appealing but alittle bland in its own I would recommend it coming with a lemon or a small serving sauce. The rice and green beans were decent as well alittle dry for the rice. I don't expect perfect for this type of meal I would still try giving some flavor for the non-breakfast choices. Overall better communication and teamwork, it's all about service here. We had to ask to get water. Our server Christian never came around. We had to wait for a friend, but while doing so we had asked for an orange juice.
