Our waitress was very rude last night. We come here almost every week but last night after having our waitress Isabella (or Bella, I can't remember), we might start going to the other location. At the beginning of my meal I asked for my pancakes to come out later than my food, but she brought them out at the same time. It was busy & kinda late (9-10pm) when I went. I may have fallen under the radar a little, since it was a while before a server took my order. The layout of this IHOP is different from most of the others I have visited. It almost seems like part of the kitchen is in a walkway between the eating areas & the entrance & the restrooms. The restrooms have 2 stalls, which are well-maintained. I got the blackberry & vanilla double-dipped brioche French toast with the egg combo. The eggs were scrambled & had melted cheese on them, & there were also hash browns included. I liked that this was a delicious vegetarian-friendly dish. The French toast had enough blackberries & vanilla drizzled on them that I didn't need any additional syrup. I'd order this again, but I have so many other delicious vegetarian-friendly menu options to try! Despite the busy & crowded atmosphere tonight, I'd still prefer this IHOP location to the one on the NW Loop. I hope to come back sometime! read more

Excellent customer service. Food was delicious [Machacha Tacos, blueberry lemonade egg and bacon combo, and a chocolate happy face with an egg] and the atmosphere was lovely. Kid friendly environment which is a bonus for us. Server was more than happy to add on our side items even after we had placed our order. The wait time for a table surprisingly wasnt bad for a Saturday. [5 mins] As we were getting ready to go our server, Ms. Angie, asked if if we even wanted to go drinks. My family and I have been eating here for years now. The food is great, service is usually excellent. This last time we had a server named, Maria and she was fantastic!! She was friendly, attentive and efficient. No complaints here. The food was great. The pumpkin spice waffle was tasty. The coffee is really good and hot, but not too hot. Our meal was perfect. I forgot to remind my daughter that the hot water in the bathroom sink is super hot. It's always been like that. She let me know when she came back from the bathroom. My son and I went into this ihop for a quick breakfast at 9:00 am on 08/27 wasn't many customers but started coming and soon parking lot full. But we ordered at 9:05 and finally walked out at 10:00 never being served a meal. The service here isn't that great mostly on the weekends I found. For a 24 hour restaurant, it's alright and the only place to go to in town for breakfast food, 2 in the morning. The eggs are good, French toast amazing, pancakes are great, and the seasonal items are a hit or miss. I personally liked the Adaams Family Hot Chocolate they had for Halloween. read more

This I Hop has always been a failure. We tried them three times a few years ago, and the food always came out wrong, the surroundings were not clean, and the service was dismal. Since the awesome IHOP on the south loop burned recently, We thought we would try this one again. Still dismal. On a Monday evening at just before 6 PM we entered to find the restaurant largely unoccupied. There was exactly one waitress (we were told the other waitress had called in sick). My mom ordered a side salad. I ordered a chicken fajita omelette. We ordered water to drink. After at least 30 minutes waiting, and the waitress telling us there was only one cook, and the grilled chicken was taking some time, our food finally arrived. My chicken fajita omelette had no chicken, and The Serano pepper that was supposed to have been grilled was raw and chopped. My mothers salad was a full-size dinner salad WITH chicken, which she did not order. I wasn't even sure what I was eating, so after several minutes of being ignored I got up and got a menu for myself to see if I could identify what they had served me. I've been waiting several minutes for the manager to stroll through, which she had been doing regularly without helping either the waitress (or the cook, I imagine). I explained the issues to her, and she tried to convince me that they don't even have a side salad because there's no way to ring it up on the cash register. This, although a side salad is offered with several of their entrées. She said she would take care of adjusting the check after acknowledging that there was no chicken in in my omelette. Since it was such a large salad, my mom asked for a box to carry the balance of it home. The waitress entered and left the dining area three times waiting on other tables; but never bringing the box around to us. I told my mom if she came and left the dining area without bringing the box one more time we were going to get up and leave. Well, that is exactly what happened. We were never presented with a check, we did not leave a tip, we will not go back. Ever. We recommend everyone should stay away from this total failure and save yourself from a similar disappointing experience. read more

I'd give less stars if it were possible. The entire tables food was cold, fruit on top of the burnt French toast was actually still frozen. We said something to our waiter who grabbed the manager, Tina, she seemed nice enough and offered to get us fresh food but we declined. She said she'd take the meals off the ticket, we get the register and the total is still $8 which we weren't worried about until we thought about how nasty the food was so again the manager came over and acted like nothing happened. She ended up shooing(with her hand in our faces) us away and told us to just leave. Our waiter was amazing, it wasn't his fault our food was cold, it all came out rather quickly and he apologized profusely, even commenting that we were his second table to complain. We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday, 11/19/17 at approximately 1:40 a.m. and waited 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged. There was no hostess at the door the entire time. There was no one answering the phones, and there was only 5 party's in the restaurant. 4 customers that came in after us left after not be acknowledged after about 10 minutes. They left after waiting about 15 minutes. We left after waiting about 20 minutes. We were never acknowledged again after three of the wait staff continuously walked past us standing at the door. I was a fan of their pot roast and had not eaten it in several years. The food was great, I had the steak omelet and my wife had eggs bacon hash browns and chocolate chip pancakes. It always seems that we have to wait a little longer for chocolate chip pancakes, but no big deal. When we came in Ihop, we saw 7 people waiting to be seated, but we didn't have to wait at all. So a plus there. The waiter was spectacular, he was always around and made sure we were taken care of. We left him a large tip. Only complaint is that Ihop is too small in Tyler, really cramped.
