Piercing shops can be intimidating if you've never been but everyone here is so friendly and quick to greet you! I was greeted by the daughter who was wearing scrubs which made me laugh because I thought it was their uniform but it was actually for her classes. Somehow it was comforting to see though! Last review I posted here, I though I was done with my piercings, but I guess not! I recently got broken up with by my fiancé and decided it was time for something new.... so nipple piercings it is! I got them both done for a total of $40, plus about $16 for the H2Ocean spray, which I definitely recommend. Taylor did my piercings, and was amazing. She made me feel super comfortable, in as much of an awkward situation as it was. I was probably back there for a total of 10 minutes. As far as the pain goes, it's definitely a bitch! I got my nipples pierced by Serena today. I had call before hand to make sure she could do it, do to the fact that I have inverted nipples. She made it super comfortable for me. She made sure she would be able to do it before anything. The whole thing was fast an easy and she made the whole experience so much easier for me. The piercers are friendly and good at what they do. It's awesome that IIcon does piercings only, rather than tattoo parlors that happen to offer piercing services. About 4 years after having a poorly done rook piercing from Wild Bill's Tattoo, the cartilage had become so thin that the piercing looked absolutely terrible, and even the smallest barbell I could buy was too big. I came to IIcon in February 2013 to get my rook re-pierced (the original piercing was so shallow that Corey was able to pierce right behind it). Took advantage of one of their 2-for deals, and got my conch pierced on the same ear. They only take cash, but there is an ATM (with a several dollar fee) in their shop. Corey was kind, patient, and very professional. He talked calmly through the piercings to distract me, just like when you have a skilled nurse giving you a shot. I did tell him that I am a "sweller", and that the jewelry he was using on my conch would probably be too small. He assured me that it should be fine, but I woke up the next day to an extremely swollen ear and the jewelry incredibly tight on it. The piercers at IIcon make it clear that they are more than happy to help with any piercing problems that may arise, including botched piercings from other places. I've seen photos on their Instagram page of some really gnarly stuff they've fixed up. I would have gone in that day to have the jewelry changed, but I was too far away from their shop and couldn't afford to miss class to drive all the way out to their shop. I had the jewelry changed somewhere else, and both of my piercings healed quickly. A year and a half later, they are both in perfect shape. I don't see the need to ever go anywhere else for a piercing. read more

Serena did my piercings and she did an amazing job they look great! Corey was there guiding his apprentice Serena, and she nailed It! well second Daith piercing for right ear now and officially have no migraine. i got the left done Thursday and had no pain on the left but by fri night sat morning I has migraine symptoms on the right..wow never had tunnel vision on one eye before..lol so was here at opening on Tuesday with a rightsided migraine and with my fibromyalgia inflaming my face on the right side..omg. happy to say it gradually stopped as soon as the piercing was in and done. This review is for Serena! I had the most pleasant experience getting a double helix done by her this week! I'm a piercing amateur .. got my first holes done at one of those shops at the mall (not going to mention names ;)), which I do NOT recommend. Ears were inflamed, hot and red during healing. Needless to say I was expecting the same thing here, so I was REaLLY nervous. Serena was so sweet, and put me at ease right away! She was so patient and worked very quickly. Before I knew it, she was done!! A couple days later, I wanted to come back in because I didn't love my placement of the earrings - my mistake! She was super understanding, and told me to come in to get them adjusted. The process wasn't painful at all, and the healing process is also not bad at all! A little tender, but not even close to my first experience at the mall I'm recommending Serena to my friends because this girl knows what's up!
