The guy that greeted us was super nice. The piercer was nice as well. I should have waited til Halloween or something but I wanted it done now. I only gave 3 stars because it feels like she went too low in the back of my lip. She hit the outside area of where I wanted it but instead of going straight through she went at an angle. I seriously cannot say enough good things about the piercer here. She was SO good. I got my conch, helix, and third pierced and the placement was perfect. Everything was lined up so clean and looked exactly how I wanted. She clearly knew what she was doing and made the whole experience really comfortable. The pricing is also a huge plus. You don't have to pay for jewelry because it's all included in the price which makes the price so much more reasonable compared to every other place AND she uses flat back earrings too The shop had a super chill atmosphere. Had a pleasant experience at Fat Cat. I didn't really come in for a tattoo or piercing, so to speak, but I came in for help with a piercing situation. One of my nose piercings came off and I initially thought it had been stuck inside my nose. I called this place and asked for help and the guy on the phone told me to come right in. I was helped right away and was able to get a replacement jewelry piece for my nose piercing. The workers were nice and I was in and out pretty quickly. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. One star is too nice for the way the totally fucked their customer's over. I'm beyond disappointed with the false advertisement. They say they close at 10pm on their website, but for Friday the 13th, the store closes at 12am (via picture I uploaded from their instagram post), yet after driving 20 minutes go get here they suddenly say they arent taking anymore people? If they advertise and promote that they'll close at 12am, then don't suddenly change your mind. As this looks bad on your business and a slap in the face to your customer's who look forward to doing business with you. Literally as we were about to get in line, the person before us told us that he was told to tell everyone behind him that was the last. Turned 18 and same day went as a walk in to get my first tattoo. I went specifically for Marcos and couldn't be happier with the tattoo/experience! My tattoo ended up taking two sessions only because I was a bit of a baby during the process and of course wanted a huge tattoo lol. Marcos was so attentive and understanding with my embarrassingly low pain tolerance and made sure to talk me through the process and stop when it was obvious I needed a small break. My tattoo started as a shitty drawing I made and Marcos took the drawing and made it a lot (LOT) prettier and took the time to make sure I liked the design, talked about any changes, and printed 3 different sizes for comparison for me to see which size I'd like best! I've been to the other fat cat before, (just for piercings), and I find this location so much better. It feels more comfortable as it's more open, seems so much cleaner, and the people are much more welcoming! They do ID and give out forms to fill out with your personal information to make sure they know what they need to; chance of fainting etc. which I found definitely comforting. Not only was the hospitality amazing but the work as well! There are three Fat Cat Tattoo places. This was the Madison location. My grandmother, recently passed away. On July 3rd, we had her funeral. Six family members, and myself, decided we wanted to get a small daisy tattoo, in her memory. I called Fat Cat Tattoo, they said they could do that for us. Not only did we wait in that hot ass place (no AC or fans...I don't even know how they work in there) for over an hour for a very small daisy to be drawn..we were then told it would be $120 for each tattoo!! Please see the pics for how small they are! Then, when it was my Aunts turn, (my grandmas daughter) she questioned the way the flower looked and that it was opposite of the original image and she wanted it to look the correct way. His reply was "it's a flower, so it doesn't matter what way it is" he seemed pissed off to have to go and change it. It was a terrible experience for my Aunt, who has just lost her mom and now she will always think of this when she sees her tattoo! Super insensitive and freaking rude! What a dick move Marcos!! Her tattoo (yes, I know needs to heal fully) looks waaaaaay different then ours AND there is a large white dot in the middle! Went here for my first tattoo and the artist, Chase Elsberry, mistakenly didn't add a word to the saying I wanted tattooed. I was so excited when I left that I didn't notice until I was on the road and his response to me was that it was my fault because I signed papers and didn't proof read it before I left the shop. Not sure what difference it would of made when I noticed but I gave him the correct picture and when he traced the temporary one it was also correct. He was very arrogant and agreed to discount me on a cover up but continued to remind me it was my own fault. Thanks for ruining my first tattoo experience Chase! read more

On Friday the 13th, I went to get a tattoo since they were offering special prices for that day. I stood in line for 2hours. Once I got inside, I was seated at a station with a tattoo artist, I didn't get his name but he was a white male with dreads. I asked for the price of the tattoo I wanted. Making sure it was included in the specials they we're running that day. That tattoo I wanted was not included in the price range of the special they were having. I then chose a different pattern which was WAY smaller and a touch up on an existing tattoo. (both are finger tattoos). At that time he told me "you can't be changing your mind, we're not going to do this". Keep in mind, tattoos are permanent!Those are words that should not come from a "professional "tattoo artist.The new tattoo and touch up he said would be over a $100. I felt I was being over charged and taken advantage of. The size of my tattoo fell into the specials they we're running of $30-40 sized tattoo. I decided to just get the new finger tattoo and not the touch up. He tried to charge me $50 although the tattoo I was getting fell into the $30 category. I let him complete the tattoo. During the tattooing,he asked another co-worker if they were doing the special-she told him he was able to charge whatever,it was up to him. He proceeded to finish the tattoo and changed the price of charging me $50 to $30. He did a bad job on the tattoo. The lines are crooked. I felt he rushed. read more
